CHAPTER 97: DARK SPINCER (2, 2)

"What is he?!" Cetus gulped.

"He is half-human and half monster." Kairi narrowed his eyes.

He had barged into Dark Spincer and Dark Howlan's memories when they were chatting. So he knew what had happened to both of their pasts. He spent one hour not just to allow Rafiz and Eridanus to get their little revenge but also to let him watch their memories.

"Seriously?!" Eridanus stares at Dark Spincer with disgust.

"Dark Spincer is born with two types of blood. The blood of previous Dark Spincer users and also the monster blood that Revioryx has put in him. Dark Spincer… Is a weapon for Revioryx to incite chaos. Unfortunately, Revioryx doesn't need him anymore and that makes it easier for us." Kairi explained.

"To live, Dark Spincer needs blood. Not ordinary blood but a type of blood with strong powers. Revioryx has fed him with his blood and it has kept Dark Spincer alive to this day. In return, Dark Spincer will obey all of his commands. Moreover, all of his freedoms since birth have been controlled so that he can become a weapon for Revioryx. Same with the rest of Dark Spincer before him. And now without Revioryx feeding him, Dark Spincer is going to die soon," Kairi continued.

"God, this is too awful. I haven't gotten deeper into his memories and only seen what I need. I never thought he would live like this." Dark Hartina suddenly feels guilty.

Even Dark Howlan who heard it was stunned. He too has the same thought as Dark Hartina now.

"You can't find those memories even if you want to. The monster blood in him is another existence with its own memories. It is hidden somewhere with a more unique barrier to it." Kairi told Dark Hartina.

"Huh? Then, did you enter it? Are you alright?!"

"I'm fine. Such a barrier of darkness will still bow toward the stellars brilliant light."

Dark Hartina feels like Kairi's ability was too awesome but also a little harsh. He hopes it doesn't injure Dark Spincer.

"By the way, this is going to be easy. He will be listening to me now." Kairi moved toward Dark Spincer.

"Huh? Wait, don't tell me that he's going to… Kairi!" Dark Hartina was horrified after guessing what Kairi wanted to do.

"Sir Kironinx, please stop him!" He turned his head to Kironinx who was drinking his tea with satisfaction on his face.

He put the cup down. He had made it float to his mouth using his power just now. Then, he turned in Kairi's direction.

"Don't worry. His blood can save Dark Spincer. His blood is effective for him. Oh, not just him, all of your blood can also save him," Kironinx replied.

"If you said so, then, why isn't he sucking Dark Howlan's blood?" Cetus pointed at Dark Howlan.

Aren't they together all this time?

Dark Howlan gulped. He just realised that all this time Dark Spincer had a chance to suck his blood. He also doesn't understand why Dark Spincer didn't do it or even tell him. But, if the latter told him, would he even agree to give his blood?

He was confused about his feelings. But the most important thing was, would he die if Dark Spincer drank his blood?

He turned pale at his thought.

"Who knows. Maybe he didn't know that Dark Howlan's blood was effective to help him too," Kironinx shrugged.

Then, they all stare at Dark Spincer and Kairi.

"Dark Spincer, allow me to be your next opponent," Kairi told him while a sword appeared in both of his hands.

"Heh! I don't care who my opponent is. When I think back, this is the first time we've fought," Dark Spincer lowered his body in a fighting stance.

"True. And I want to finish this match as soon as possible. Show me what you got, Dark Spincer," Kairi asked before heading towards Dark Spincer with a leap.

His sword slashes at him. Dark Spincer smiled and waved his weapon. Their weapons clash with each other. Their movement started to get faster and faster until it was difficult to see each other's impacts.

Rafiz and others were impressed by the battle.

“It seems Dark Spincer's strength has increased after he changed just now,” Rafiz commented.

“You’re right. Shit! My power still can’t beat him.” Eridanus cursed.

“Don’t worry. We’re still young. We’ll get stronger after this.” Dark Hartina comforted him.

“Tsk! I am already thirty-two years old. I’m not getting any younger.” Eridanus harrumphed.

Rafiz and Dark Hartina turn to him with shock.

“What? I’m not old!” Eridanus glared at them.

“Ehem! We didn’t say anything.” Dark Hartina looked away quickly.

He and Rafiz still felt disbelief that Eridanus was older than them. If that was so, then Libra and Cygnus too might be the same age.

But, how can they look so young?!

“I thought he was twenty-three or something.” Dark Hartina whispered to Rafiz.

“Me too. He was six years older than us and still looked younger than me. Do I need to eat vegetables or something to care for my look?” He asked while brushing his face.

“You haven’t eaten them since I brought you back to Dorothia.” Dark Hartina narrowed his eyes at him.

“Urgh… I hate vegetables.”

A spark of light gets their attention on Kairi and Dark Spincer’s battle again. Dark Spincer has summoned his shadow to sneak attack on Kairi. However, it fails because Kairi throws a light ball at it and destroys it instantly.

"Dark Spincer, I'll make you more thirsty," Kairi said slowly.

Dark Spincer frowned at his words. In a blink of his eyes, Kairi had disappeared in front of him. A second later, his body was wounded in many places. He was surprised and was forced to kneel on the roof before spat out some blood from his mouth.

"How’d you...?" He was confused.

How did Kairi attack him without him knowing?

"Ah, did you forget who I am? And what power could I use?" Kairi smiled at him.

Dark Spincer was thinking for a moment before he expressed his unwillingness to accept the situation.

"You stop the time... It's not fair!"

"Ah, did I say I want a fair match, Dark Spincer? Moreover, you didn’t state that I can't use other powers. I might not use it if you say so before we start." Kairi smirked at him before approaching him and placing his sword on his neck.

He dodged a sudden attack from Dark Spincer's shadow and destroyed it with his sword. At the same time, he grabs Dark Spincer’s power emblem from his neck and makes Dark Spincer’s weapons all disappear from sight. The latter could only grit his teeth while watching Kairi show his power emblem in his right hand.

"It's not fair..." Dark Spincer grumbled before laying down on the roof of the house.

"Do what you want. I've lost." He waited for Kairi to kill him.

Kairi chuckled lightly. "But, your mind says otherwise. You seem to have another plan to kill me and get your emblem back."

Dark Spincer laughed before staring at Kairi. "Well, you can kill me now before I kill you."

"Well, I'm sorry, I can't fulfil that request. You are very important to us. And, we can't win against Revioryx without you." Kairi replied.

Dark Spincer burst out laughing. “You want me to help you defeat Dark Revier? Impossible! You know how strong he is and you think you can win? Dream on!"

"Why not? Though we have a thin hope, as long as we don't give up, we still have a chance to defeat him. You are needed in our team." Kairi told him seriously.

Dark Spincer could see he wasn’t playing around and went silent. He closed his eyes because he didn't want to see the latter anymore. The fight with this leader of Bright Star makes him very tired and hungry again. Moreover, the loss of blood from his injuries did not help quench his thirst.

He was startled when he felt a drop of something fall on his lips. Guessing it was rain, he opened his mouth slightly and licked the droplet. His eyes opened wide when he tasted the droplet. It was not raining water, but blood! Not ordinary blood but blood with power!

He moved his eyes above him and saw a bleeding wrist above his lips. His eyes were fixed on the blood flowing from the cut on the wrist. He swallowed his saliva and his mouth was slightly open, exposing his fangs.

He gasped because he was restraining his body from holding the wrist and biting into it. Before anything could happen, he pushed the wrist away and stared at Kairi who was kneeling next to him.

The wrist belongs to Kairi's right hand. Rafiz and others already stood nearby.

“Why didn’t they stop him? They’re not afraid that I might hurt him?” Dark Spincer was confused.

"What are you trying to do?" He finally asked Kairi.

"Dark Spincer, listen, I know you still think of yourself as your king’s weapon but you don't need to follow him anymore. He betrayed you and everyone in Dorothia. He also harmed you all. And as for your wish to be killed, I cannot fulfil it. The reason is that you're a Taurus Star user. Your ancestor was one of the missing twelve stellar users that disappeared five hundred years ago." Kairi looked at him sternly.

Dark Spincer blinked his eyes in disbelief. So, Kairi continues telling him about the past. Dark Howlan, who was brought closer to their group by Cetus, widened his eyes too.

"Dark Spincer, you are Taurus and Dark Howlan, you are Columba, a Bright Star user too," Kairi told them.

Dark Howlan's mouth opens slightly. His silent mouth told them that they were lying and wanted proof of it. Dark Spincer too still couldn’t accept it. He looked elsewhere with confusion and slight dizziness. His lack of blood made it difficult for him to think rationally about the past.

"Well, if you still don’t believe me, I’ll let you guys meet your own Stellar spirit beast. You need to save them first before you can ask them anything," Kairi didn’t give time for them to think through.

The emblem in his hand and on Dark Howlan’s chest suddenly glows brightly. Both bodies slumped to the side and fell unconscious a moment later. Kairi then used his power to heal all of them including Rafiz and Eridanus.

“Alright, let’s bring them home.” Kairi turned his head to his group members.

They all nodded at him. Rafiz went to pick up Dark Spincer with Dark Hartina's help. And Dark Howlan was lifted up by Cetus onto his back with Eridanus' help. After they were ready, Kairi used his power to teleport them back to Antonia where they could send Dark Spincer and Dark Howlan to Dark Undria and other Deorc Star users’ care. Hopefully, both accept who they really were after they save their spirit beasts.
