Number 9
“It must be the Nanny, I would go get it.”
“Don’t worry, I would go get it instead.” Roman offered as he stood up. “Acting so gentlemanly, huh!” Lorelei muttered silently with her face beaming with smile.
Roman opened the door to meet a scrawny looking lady with glasses who looked oddly familiar. This was his first time meeting her but he didn’t know why or how but it looked like he knew the lady. He shrugged it off because it seemed he was staring too much with the thought that maybe it was just an uncanny resemblance.
“Uhm!, I am the nanny. Can I please come in.” The nanny said stuttering and Roman gave her a pointed look before letting her in.
“Since you are here, Ophelia. We would be leaving for work, take care of Xander please.” Lorelei said getting up, she pecked her son’s forehead before picking her bag
“Let’s go, shall we.” Lorelei said extending her hands to Roman, as they both Roman exited the house to go to work. When it comes to Lorelei, it was always hard for Roman to contain his erratic heart, he was nervous at the moment just by holding hands with her. He was never nervous when he was going for a war or undergoing any tough situations but the moment Lorelei took the initiative to hold his hands, he became nervous. The dancing electric force he felt because of their skin contact also made him nervous.
“They seemed to be lots of bubbly noises coming from the bar, don’t you think.” Lorelei observed when they reached the bar, they were lots of flashy cars outside and the noises coming from the bar was party like. It was not a normal occurrences for parties to be hold in the bar but it sometimes happens anyways.
“I do, what do you think it could be.” Roman gestured to her.
“It must be a party perhaps, come let’s go in,” Lorelei said dragging Roman along with her into the bar, through the back door. Stupid party didn’t allow him relish in the peace he felt holding arms with his mate.
“What’s going on?, Why’s they so many flashy cars outside the bar in the parking lots,” Lorelei asked one of the bar staffs, removing her coats. She absentmindedly handed it to Roman who smiled admiring her seriousness to her job.
“It’s the Luna of dead pull pack, Luna Ariel.” The staff informed.
“Have you attended to her?.” She asked
“Yes we did, we got her everything she wanted.” Replied the staff.
“I don’t trust you people, she’s an mportant person, I would have to attend to her myself to see if she needs anything. Roman come with me.” She said and Roman followed her in suit.
The vip section of the bar was filled up with just few dignitaries but lots of exotic wines. The main section of the bar was there the noisy commotion was coming from, it looked like the guards and omegas where located there.
“Good morning, my lady. Is they anything I could help you with, I am the manager of the bar.” She introduced herself to the Luna, this was the first time she was visiting their bar. To Lorelei, this seemed like a big win for the bar, housing such guests was never easy to come by.
“Permit to compliment your beauty but you look so beautiful. Your eyes are quite alluring.” The Luna complimented and Lorelei blushed. “Thank you, Luna. Compliments aren’t easy to come by from a lady this days.” Lorelei said with a short laugh.
“I agree with you on that, many are filled with jealousy especially for the people who looks more beautiful than them.” Luna Ariel said.
“They forget the fact that we were all created differently, mediocre thoughts has taken over their brain.”
“You speak my mind and you speak so well. I like your intelligence, it just suits mine. If you are free, can you please join me on the table please, your company would be appreciated.” The Luna offered with a smile showing her cute set of dentition.
“I don’t think it wouldn’t be proper to share the table with the Luna of the pack besides I’m just a commoner.” Lorelei said and let out a short laugh, politely declining the Luna’s request. She was extremely grateful to the pack for letting her stay when she was at her worst and homeless. It was the pack that gave her solitude, so she didn’t want to appear rude at all to the Luna.
“Nonsense, I bet you are not a commoner, from the look of things you look like you’ve been a Luna or a noble lady before..” said Luna Ariel.
“How did you know that?” Lorelei asked surprised on how the Luna was able to deduce this so quickly. They just spoke for barely two minutes and she was guessing this right.
“Well you just have that confident aura oozing from you, the kind that only a Luna or someone close could possess and it seemed I am right”
“You are surprisingly right.”
" You can tell me anything you know, we are basically friends. So just sit down let’s chat a bit. It’s not everyday I come across like minded people." The Luna said and Lorelei obliged and sat down, for some unknown reasons she felt that she could really say anything to the Luna. Like the Luna was someone trustworthy and she could see the honesty in her eyes. Soon they both chatted like old time friends who were just reuniting after a long while. Funny how they both heated up and became friends so quickly.
“Just curious to know who the male standing over there watching you from afar is?” Luna Ariel said referring to Roman, Lorelei had totally forgotten that she asked him to come with her.
“He’s my…. My mate. His name is Roman” Lorelei introduced, temporarily acknowledging Roman as her mate, at first she didn’t want to say Roman was her mate but she thought otherwise and just did as her heart instructed.
“I see the way your eyes lit up just now, you must be so in love with him.” Luna Ariel stated and Lorelei rubbed her hands shyly, her face turning hot.
“I.. I ..” she stuttered trying to form words from her mouth.
“You don’t have to say anything to me besides I know almost everything.”
Roman smiled sheepishly from where he stood, Lorelei acknowledged him as her mate to someone else. He couldn’t be more happier. The smile on his face paused and he instantly became angry. Lorelei was telling the story of what happened in star moon pack and what she had been through. He could trace the hurt in her eyes, and it angered him to the core.
He hated both Damien and Irene for what they did to his mate - his Lorelei. He would surely avenge her and not to forget himself too for the terrible things they did to him. Sparing them and letting them win was a felony and he didn’t want to commit this felony at all. He would pay them back in their own coins in the future, for now he was going to focus on Lorelei and his new little son Xander. This two people where the only ones that mattered to him at the moment. . . .
Lorelei had noticed that the Luna had been friend starved, if that was a phrase. Due to the fact that she was the Luna, she was meant to roll with people her class and not otherwise. When she was Luna of star moon pack it was also the Sam, she had to mingle with people she didn’t want to all in the pressure of hanging out with people her class and type. The relationship all seemed force and filled with jealousy but no one reacted to it, the life of a Luna was never enjoyable though it might seem rosy from the outside but on the inside it’s all boring and of no fun. Maybe that was why she and the Luna related so quickly, they both had relatable stories.
“Do you mind telling me where you met Roman, he seems like a… You know different.” Ariel questioned, she had noticed something different about him, at first she had brushed it up but it just kept getting stronger.
He had Alpha’s blood running through him and she had seen it herself. They was no mistake in what she saw, she was certain that he was an Alpha or Alpha’s son.
“Well we met in the bar here, he’s an employee too.” Lorelei said simply not wanting to go into details.
“Hmm, that’s nice.” Ariel said and stared at him, Roman didn’t look like he was just an ordinary employee. He didn’t look so simple and it made her tiny head curious to find out what he was. His seriousness and everything looked like a mystery she needed to solve so bad.
Who was he and why did he have an Alpha blood in him?
