Chapter 39

“Fucking bitch!” I cursed under my breathe and slammed my bedroom door close.

She was starting to piss me off now. Why did I have to ruin a perfectly good plan?! She was in love with me and believed I was the one. The spell was working and I was so close to getting what I wanted. If stupid Erik hadn’t fucked up the search for Sensei Gideon, I wouldn’t have had to fake the stupid kidnapping. I thought the whole kidnapping thing would drive her crazy and bring her back to me but I didn’t realise she would turn off her sentiments.

I had been avoiding her just in case she got horny and wanted to fuck. I had a mark, it just wasn’t hers. Finding my mate wasn’t part of my plans but I just couldn’t resist Claire. However, I couldn’t let that change my plans.

This not having emotion was making Alex smarter. I didn’t think she’d be able to piece it together. How the hell did she know that the kidnapping was faked? She said she didn’t have proof but did I want to believe her? The way she was accusing and threatening me, she had more information than she made it out to be.

To make matters worse that asshole Nicholas was here too. Why the fuck was he here?! I had to do something to fix all this. I had to do something fast! I had to know what all Alex had found out. I needed to make her mine again before things got out of hand.

Stupid Roy! I knew he had fucked something up when his spells didn’t work. I had asked him to make sure he could get us out of there in case shit went sideways but no, the idiot couldn’t even do that! They are probably beating the shit out of him. I just pray he hasn’t said anything he shouldn’t.

I couldn’t let Nicholas and Alex get close. I had been keeping them apart for 18 years. They couldn’t come together now.

I knew from the day Alex was born that she was the missing piece to the legend. All I had to do was cast one spell and I would become so powerful that even the Moon Goddess herself wouldn’t be able to stop me.

There were two pieces of the puzzle I still needed. Alex and Sensei Gideon. That stupid Sensei was nowhere to be found but I knew once I had Alex in my hands, Gideon wouldn’t be hard to find.

I was so close and Nicholas being around Alex would ruin the entire plan. 18 years of planning would be ruined and I couldn’t afford that......
