TVS 34: Asleep
Melissa Damienne's POV
It has been so long since you're sleeping.
I pulled out a deep sigh. I am combing Stellara's long silk hair. Fire really got her beautiful hair from her.
"Madame M, who's that?" Secretary May pointed at Stellara, she's confused. Maybe because it is the first time that I let someone in inside this room.
"She's Stellara Damienne." Her lips formed an "o".
Stellara is my brother's wife. My best friend and at the same time a sister to me.
I have to keep her here for 24 consecutive years now. And she has been sleeping for that long.
I would appreciate it if she complains for a back ache. I want her back, I want her to be with us again.
"You know, my Uncle's obsessed with her." Secretary May rolled her eyes.
"I know. Speaking of your Uncle, how's them?" I asked pertaining to their preparations.
"Tito Antonio added more men. They are really preparing to overthrow the king! What if I tell the Vladymirs?" She said and was about to pull her phone to contact her brother, Tanj.
I held her hand, she stopped dialing her phone.
"Relax, don't meddle with Xavierre's plans."
"Plans?"
Flashback ~
I really am missing my niece. I was about to call her via phone when I saw a man's shadow.
It was Xavierre. I invited him to sit, which he gladly did.
"So, the king's here. Why?" I sent up May and Brent to take care of Fire.
"I need to clarify some things with you, Madame." I arched my brows, I need to clear things with him too, about my niece.
"Alright, follow me then."
End of Flashback ~
I need to move now. I dialed Brent's number.
"Brent, bring Zagan here. I need to talk to him." It's been a few weeks since he and May came back. I know that Xavierre will not abandon my nephew.
[Copy that Madame.] I ended up the call.
"Just continue to spy on your Uncle, I'll notify Xavierre about your reports regarding them." My secretary bowed at me and left the room.
"How I wish I could make the time run fast for you to wake up." I know Stellara can't hear me. I continued to caress her hair.
A year more to wake you up, a year more for Dmitri to know the truth.
Flashback ~
"Amelia! Stop that! Your potions have spread!" Stellara exclaimed at Amelia, she's making another love potion. I just watched them two when Kuya Dmitri approached his wife.
"Stella! Enough! You looked like a real charcoal!" He supported it to its feet, and even wiped its face, which was almost covered with charcoal.
"Amelia! Are you home yet?" I reached out to Amelia, she's cleaning up their mess so I decided to help her.
"Let's go to Celina?" I am with Amelia, Celina is another best friend of us. Even though she's a slayer, she never let anyone harm us.
We're a bunch of vampires, a sorcerer and a slayer. We were supposed to be at war, but things really turned upside down.
We're so happy when Celina married Maximo Vallez, another top slayer. He became a friend of mine, and close to Amelia and Stellara too.
Everything is perfect! Not until Dmitri's dream to rule a community became his greed. He wanted to become the King. He wanted to replace the Vladymirs, but because of a sudden incident, Stellara and their son were abducted by Antonio Le Rouge.
Antonio's a good friend of my brother Dmitri, so he didn't believe me that this is what took his mother and father.
Luckily they were saved by Romulus, that time he already appointed Xavierre as the vampire king. Xavierre is too young.
When I learned that Stellara was in Romulus' care, I immediately went to them. I thanked him for saving Stellara and her son. Stellara left with me, leaving her son in Romulus' custody. We know, it won't leave her child alone.
We left without letting Dmitri know. He keeps on believing his damn friend, Antonio.
"Let's go to Manila, I'll hide you there." We left with Amelia.
Stellara is pregnant with their second child. We kept it a secret. When Dmitri finds out, he will surely use his son to take the throne.
"How's Celina? She's human and their lives are short! I want to be with them for a long time, I want to go back there." As days goes by, Celina topped Stellara's concern. That's also what I want to happen, but how?
"I'll take care of it, don't worry. I'll take them, and bring them here." Amelia raised her hand, and says leave all to her.
"How?"
Just as Amelia's promise, she brought Celina and Maximo. We all talked about what Amelia's spell would be, it's a spell to preserve them all, including Stellara. For in case Dmitri finds him it won't find him.
The spell will last for almost two centuries, Amelia accidentally discovers the spell, even she also wants to live when everything is right and decides that she too should sleep for 175 years first.
I will be left to watch over them. The spell became successful, Stellara and her baby, Amelia, Celina and Maximo were sleeping soundly.
While watching them, I started to build my company. For me to have money and be able to take care of them for a few years.
And I wasn't wrong, my brother is really looking for his wife and son, and he thought they were in me. I notified Romulus to hide Vishnyr. We thought that hiding Stellara and Vishnyr would hit everything, but no. Everything got worse. Over the decades my brother became more and more round about Antonio.

After 175 years of sleeping and waiting for me, they woke up. And nine months after waking up, finally Stellara gave birth to her baby. It was a girl, Celina, Maximo and Amelia and I were all happy. But Stellara actually became more emotional.
We decided to see if everything was okay and go back to the province. We thought that after almost two centuries of hiding my brother had changed. Still not. I found out he built an academy that was for slayers. That was another strategy for the plan to overthrow the Vladymirs.
Hunters Association, that was the association of slayers then, Celina and Maximo were one of the top slayers and the future of the association depends on them. But it collapsed when we included Celina here. They were the only remaining slayers then. But then Dmitri started to build the Hunters Association again by multiplying the slayers.
It was successful because the Association was revived. This would have been a big problem if Romulus had not done it his way. Unbeknownst to my brother after the war that happened 16 years ago, Romulus joined the Hunters Association, as its head master. Now he is in charge there, and my brother still doesn't know anything about it.
I watched the actions of my brother and his staff towards Gydeon. Gydeon Acheros is my lover, we've been together for about 300 years I think. I asked him to watch over Dmitri for this past centuries and he never failed to give me details. All this time, Dmitri thought that Gydeon is really his descendant, since I told him to keep his identity unknown to my brother. Gydeon served as my eyes and ears so I knew what was going on. No one knows about my relationship with Gydeon. Even Stellara and Amelia didn't know.
I never drank any human blood, the opposite of my brother that was the favorite. Since Romulus' regime he has banned vampires from killing people just to be satisfied. He even built a so called blood market to be the source of the blood we drink in case we can no longer tolerate eating human food.
That was one of the ways people didn't notice that we were vampires because we also ate whatever they ate. We can control every human's mind too and make their minds believe that we are also human. And that includes Fire.
Yes, Fire is human. But he will remain human for about 25 years. When she was born, Stellara felt happy but there was still fear because maybe when Dmitri found out, she would take the child.
And then Amelia told us that her mother has a secret. A secret that only she and her mother knows.
That is what a vampire can be human. It is not a spell, but a curse.
For a vampire to become a human being, his mother had to sacrifice. In exchange for being human, the mother has to sleep for a long time, but the longest is only 25 years. He will sleep with the vampire blood that lingers on Fire's body.
It was against my will that Stellara did that. When casting the curse was done by Amelia, I brought Stellara's sleeping body back here to Manila.
And Fire was left with Celina and Maximo. I was glad that they raised Fire very well despite their early disappearance from him. I never expected her to be Xavierre's queen and at the same time a slayer.
I want her to know the truth as early as possible but knowing her, she won't believe me. So I decided to wait for the curse to break and bring Fire back to her real identity for her to believe. Her severe head aches are signs that the curse will soon disappear.
Once that she turned 25, the curse that enveloped their mother and daughter would be gone. Stellara will finally wake up, and when that happens we will fix everything right away. I just hope that before that happens he doesn t kill Xavierre.
I really feel sorry for dragging the Vladymirs in such hard situation. For centuries Dmitri hated them, and I need to fix everything! A little more time.
