I returned to the office, which was quite and scanty because almost everyone has gone outside for break.

  I sat down in my unit, stared into the space.. almost lost in thought.

    Why do I feel uneasy even when I claim that I trust Liam and he won't cheat on me?

   But he lied to me that he was going to see a friend whereas he went to see a girl. A girlfriend. His second girlfriend.

    I swallowed my saliva.. And the more I tried not to think of any crazy thing, the more those thoughts kept coming and I left like I was betrayed. I really don't wanna say 'Heartbroken' yet.




    This simply shows that I was the one who loved him more but he made me think he does. Maybe because I confessed to him about my feelings first.

  I knew it, there's no way he'ld want to move on with me inspite of how we are related.

    I sighed.. and my eyes eventually became clouded with tears. I gave him my virginity! Jeez why did I ever fall in love with him?

    Both father and son decision was to ruin me! I'm ruined! Arrrrgh!

   

    I smelt his perfume and heard his footsteps; I knew he was back even before he showed up.

    "Hey Love" Liam said to me when he got here.

   

    At first I didn't want to reply him but I did sheepishly; "Hey" without love and it's high time stop calling me love since he doesn't mean it. I looked away but he came closer.

   

  "It's lunch break or where you waiting for me?" He asked.

    "No" I blurted at him and he was puzzled.

    

 "Oh..k. Why are you mad?" He asked but I didn't say anything.

   "Oh! I'm sorry I failed to keep my promise. I was supposed to return early" He spoke but I gave him a stern look, still not saying anything.

  "Eve, there is something we need to talk about" He said.

    

    "Nevermind about that and Stop deceiving me Liam" I said.

  "Deceiving? What are you talking about?" He said, looking at me but I rolled my eyes.

    Then I stood up, hit my table and confronted him; "Just say you don't want your father and I to devoice rather than settling than another lady.. afterall, our relationship has just barely started" I voiced out.

    

    "I...I..I so much want you to be free, I don't understand, so what are you talking about Eve?"

    

    I scoffed; "I don't trust you anymore Liam! Daisy..err someone saw you with another girl having a date at a coffee shop!" I continued to raise my voice...i don't know why he started smiling instead of feeling any remose.

   "I think I understand now, it's normal for girls to be jealous. I would do the same regardless of how much I trust you" He said but I hissed and folded my hand.

 "Anyways, I'm still finding a way to help you out and the person I went to meet at the coffee shop was J - "

    

    "It was me" Janet came in.

    

    "Janet" I exclaimed.. surprised.

   Eve's POV




        "Janet" I ran to give her a hug.




    "How did you... I .. I am so surprised" I turned to Liam.




    "Did you help me find her?" I asked him but he gestured.. and I don't understand what he meant. 




    "Janet" I said, holding her hands... She smiled a bit, I noticed her eyes were red and she looked really sad even when she tried to hide it.




    "Eve" She said, staring into my eyes too.




    "What's going on here? You...said you met Liam at a coffee shop?" I asked again.




    "I didn't know you were coming behind me, I thought you weren't ready to meet Eve yet" Liam said to Janet.




    "I changed my mind. I thought it's better I do this once and for all" She responded.




    "You came in~ just in time" Liam said 










    "What's going on?" I asked again, looking at the both of them.




    "You are so beautiful Eve" Janet said to me, touching my cheeks.




    "You don't look happy Janet, I even observed the times we spoke to eachother over the phone" I told her. "Is there something wrong and you are not telling me? You didn't even tell me you would be around here? How do you even know Liam? Your mom helped?" I had a lot of questions to ask at that moment.




    "I would excuse the two of you" Liam said.




    "Please don't. I ... I'm not sure I can do it alone. I don't know how Eve would feel about it" Janet said.










    "What is it?" I asked, looking at the both of them.




    "Come Eve" Liam held my hand and took me to his office, he beckoned Janet to come also..

Liam's POV..










    We told her everything in my office... At least, there won't be eavesdropper or spy.




    "I'm sorry" I can't count how many times Janet apologized but Eve won't stop whimpering.




    I sat beside her and helped her wipe her face with an hankerchief but she collected it from me and wiped her face herself then sniffed.




  "I.. I think I'm fine" She said.




    




    "I would leave the both of you now.." I said went outside.. I know she's only shocked due to the news; coming from her best friend at that. I wish everything would get settled soon, go back to the normal way it's supposed to be.




    




    Eve's POV










    "I'm no good friend" Janet said.




    "I couldn't even summon up the conscience to speak with you over the phone" Janet pleaded.




    "I'm sorry" She said.










    I nodded slowly this time, wiped all my tears and sniffed till I made sure that no more tears would gather in my eyes.




 


    "I still can't believe it's true; I was set up" My suspicion also wondered who must have told Mr Maya about me. Even when he claimed that he only passed by and wanted to help the needy in his own way.




 " You didn't do anything wrong Janet. It's not your fault at all" I told her, cleaned my eyes , stood up and move toward where she stood, still feeling guilty and sad.




    "Although, the first days I spent here was rough and tough. Even sometimes now but Look at me, I'm still surviving.. I'm Okay Janet. There's nothing to feel bad about" I told her.




    "Are you sure?" She asked me..

    I also told her about how I usually give Mr Maya drugs to defend myself from being used.  




    Both of them were guilt, Mrs Pitt who forced Mr Maya to marry me and Mr Maya, the maniac pedophile.



    Liam returned after some time..




    "I have spoken with my Lawyer" He said to us.




    "What did he say?" Janet and I asked at the same time.




    "I didn't explain everything about how you got married to my father in details, so he only demanded for the marriage contract you signed"




    "It's at home" I answered.




    "Tomorrow won't be too late to get the divorce form" Janet said.




    "Yeah, I would take Eve home today, you'll give me those papers,so I could scan it and send to him as soon as possible" Liam suggested and I agreed..




    "Mr Maya would never see it coming" I said..: "He would back today, perfect time to face him squarely"




    "He travelled right?" Janet asked.




    "Yeah" Liam replied.




    "I don't know what his reasons are but I know my mom has been seeing him" She said.




    "Let's try out the divorce papers first before we'ld suggest what next to do" Liam said. I nodded in affirmati


        I noticed, Eve looking at us like she already knows that there is something between us. I guess it's written all over us.




    "I ... I need to take my leave . Whenever you need my help or anything at all. Call me" Janet said and walked out of the office.
