Rage of a mislead she-wolf

Alessia’s POV

I have spent at least two hours dressing myself up, trying to perfect my face so I could snag some time alone with Leon today. Being pretty is just *exhausting*.

I glanced up once more in the mirror of the small half bathroom, checking my lipstick for any smears.

My eyelids shimmered every time I blinked, and my eyelash extensions fluttered gracefully. “*Perfect.*” I mutter, wiping a bit of my pink lipstick from my teeth, and pining at my reflection with a coy smile.

*’There's no way he will resist me this time!’* I think to my wolf, Arya, in a sly tone.

*’Tch, for both of our sakes… **I hope he does.**’* She snaps back with a growl, viciously irritated. Malice seeps from her voice, making my sadness and anger grow.

*’Ry. You’re not still mad about the rejection are you?’* I question my wolf, trying to brush off her attitude with my ‘relaxed’ mood, as I fix some of my loose hair behind my ear. *’He was a lowlife **Omega.** Oh! And even worse- he was from the Red Moon pack!’*

*’That doesn’t matter, he was our mate! Our one!’* She whimpers, and I feel the pain and soreness of my decision growing as she brings the subject up again.

*’No, **Leon** is our one, our **chosen** mate.’* I scoff loudly, leaving the bathroom, from underneath the stairs, grabbing a glass of water and my purse. She growls deeply, growing more impatient and angry with me.

*’How come I had to get such a **dumb** wolf? You can’t even agree with me!’* I grunt in frustration, tossing the glass of water onto the counter and spilling it before walking off.

*’Ha! You’re one to speak. **My human counterpart defies our goddesses' plans.**’* Arya triumphantly laughs, making my ears steam up and my face grow red with anger.

*’And you say I'm the one who’s dumb!’* Loudly, she laughs, retreating to the back of my subconscious. I stomp my feet as I walk to the bottom of the stairs. I fidget the edge of the ruffles on my mid-thigh length, hot pink, mini skirt.

*’I’ll show you!!’* I growl under my breath, furrowing my face together as I stomp one last time. *’Leon will mate us! And we will be happy, and rich!’*

Suddenly I am hit in the face with a damp, stinky piece of clothing, and masked under the *horrid stench* is Leon’s scent. “Hey!” I peek out as I pluck the item from my head, to see Leon’s hot muscular torso, and his quite irritated expression.

*’Now's my chance!’* I think, containing my now excited yet nervous energy.

“Well- at least is smells like my *sexy* mate.” I purr with the hottest voice I can, putting one hand on my hip, while twirling his shirt around with the other. When his eyes meet mine I wait for the sparks, the lightning, *something*.. but nothing happens. His irritated expression seemingly remains the same.

In fact- *it almost worsens.* His face furrows angrily, contorting in annoyance as he sees my face. My heart drops, but I hold my face up, not allowing my feelings to take over my expressions.

“I *am not* your mate, **Alessia.**” He snarls, his disposition obvious in his voice. I choose to ignore it, along with the heavy feeling growing larger in my chest. I'm baffled, and silenced by his words. *Hadn’t Alpha Kai told me that Leon was planning to take me as his mate?*

This reaction from him utterly confuses me.

He scoffs loudly, rolling his eyes and running a hand over his face as if he’s stressed. *What could he possibly be stressed over?*

He turns over his shoulder and begins walking away, but before he gets too far my hand reflexively grabs his arm. Acting based on impulse, I tug him back towards me.

“Wait- Leon! Where are you going?!” I almost squeal too loud, my voice showing my nerves. As our eyes meet once again, I notice the *murderous* glare he's shooting down at me. I cower slightly, not knowing what I had done, pain building in my chest. I felt the burn of vomit in the back of my throat.

“Come on baby… let’s go out on a date tonight!” I attempt to look cute, flashing my dark doe eyes towards him. Though my heart raced and pounded with fear, I placed my shaking hand against his torso, standing on my tip toes and leaning towards him for a kiss. “Maybe we can have a little fun afterwards…”

I look at his lips, licking my own and resting a hand on the back of his neck. Before I can move any closer he jerks me by the wrists, and shoves me painfully to the hard ground below. “Don’t *fucking* touch me.” He roars, in a furiously deep growl. I yelp when my tailbone meets with the carpet I previously stood on, tears brim in my eyes as I look up at him.

His eyes had grown dangerously dark, watching me and growling lowly. Before a single tear falls, or I can even say anything, he bolts for the door. He slings it open, almost tearing it from the wall, and pounds into the woods while shifting into wolf form. Frozen, I helplessly watch him. His figure disappears completely into the distance.

I stand up, still shaking and embarrassed by what just happened. For a moment I'm stuck in my own head, without realizing multiple omegas just witnessed that embarrassing scene.

Outraged, I scream and slam into things in the living room, kicking tables and lamps over. My wolf scoffs at me before receding into my subconscious, making me fume further.

When I turn, I lock eyes with two of the fairly *small* females, growling deeply as I see the laughter on their faces. They both cower, as the color drains from their skin.

“Pick this shit up, NOW!” I roar, slinging the box of paperwork from her hands and to the floor. The papers flutter everywhere, creating a slew of unorganized documents on the floor along with the broken lamps and side tables I kicked over earlier.

The two female omegas scramble to put everything back in its place, like puppies with their tails tucked between their legs. I watch, satisfied that I had scared them enough for them to listen to me.

*’Why can’t he just accept me! It’s obvious we were meant to be together.’* I growl and cross my arms, thinking to myself. The female omegas jump at my sudden sound, moving quicker to clean the mess I created, with their heads down.

*’Maybe because he isn’t our **Destined** Mate, Dipshit.’* My wolf condescends, I could almost see her rolling her eyes at me.

*’We don’t need our destined mate, we need Leon! We can take a chosen mate you know, I don’t understand why you are so tied up in having something we didn’t choose.’* I reply to her, frustrated and irritated that I even have to explain myself *to my own wolf* all over again.

*’I am choosing our mate for us, not some dumb goddess that thinks shes almighty and better than us werewolves. Besides, Alpha Kai said he would make sure we would be together. If the alpha says it, then I’m sure Leon will come around!’* I grow nervous as I reply to my wolf, hearing footsteps down the stairs in a quick heavy manner. Beck looks my direction and then towards the front door, which is now dangling by its hinges. He proceeds to follow Leon’s scent into the forest, shifting just as he entered the trees.

*’I won’t even argue with you, you’re just plain stupid. It’s **embarrassing.**’* My wolf laughs, psychotically, before growing quiet again. Embarrassed and, *angry* yet again I stomp. My rage almost spills from my mouth in shards, as I shreech at the omegas again. “You are BOTH, *TOO FUCKING SLOW.* Hurry the fuck up before I WHIP YOU FIFTY TIMES EACH!!”

Both girls jump in unison, one shoving the other and speeding up to the point she breaks a sweat and cuts her hand on glass from the lamps. She seems like she’s going to pause, but before she even looks up at me I smack her in the head. “Keep cleaning *Bitch*.” I grit through my teeth, clenching my fists in the process.

Suddenly, Beck walks back through the front door… without Leon.

“What happened? Is Leon okay?” I cling to him, curious about my soon-to-be mate. “It’s not the *hunter*, is it??”

He groans loudly, rubbing his forehead. “He’s irritated, and needs a little space *Alessia.*” He scrapes me off his arm and heads up the stairs, towards Alpha Kai’s office.

“W-why would he need space from me!” My voice pronounced in a squeak, I scramble, following him up the stairs. He glances over his shoulder with an annoyed look.

“What is your problem? Stop following me.” He growls, making a sharp turn at the top of the steps, before slamming Alpha Kai’s office door in my face.

*’That fucking no-good Beta…’* I howl mentally, a small huff and grunt slips through my lips as I press my ear to the office door. Eavesdropping for any clues on where Leon could be hiding from me.
