chapter 68

*If they caught someone alive, I think they will be punishing the person somewhere to get informations out of the person and they must have gotten some since yesterday night and would be preparing to head out" Alex confirmed after watching the soldiers for a while.
"Yeah, they seem normal and unperturbed, just going on their usual routine with just a little ease and at alert to avoid being caught off guard again.
"If Sophia was shot by the soldiers just like I guess Celina must have been shot too, their corpse are already thrown away. But if she was shot from behind by the following enemy, she is likely to fall at the back of the building which is just where we were standing" Alex observed.
"So what is your suggestion?" Justin asked and jumped down from the wall, Alex followed him too.
"Like I said, if it was Gena's handwork, then she must have fallen here. Let me check for signs" Alex said and examined the area.
He found what he was looking for and told Justin that someone must have taken her either dead or alive away. And the problem is who took her and where he or she took her.
"If someone really took her, then she must be alive. We must find her, Alex," He said hopefully.
"We can only hope and pray. Let's go!" Alex took him to their car and told the driver to drive gently around and stop at every hospital or local clinic.
"Well, that is a good place to start. I'm glad you came, Alex. I am a coward, what could I have done without you?" Justin said appreciatively.
"I loved her too, this is the only way I can help her and I know she is safer with someone who truly love her and she loves the person too. And I happen to know that that person is you," Alex smiled at him.
"Thank you" Justin tapped his shoulder fondly.
"It is going to rain heavily soon, we have to cover at least seven hospitals before it starts raining and we also need shelter" Alex realized beforehand.
"You have the best observant eyes" Justin chuckled.

Frederick couldn't believe Mr Smith was such a dummy, the man already believes he is the winner and Fred cannot do anything stupid.
He told the driver to stop by a nearby pharmacy and get him drugs and he said it is to show him how much he really wants him to close the case and end the investigation.
Fred smiled to himself and just prayed that his friend got the message he sent and brings the military to intercede to set him free and catch the man.
"What is keeping him inside there?" Mr Smith asked and took another glance at his wristwatch.
"Must be crowded inside" Lee offered from the front seat.
Flying Dragon ran towards the car immediately with a plastic bag that must contain the medicine. He opened the third seat where Fred shared with Mr. Smith to give them the medicine because there was a barrier between each of the seats.
Fred knew that was a golden opportunity. Even if his friend doesn't show up, he has to escape anyhow. He made a promise and he has experienced worse treatment before. It is better he die trying than live to regret never trying at all.
He kicked Flying Dragon and pushed himself through the door and fell out. Gunshots accompanied him as he lurged for the sidewalk and ducked into the first street.
He was aware they were chasing him, so he didn't stop even when he heard other gunshots that must have come from the cops.
"Get in, Buddy!" He heard his best friend call and he dashed into his car and he sped off with tyre screeching speed.
"Thanks, man. I didn't know you saw the message" he grasped.
"I did, I was waiting for a perfect time and also waiting for the cops. And your timing was so damn splendid!" His friend laughed.
"I pray the cops catch that beast!" Fred cursed.
"Angelina called me, she sounds worried and I didn't know what to tell her"
"It is not safe here again. I know what to do, help me book an evening flight to Florida. I miss her and I need to see her"
"Call her and let her know that you are safe for now, she might develop heart attack since last night" Ben advised his friend.
"No, I want to surprise her. Ben, just do me a little favor. I think you should keep those documents, no one is looking your way, I will wait for everything to die down and I shall come back to pay him in his own coins when I feel the time is right" Fred requested.
"No problems, I will keep it. Let me call someone at the airport for reservations. You can stay in my house for the meantime" Ben smiled.
He took him to his house. He bathed, ate and rested his head. When he woke up, it was late in the evening and Ben informed him that his flight is booked for six o'clock.
He dressed up and was on his way out when the police phoned them to tell her that they were not able to capture the man.
"He is the most coy, I know they will let him escape," Fred muttered.
"Hop in, I will drop you off at the airport. We know the cops are not competent enough to chain that man, even if they do, he will buy his way out and no one will question that. It is better this way, you will surprise him" Ben said thoughtfully.
"If possible, help me tow my car from the Mountains Hotel's parking lot, but don't go there on your own, get people to do that so as not to arouse suspicions on yourself and put your life in danger" Fred requested.
"Alright, I will do just that," Ben nodded and gave him a friendly hug.
Fred entered the car and Ben drove out to the airport.
