“Your father.” Kade slurred. “He said if I stayed that he’d make my life a living hell. And that night… I had to at least see you one more time. I… I loved you so much, baby. If only I’d known you were pregnant, I’d taken you with me.”

“You can’t change the past, Kade. After they found out I was with a child, they kicked me out. I had no one. Then…”
“You came here and met Giovanni?”
I shook my head. “Actually, Luca was the first one I met. I ordered a sandwich and water, but he insisted it was on the house. Then, he offered shelter for me. I didn’t meet Giovanni until later. He said it wasn’t safe for me in the city.”
Kade clenched his jaw. “It’s not safe for you. Not on these streets.”
“Nothing happened. I’m still here, aren’t I?”
“Yes, and I have Giovanni and Luca to thank for keeping you safe. But then, you were attacked…”
I cupped his face and kissed him hard. All the hate for him seemed to evaporate. I straddled him and ground my hips against his cock. Kade took this to his advantage. He circled my waist and growled against my mouth. “Do you know how hard it was to not murder every man that looked at you?”
I tore my lips from his mouth. “Did it make you jealous?”
“Damn right it did. Maybe I should make it perfectly clear who you belong to. Maybe I should make it known that you’re a taken woman. That I’m your baby’s Daddy.”

“Do you now?” Kade asked as he buried his face into my chest.
“Tell me, did it piss you off every time you saw me with Zane? Giovanni?”
I knew it did.
But I had to see just how far I could push him.
That may have been a mistake.
The next second, he stands up and slams me against the wall. He eyes darken and he slides my panties to the side. It shouldn’t excite me when he gets this way. I blame Zane for that. It was like he opened up a side of me I didn’t know existed.
“Did you let Zane touch you here?” Kade asks lowly as he brushes his finger against my clit.

“Good, because I’d hate to murder Giovanni’s son.”
Zane wasn’t really Giovanni’s son. Not by blood. He took him in and claimed him as his own.

I drug my nails down his back. “You’re the only one I’ve been with. There’s never anyone else. Well, except for…”
“Don’t say his name when I’m fucking you.” He hissed as he continued to slam into me.
“Oh God, you’re much bigger than I remember.”
“I grew up, Selina. Back then, you got fucked by a boy. Now, this is me fucking you as a man. A man that loves you very much.”
My head hit the wall as my thighs quivered. I wrapped my legs around his waist and cried out his name. These walls weren’t soundproof and everyone probably knew shit was going down. But this was long overdue. Kade and I was only supposed to talk. I guess this will have to do. Until we get all the frustrations out. Kade fucked me deep. Hard. Later, I kissed his cheek and went back to my room when I knew he’d passed out. The next morning, I was greeted by Luca and Giovanni’s sly grins. My cheeks flushed at the memory of Kade and myself.
“So…” Giovanni started. “I’m assuming you and Kade kissed and made up.”
“We’re not gonna murder each other if that’s what you’re asking.”
“Good to hear.” Luca sighed in relief.
“All that fighting was starting to give me whiplash.” Giovanni teased.
A pair of arms wrapped around my waist and whispered in my ear. “Morning, darlin’.”
“So, you’re back together?” I heard Rose ask.
“We’re working on that, right baby?” Kade murmured.
“Yes.” I answered.
We had a long way to go, but we’d get there. Little by little, we’d be where we were always meant to be. Together as a family.
Giovanni narrowed his eyes. “Back to business, I need you and Kade to accompany me at my meeting tonight.”
Kade tightened his grip on me. “What, you mean she’s gonna…”
“No, I need you to entertain my guest tonight. Selina, I need you to waitress for them. And you, Kade, I need you to be there to make sure you keep the drinks coming. Angelo Valentino has called a meeting.” Giovanni paused as if he was carefully choosing his words. “Zane will be there as well.”
“What’s this about and who the hell is Angelo Valentino?” I asked.
“He’s ‘Boss’ of Las Vegas. To answer your other question, Zane has decided to extend the olive branch. If all goes well tonight, X-TASY will be in Vegas as well.”
“They should be landing any moment.”
“They?”
Giovanni nods. “Yes, they. He’s bringing a few of his men and his wife.”
“Thank God.” I hear Kade sigh in relief.
“Can I count on you guys?”
“Of course, after all if it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t have found each other again.”
“Good, good to hear.” Giovanni stated.
Luca slides two bags across the table. “Here, I took the liberty of getting you something to wear.”
I took one bag and glanced inside. A silver gown and a pair of matching heels were inside. I glanced at Giovanni and frowned. “But Kaden…”
“Will be fine with Courtney and Alec.”
“Are you sure that’s a good idea?”
“Relax Kade, Alec is good with our son. There’s nothing to worry about.”
Our son.
Not my son.
“Yep, they’re definitely back together.” Giovanni said with a grin.
I set the bag down and leaned on the table. “I need a favor.”
“You know you can ask me anything, sweetheart.”
“I want you to bring my father to me. Him and I, we need to talk.”
“You can’t just do this over the phone?” Luca questioned.
“No, I want him to suffer for what he did to me and Kade.”
“You want to kill him?” Giovanni asked.
“No, not kill. I just want him to come clean.”
“Selina…” Giovanni shook his head. “If you want me to bring him here, there’s no way he’s leaving. I would have to kill him. I can’t have him running back and telling everything he saw.”
“I just want to sit down and have a little talk with him. That’s all.”
“Ok, but if he upsets you, I won’t be responsible for my actions.”
“You won’t have to because her father will have me to deal with.” Kade cuts in.
“Kade, don’t…”
Kade twists me around and cups my jaw. “No baby, he hurt you and I’m not okay with that. He’ll pay for everything. For taking you away from me. Keeping me from my son. It’s time he paid his dues.”
“Ok.” I agreed.
Giovanni clapped his hands. “Great. Now, go get ready. They’ll be arriving shortly.”
Kade took a deep breath and whispered to me. “There’s one more thing we have to talk about.”
I furrowed my brows.
“After dinner tonight, meet me out back. It’s time you hear everything that happened that night.”
