Preparation for charity event

checked myself properly before exiting the restroom. I joined my family at our designated table as the event had begun already. I avoided looking at Jasmine even we were on the same table.
The charity event went well and all the money made went straight to children's home in need of monetary help. I was glad to be a part of something noble because I knew I was helping to save a lot of little orphans.
Immediately after the event, I didn't go home. I left my parents and others at the party. I needed to get drunk. I didn't understand what was going on with me and I just wanted to forget what happened during the event. I drove to a clubhouse, not Josh's. I didn't want to bother my friends with a minute issue I could easily solve myself with a drink.
I got into the clubhouse and ordered myself the strongest drink they had. I settled down in a private lounge that I paid for and just stayed there, boozing all through the night. I knew I wouldn't be able to drive home by myself that was for sure. I needed someone to drive for me and also I needed a pretty lady to sleep with and forget all about Jasmine.
She wasn't worth all these boozing, I thought. I noticed an attractive blonde lady gazing at me all through the night and I summoned her and she walked grandly to where I sat, swaying her slender hips as she walked. She was the perfect distraction I needed.
"Hey handsome, you called me", she said to my ears seductively but I wasn't interested with all those act. All I wanted was someone to lie with and she looked like the perfect one.
"Less talk, more work" I said and she purred. Like a cat. It sounded irritating to my ears but I overlooked it.
"We're going to my house. You're driving cos I'm dead drunk" I said, handing her my keys.
"Sure", she said, collecting the keys from my hands.
She helped me stand because I couldn't do so on my own. She led me outside and I gave her the description of my convertible car and the direction to where I had parked it. Soon we reached my car after much struggle. It was mostly my fault.
We managed to get into the car I have her directions to my house and she entered the information I gave her into the GPS and soon the ride began. In about 30 minutes, she drove through the gate that led to my house and I told her where to park and she did as she was told. It was another tug of war as she led me out of the car and into my house.
We saw Jasmine in the living room. She was so engrossed in the show she was watching that she didn't notice that someone had just walked into the house.
"Who's she?" the blonde lady beside me asked.
"That's my wife", I replied.
I saw no point in lying.
"You're married and you brought me to your house to sleep with you? Wouldn't your wife mind you using your matrimonial room with another lady?" the stupid blonde said.
"We don't share bedroom. In fact, we don't love each other. Our marriage is a loveless one and would remain that way," I said, saying it more to myself than the blonde.
"Let's just go up to my room", I said, pointing to the stairs.
She shrugged but followed me nonetheless. I was staggering but I held the rails for support. I almost fell from the stairs but blonde held me from behind and I was beginning to feel useless so I told her to leave me that I could walk without her help. When we got to the top of the stairs, I pulled her hand and dragged her into my room.
Jasmine's POV
I noticed Sebastian left immediately after the event came to an end. There were some people still hanging around for a drink and discussions I know nothing of. I was still with his parents and they were just talking with other business associates while I tagged along.
I had a glass of wine and sipped on it when I was getting bored.
Javier, Sebastian's father, excused himself to go have a meeting with a business partner, leaving Naomi, mother, as she prefers being called, with me as we began discussing about what women love to discuss: fashion. She told me she tried out Diva's collection and almost bought everything in the boutique.
"I even got you some dresses. I'll have them brought to the house tomorrow or I could come there myself to drop them so we could go out and get breakfast together and have like a mother and daughter time", she said and I smiled.
"Thanks mother", I replied, beaming.
"Well, I should let you be on your way home. I'm sure you're tired as much as I am. See you tomorrow", she said and pulled me in for a warm embrace.
I hugged her back and walked out of the hall. I entered into my car and drove back to the mansion. Mother was right I was so tired and hungry. I couldn't eat the cocktail snacks served at the event.
Now, my stomach craved for good food. Hopefully Selena prepared something just in case. Soon, my car stopped in front of the gate and after a while, it opened up and I drove straight into the garage.
I exited my car and made my way into the mansion. I walked to the kitchen first and saw Selena was still there. Oh thank goodness! "Oh, you're back there. How was the charity event?" She said.
"Oh it was fantastic.
A lot of money was made for the cause of those poor orphans. I feel sorry for them, you know. Even though my parents are alive, I still felt and lived like an orphan so I know what those kids are passing through", I replied, looking unhappy.
"Oh dear, I'm sure you are starving. I made something for you and Sebastian. Why don't you go freshen up and then come have dinner? I prepared something that's not too heavy for your stomach so it would digest properly before you go to bed", Selena said, automatically changing the topic. She probably noticed that my demeanour had changed and so she quickly interrupted so I wouldn't fall into a state of despair.
I smiled at her and thanked her. I raced off to my room, took off my dress, my makeup and jeweleries. I put on my shower sandal and got into the shower.
I washed my body thoroughly and felt clean again. I changed into my nightgown and walked down the stairs to the dining table. Selena had already set the table for me and I smiled at her thoughtful action. I was so hungry that immediately I sat down, I began to rush my meal.
At an instance or two, I almost choked on my food. Selena was factually a very good cook. I almost requested for more, like Oliver Twist.Soon I was done with my meal and I showed my gratitude to Selena by helping to clean the kitchen.
Once we were done, I decided to watch one of my favourite TV shows. It was the kind that made unseen audience laugh, feel sad or 'awwn'.
