Chapter Twenty
Chapter Twenty
“Stop the car!” I scream in horror as the car accelerates at a terrific speed, and it feels like I am losing my breath, but he gives nothing away, except the menacing expression on his face.
“Stop the car please! Are you going to get us killed?” I scream in fear again, my pupils dilating in terror, but he seemed unconcerned, and instead, accelerated the car even more.
“Brandon!” I scream with tears streaming down my pale, terrified face.
He glanced at me before slowing down the car to an abrupt stop by the roadside at the sound of his name. The tears in my eyes flow down uncontrollably and the sobs in my throat hitch up, punctuating every tear that falls.
“Seat belt.” He says more calmly, this time, staring at me intently.
“Seat belt, seriously? You almost got us killed!” I spit in disgust.
“Belt seat then.” he says dryly, spiking tons of anger floods in me.
“You monster!” I say hitting him crying, but he cocks his head to one side, with a bland expression.
“Ready?” He asks looking at me with an unreadable expression.
I sneer at him before reaching out to buckle my seat belts and fold my arms angrily as I rest on the car seat and fix my gaze on the road.
“Kill us if you want,” I say icily then I turn to glare at him, “but know that I’ll go to heaven and you hell!” I turn away from him and fix my eyes back to the road.
He chuckled darkly in his deep, grim voice. He seemed to be amused by what I said. Ugh!
“I bet there are roast chickens and barbecue down there in hell, you can never find that in heaven. You might wanna join me.” He says in a raspy, yet sarcastic voice. He seemed to be taking everything for a joke which annoyed me so much. I glared at him angrily before looking away, and he turned on the ignition of the car, but this time, he drove more gently.
* * * * *
He drove into the parking lot of a very magnificent building which was obviously his home. Wait… If he owned something this beautiful, why did he bother booking such a big hotel?
Well, men will be men - I smirk mentally.
“Wait here.” He commands and gets out of the car, then as if remembering something, he comes back and slides into the car beside me, heaving.
He starts unbuttoning his shirt slowly, with his gaze fixed on me, while I stare back in horror at him with my jaw dropped. Was he trying to seduce me?
“What are you trying to do?” I ask shakily with terror in my eyes.
“What do you think?” He asks huskily, never tearing his gaze from me. His lips looked like just washed peaches; succulent, seductive.
“Don’t you dare…” I try to say but he swings the shirt over to my face, filling me with his scent, shutting me up.
“What…?” I ask confusedly.
His chest was bare and inviting. How could one man be both annoying and hot.
Temptation sizzled through me and I could feel my throat go dry at the sight of his naked body, and the desire shooting up in between my legs.
“You might need that to cover the little strawberry juice you brewed down there.” He said pointing at my pyjamas, and I gaped at him in shock, my breath leaving me. Jeez! I was stained, and he saw that! No, no, no, no, no, no, no - how can I face him now!?
He winked at me with a lewd smile plastered on his face before stepping out of the car, bare chested. He turned around to my side of the car and held the door open for me, with his other hand stretched out in front of me to receive me.
If embarrassed was a person, at that point, I would be her. Jeez, you don’t wanna see the epic look he had on his face, like he knew all my secrets and like he was mocking me for it. I hesitantly took his hand with my face all flushed up as I got out of the car. I quickly wrapped his shirt around my waist shyly, looking anywhere else but him.
He took my hand possessively and walked me into the house, to the elevators. He pings some numbers as we get into the elevator and it starts moving swiftly. He turns to look at me but I looked away feeling embarrassed.
My cheeks were burning red, all flushed up… gosh! How could he easily make me feel this way?
He gently flipped a stray strand that doted my face to the back of my ear, and I half-flinched at his touch; his ever arousing touch. He rubbed my chin gently before tilting it slantly to look up at him. His eyes were hungry, possessive, yet hesitant. His clear crystal eyes gleamed in the light, looking searchingly at me, as if it held a valley of questions.
“Scared of monsters?” he asks huskily, cocking his head to one side and I once more flush scarlet.
How can he be both daring and sexy at once?
I gently brushed his hand from off my face and fearfully stepped away from him, but he took ominous footsteps towards me, following everystep I took backwards until I was pinned to the walls of the elevator with his hands and body trapping me in place.
I fearfully lift up my eyes to meet his and he is watching me intently, with desire flickering in his grey, intimidating eyes, weakening me to my knees, making my feet turn to jelly underneath.
“You’re pretty when you’re mad at me.” He says huskily with his breath gently massaging my face, enticing me, arousing me.
I swallow the lump in my throat and subconsciously draw my lips in, biting it gently. He clenched his jaw at my reaction and was about to touch my lips but the elevator pinged to a stop with the doors sliding open; and I gasped at who I saw standing by the door as if waiting for us patiently.
Lucavo!
Noooooooo!
