"We gathered all of you here as we reassign ranks and give opportunities to slayers who worked hard and deserving to be one of the Elites." Introduction by one of the High Officials of the Hunters Association.
We lined up like soldiers while listening to the speaker in front. We were wearing our slayers uniforms, so everyone here was in all black outfits.
I have seen a few acquaintances of mine, my batchmates at VSA. There are some that I don t really know.
"I won't prolong it any longer, I'll mention the top 5 slayers who are now part of the Elites."
Frost Von Hagen
Fire Vallez
Elenor Blaque
Lucas Morelock
Marquis Caligari
"Those who were mentioned, please step forward to marecognize you." As he said, I took my step forward. We are already at the front of the line.
Some are whispering, and others you will notice are disgusted. I looked at my companions here in front. They're all of my batchmates. Frost is still a classmate of mine at VSA. I arranged for us when the officer spoke again.
"Why were they chosen? Some of you I see such expressions. First of all, your weekly quota. They have the highest number of vampires killed. Take a look at this." From the podium the speaker presented himself on the big screen.
The record of our weekly quota flashed from the projector to the screen.
"Aren't they the leaders? Von Hagen and Vallez. Our top Slayers who just came in this year. You can see in these two that they really have something to throw. Triple compared to most of you they kill every day. Blaque, Morelock and Caligari. Are you still wondering? They're double. So you have to improve your work! You get paid to work well! " He scolded us.
"You five, proceed to the head office." We immediately complied and the annual meeting looked like a sermon series for the slayers.
"It's nice to see you again, Ms. Vallez." One of my companions whispered as we walked to the head office.
It was Frost Von Hagen.
"I don't think we feel the same, Mr. Von Hagen." I imitated the tone of his speech. It went quiet as I expected but I hit him when he suddenly kissed my left cheek.
"Ooooh, serves him right!" Elenor Blaque laughs heartily. He walked with me, leaving the three behind because Lucas and the Marquis were supposed to stand up, he held out his hand and introduced himself.
"I'm Elenor Blaque, nice to meet you Fire Vallez."
I accepted her hand and released it immediately. She smiled at me before we finally entered the head office.
"Here's your new uniform and your metal badge." Ms. handed us over. Janet, one of the head office staff is the new uniform she says.
"Your insane dude!" The Marquis laughed, they had just entered. I saw Frost's face. He was still smiling even though he had a cut on his lip.
"Go to the Conference Room, the Head Master is waiting for you." I didn't flinch any more and headed into the Conference Room.
We bowed our heads when the Head Master appeared.
"Take a sit." He pointed to five swivel chairs at the end of the long table. He is at the other end of this table. His authoritative voice made us follow him real quick. The five of us were already sitting in the swivel chair and could feel the Head Master speaking.
"As part of the Elites, you five will be called The Falcons. You are all aware that there is still a group that separates the Elites. And your group is assigned to train newbies to enter the Hunters Association."
"Are we preparing for war?" I asked that too but I was preceded by the shameless Frost.
"Good question young boy. For now nothing, but you know. Tomorrow, the vampires will declare war again just like what happened 15 years ago. The slayers of those times were not ready because the training was weak. So you are the ones assigned to that task so that it would not happen again. "
"Do we need to slay vampires now that our work has increased?" This time, it was Elenor who asked.
"No, you are no longer required. It's up to you if you continue. But I need your full attention in the training you will do with them."

Zephyr's another descendant of mine.

"Are you high blood too Zeph? What on Earth is happening?" He took the wine I was holding and swallowed it. Why, the fool is still drinking!
"Did I give you the permission to drink that ?!" I blurted. I'm still in pain.
I don't know but since I left without Fire stopping me, I feel even worse.
"So that happened?" This pakealamerong has started again.
"What the hell are you talking about?" I said I took some wine from him and drank it with just one drink.
"Is it about that girl?" Zephyr interfered.
"Yeah, it looks like what I saw in my vision happened. Just relax Xavierre. Did you ask who was with him? Isn't it? You're too pessimistic! Tsk!" I saw in my peripheral vision, Zephyr shook his head.
"I didn't know you saw her, what's her reaction about that?" I didn't answer Zephyr's question.
"..."
"You know you'll talk about that later! Look broken hearted oh!" He finally dismissed Zephyr, leaving the two of us alone.
"What now ?!" I hate not Brent but here Vishnyr. He is too talkative.
"You know Boss what? You concluded right away without asking Fire properly."
"Hey! Have you met Fire yet? Why did you sound like you've known her? Tss."
"We haven't even met yet, so what? I have this feeling that when I meet him we'll really get along!" Yabang naman nito.

I'm older here than Aling Maria. I'm a hundred way older than her. Silly me.
