My wolf wanted to break free and tear our Beta apart. How could he! He said it was a rogue attack, he also said they were barely dating! I wrap my arms around her to soothe her. She dried her tears “you know you remind me of my mate and husband, I miss him so much”
“Where is he, I could help you find him”
“You’re sweet, he is in the Elysian fields, he died a long time ago after the earthquake which destroyed my city. I come from a faraway place, so does Velaria, she just would not remember. She was a baby at that time.”
I will admit that Velaria did have an off scent, so does Tiffany, I don’t recognize it. Not sure, what type of shifter she is
“Tiffany, please tell me what you meant about her being spoken for?” I was not sure I wanted to know, I had just found my mate, and she is already spoken for but, her behavior says different? “We were born in a land called “Pegra” We are of Greek descent; our kingdom was created by the gods as a blessing to gods and humans alike. We were a lovely, peaceful, and thriving community” I sat there listening to her, I felt like I needed to know more. “What happened?”
she smiled slightly “Her mother happened, she cursed us all, you see Velaria or “Thalia” her real name, was born special, she was from an ancient prophecy, and was destined to be the bride of Hades. The prophecy says that she would tame the uncontrolled beast he is, she would have been his Pegasus and queen to rule by his side.” I fell silent at her words, they were just too difficult to accept, why would the moon goddess give me a mate that was already destined by birth to marry a god? “When her mother realized the prophecy was true and that it was her newborn child, she ordered my mother to take the child and hide her. She sent my mother far away. The queen not caring about her own safety, the safety of her husband the king or her other children, sent Velaria away. My mother grabbed me and pulled me through the portal, we made in just enough time but, not before seeing our world burn. Hades came, he felt Velaria’s presence leave. It sent him into a rage. She would have been raised there to be the princess she is, she should have been groomed to be a queen. Her mother challenged him and pissed him off. He destroyed the Kingdom; I would not doubt he has been searching for her, my mother grew tired of unsuccessfully caring for her so, we left her in the woods, and alerted the humans here. I did not want to but, my mother thought it was best. She was adopted by a family. My mother lost track of her, and raised me here in this land. It was by a miracle chance we both attended to same college. I recognized her right away, she looks just like her mother but, more beautiful. She has no idea about any of it. I have seen her powers trying to awaken but she keeps blocking them out. She does not understand what she is”
I listened to the story, I had no words, did not know what to think. I have heard of the kingdom; it was destroyed thousands of years ago. Which means, either they time jumped when going through the portal or somehow, she remained a baby for centuries that seemed impossible somehow. I did not know what I was going to do, I only knew what I needed to do. Now that I knew the entire truth, I needed to confront Mark, and I needed to find her. “What is your real name? just curious” she smiled
“My real name is Calysto” wow that is a pretty name. “Well its nice to meet you Calysto, can you help me find her?”
“If you are her mate, which I do not understand why that would be possible, I will help you. Currently, she is flying to France.
I set up her trip Itinerary before, I learned this” I got a bad feeling when she made her statement” “why? What have you done?” my wolf was ready to take control, I have a feeling I know what she did. I just need to hear her say it! “I told her to take a trip to escape, I meant’ escape, what I meant was not just Mark but, the fake life she has, the life she was never meant to have” I growl in frustration “what. Have. You. Done.” She smiles with trembling lips “I am sending her home, where she belongs”
“I thought Pegra was destroyed?” I ask her with a hard look
“It is destroyed but, it can be made new, and I am sending her home to where she belongs, the last stop on her itinerary is Greece, it’s time for her to become who she was born to be. He’ll protect her, keep her safe, and never let go” I snarl, throw her table across the room and storm out of the door.
“Alpha Schaemus, if he finds out what happened to her, I would worry more about your Beta, than finding her, cause he’ll set the world on fire” she said with a dark look.
“I am going to find my Mate! She is Mine! Gods be damned! SHE IS MINE!” I roar at her. She smirks “Good luck with that!” she says as she closes the door.
I walk away from the woman's house trying to think about my next steps, I know she is my mate, and now that I have found her, I am not letting hre go. My only dilemma, how does a werewolf fight against the god of hell?
