I got to the coffee shop quite soon, looked around for Janet even when I do not even recognize her. Then a young girl.. Eve's agemate waved at me. She was putting on black hoodie and also hiding half of her face.




    I walked towards the girl..




    "Janet?"




    "Liam?" We spoke at the same time.. I huffed and sat in front of her.




  




 "Yeah I'm Janet" She said and she looked really nervous.




   




"Could have been nice meeting you but what we are here to discuss about.. won't make a good encounter"




    




    "How is Eve? I know she works in your office" She asked me.




    "Eve is doing fine" I responded.




  "At least, it's nice to hear that" She mumbled..




    




 "Okay Janet, don't call yourself a bad best friend, I can see you really care about her" I said and she faked a smile.




    




   A waiter came and served us two coffee..




    "It's mistake, I.. we did..order..."




    "I did, just before you came in" She said.




    "Oh Okay.."




    The waiter excused us.




    




 "So...your father..is he a pedophile or something?"




   "I.. I don't get. But what I know is that he married Eve because he wanted s*x from her even when he has alot of whores out there" I said.




    Oops! I'm not meant to bad mouth the man though.

   "I want to make it up to her, I want her to break up with your father.. I feel like it was all my fault. My mom hated her for no specific reason, she told me to stay away from her but I wouldn't listen because Eve was like a sister to me despite her background what she faced.. Then my mother literally sold her off to your father."




    




  "She's doing fine here. Well meeting you and you telling me all this looked like it all happened coincidentally"

  "Eve is also planning a devoice. And I'm also gonna help her."

    "Eve is also planning a devoice. And I'm gonna help her."

    "I'ld love to help also" Janet said.

    "But It won't be easy because of the threat. Once your father signs a devoice letter. Which means he is breaking up the arranged marriage with Eve; then his aweful video would go viral at once" Janet said and I bit my finger, thinking of what to do. 

    

 "If you mom wants to really ruin my Dad, then why does she want you and I to be together?" I asked.

    

  " don't get what my mother is up"

    

 "Gosh! I really thought my bad was the bad and cruel one. I never knew he was threatened. He brought this upon himself"

    

    "So what do you suggest?" She asked me.

    

  "I... I..." I couldn't even think of a solution at that moment.

    

 "Okay for sure, the relationship must break. Indirectly, we need to kill two birds with a stone" She said..then suddenly grabbed my hand and said; "You need to save you family and you need to save your relationship Liam" She said and I was shocked.

    

  "How..how do you know?" I asked her.

    

"I..Uhm, I have been off college recently to check on Eve" She said.

    

"Have you been spying at us??" I exclaimed.

    

 "Not really. I know you love her Liam and it's pretty much obvious right now. And I would love to help if this is the only way I can make it up to her" She said.

    

 "Uhm, First Janet, I think you need to meet your friend. Eve really needs to know all this. She would be more disheartened when she finds out that I also know about it" I told her.

    

    "I'm afraid Liam, she won't forgive me"

    

  "She definitely hear you out first" I said but she kept mute, nervously pinching her fingers. She rushed the coffee too.

    "Are you ready to meet your friend?" I asked her.

    

 "Will...will you give me some time?" She asked. I sighed and said okay.

    But at the same time, I would not love to do somethings that has to do with Eve; behind her.

    Even when It was time for the short break. Liam is yet to return. George and Maria literally spent the time with me ~ teasing me to speak up on our Liam and I started dating... yeah, I sold to then a catchy lie though. They stayed in my office till it was recess. Daisy on the other hand, stole the opportunity to go see someone. She pleaded with me that I cook up a lie just incase Liam return to the office before her.

    

   And Why do I feel that something is wrong somewhere,

He was in a hurry just when we had plans today.

    

    While I , George and Maria were having our lunch at the office cafeteria; it was just then that Daisy returned.

    "You are so lucky, Mr Liam is not back yet" George said to her.

    She smiled and pulled out a seat.

  "I know right, I saw him" Daisy said.

    "You saw Liam? What? Where is he ? Back at the office?"

    

"Geez Eve, I do not mean to destroy your new relationship but I saw Mr Liam was having a coffee date with another lady!" Daisy announced.

  "What??" I exclaimed.

    Not because I was jealous or something but he only told me that he went to see a friend..

 "Maybe he is not the one or he probably look like Liam" I said, faking a smile.

    

  "I'm so sure. I would have called him or waved at him but I didn't want him to know that I sneaked out also" She said.

    

  "Take it easy Eve. It's a rare case to find a guy with just one girlfriend" George said, placing his hand on my shoulder but I brushed it away.

    "Not every guy is like you George" Maria fired at him.

  "And Daisy, maybe you misunderstood... We clearly know that Mr. Liam is a unique kind of guy... Maybe the lady you saw him with was just a cheerleader; Mr. Liam is freaky wealthy and handsome... mmm" Maria said.

    

    "But they were having Coffee and they were holding hands" Daisy continue..

    "Didn't you just say you don't wanna destroy her relationship" Maria fired.

    "Oops..sorry Eve" Daisy said.

    

  "You guys don't need to quarrel, it's fine" I told them; Of course I'm not jealous right? Somehow, I still trust Liam even with what Daisy just said. I'm just so surprised and shocked.

    

  "I'll be at the office guys" I told them then I stood up.

   "We just got our meal, you haven't even eaten" George said.

  "I... I have lost my appetite" I said, then left.
