Lost a bit

I stood up to welcome the person who had just walked into my office. This person was far more different from what I thought he would be because of his name. This man was very young.
He looked like he was in his late 30s. I must admit this man had the most beautiful smile; he was gorgeous. He looked like he was a Greek god. He had bright blue eyes that were piercing into mine. He had brown, curly hair and he was very tall. I practically had to lift my head up to meet his face.
Thank God we were going to be sitting down for this meeting. Else, I'd have to go back home with a sore neck or no neck at all. I stretched out my hand for a shake and he took it, still smiling. He did something that totally shocked me. He kissed the back of my hand and I let out a gasp mistakenly.
"Good morning Miss Jasmine. I've heard so much about the great events your hotels hall has hosted. I hope I'll also have a good thing to say concerning your hall" he said releasing my hand.I smile at him and said,
"I hope so too. Please Mr Maxwell, take your seat as let's get straight to business".
He took a seat and soon we began talking. He told me what he wanted and I began to pitch several ideas to him but throughout the explanation, he kept looking at me like I was his next meal. It was making me feel very uncomfortable.
I tried to ignore his inappropriate staring but it was really getting on my nerves so I said, "Are you listening to me sir?"
"Yes I am what make you think I'm listening to you?" He replied.
"Because you've been staring at me like you're lost or something" I pointed out.
"Well, I'm kind of lost a little bit and I'm sorry about that. I just can't sit in front of a gorgeous woman and pretend not to notice her beauty. You're indeed as beautiful as they say you are", he said, licking his lower lip.
I smiled and I could swear I blushed a little bit. "Thank you Mr Maxwell but I'm sure my husband would mind that you're complimenting his wife", I mentioned.
I knew Sebastian wouldn't even care but I really wanted this man to stop hitting on me. It was pissing me off, not his looks though.
"Oh, I'm so sorry about that. Didn't mean to say that about you if I knew you were married", he replied, looking very apologetic."No problem. Let's just get back to business" I replied.
I've never seen him that serious since he walked into my office. I guess he decided to put on his serious face when I told him I'm married and he knew he didn't have a chance with me.
We had this meeting for an hour and half and we were done. We shook hands and he left after collecting my number and assuring me he would call me based on business issues alone.
I was starving so I just went to the restaurant and ordered their breakfast menu which consisted of some toast bread, scrambled eggs and a steamy cup of coffee.
I settled down to eat my food gently and not in rush so I could savour the deliciousness of the food. I moaned while eating and I caught a few eyes on me. I was embarrassed they had to hear me make those noises.
The waitress, Sabrina, who saw me smiled at me and I smiled at her. I finished my food, paid my bill and walked back to my office. I think I would start having my breakfast at work from now on. The food was so good; I must compliment Beth cause I know whoever made this meal followed her recipes.
Work went on smoothly for the rest of the day. I didn't forget that I needed to go to the boutique to get a dress for Sebastian's company's charity event. I drove to Diva's Collection after work and searched for a dinner gown.
I needed something that would look pretty good and perfect for an event like that. I skimmed through the whole clothing section.I walked to the lady I saw behind the counter.
"Hello, excuse. You must be new", I said, because I've never seen her anywhere around here."Yes ma'am. I just started work few days ago" the pretty brunette girl replied.
"I'm Jasmine", I said, extending out my hand for a handshake. "Nice to meet you ma'am. I'm Veronica. How may I be of help to you today?" She asked courteously.
"I'm looking for a nice dinner gown to wear for a charity event and I could not find anything I like in the clothing section. I don't know how you can help me", I replied.
"Oh, let me speak to my boss" she said and excused herself.
She went to the back of the boutique, perhaps to her boss's office. I waited by the counter for her to return, hoping she would return with good news for me. After waiting for a while, she came out with a beautiful woman behind her. A lady whose face Id gotten accustomed to. I smiled as the woman advanced towards me. She sees me to be one of her best hotel guests.
"Hello Jasmine", she greeted as we embraced and pecked each other's cheeks. Nice "Hi Penelope", I replied with a smile."I heard you couldn't find anything to your taste", she said.
"Yes, I'm attending a charity event with my husband and I need something nice but I searched the whole clothing section but couldn't find something I like", I said to her.
"Well, we should have some amazing gowns in the store. They just came in from Dubai. I'll get them for you to pick your choice", said Penelope.
"Oh, I'd appreciate that", I replied.
She told Veronica to go to the storeroom and get the new clothes they had just purchased. Veronica swiftly made her way to the storeroom to fetch those outfits her boss requested her to bring She came back holding a handful of clothes in her hands.
She hung them on the clothing racks and Penelope gave me a look that said 'go for it'. I went to the rack she placed the new clothes on and saw a black gown with diamonds tinsels in the front. You must have guessed right now.
I love diamonds so much. I selected the gown off the rack and looked clearly at it. It looked like a latest version."I'd like to try this one", I told Penelope.bShe smiled and nodded."You know the way to the changing room", she said.
