CHAPTER 15

Her mother had made her feel better but the issue was still there. Why didn’t she kiss her like then way she did when they met at the club? She still had two more dates and she was going to take the initiative if Haven remained still.
Gina was going crazy; she was sure someone was out to get her boss. A lot of people were beginning to get interest in her boss. To the outside world Haven was just as unemployed like any other person though she owned the club in her name.
Her boss was the boss and mother to a lot of people. People worshiped her and she did as what she likes. She just wanted to become like her but dying wasn’t part of it.
She read through the emails and marked a few. She will give them to Haven when she goes to work the next day.
She was about to close her laptop when she got an email. She opened it and smiled. It was from this other guy who worked at the bank, the Viper Bank, the largest bank that a few knew about. He had been pursuing her for two months now but she was afraid.
She didn’t want to mess up her job. She heard the first assistant Haven got, dated someone and she got fired. Haven was unpredictable and unless she told you it was hard to just do what you want.
“Please be my date for the next meeting!”
“I can’t, I have to be by her side.”
“She won’t mind and I doubt she will need you there.”
“I will have to check with her first. I don’t want to lose my job.”
“Yes, just confirm and I will be waiting. See you at work then.”
“See you then.”
She logged off and put her laptop on top of the table and got in her blankets. It was going to be another big day tomorrow and she wanted to be fresh when the sun rises.

Haven kept her eyes closed as the meeting progressed. There were so many issues and it was becoming so annoying.
“Mother, what do you want us to do?” the lead priest asked.
She opened her eyes and saw everyone looking at her.
“I will solve this issue at once. Since everyone has something to say today, I will advise you to write your queries down. The Oracle will give you papers to write on and for those who have business ideas, please do write them down. I will personally go over them and answer you.
What I need you to do right now is to keep faith and remember not to tarnish the good name. For those who just made it to three months, the priests will tell you what you must do; so, don’t go anywhere,” she said and stood up.
“Should we give them their tattoos?”
“Yes, you should. And make sure everyone is catered for. I need to make the ink, make sure the generals get the ink,” she said.
“We will make sure they do.”
“I bid you farewell my children. Always remember that I hate it when you start silly wars outside. I will personally punish anyone who breaks it,” Viper said and left the hall.
When she arrived outside Gina was behind her. Gina removed the red robe she was wearing and put it in the car.
“Where should I take you?”
“To the mall, I feel like shopping.”
“What about the ink?”
“I already made it. I need you to go to my house and take it. Make sure you pass it to the lead priest and priestess,” Haven said.
“What about you?”
“Just drop me off and give me my phone and bank card.”
“If you insist, then I will do so.”
Haven got inside the limo followed by Gina and they left the hall. The hall was secretive and found in one of the sacred lands of the Viper people. It was a place that one could never find if you were not permitted.
Tom drove her straight to the shopping mall and she got off.
“When should I come and pick you up ma’am?”
“Just send her to me,” she said looking at him.
“You mean her?” Tom asked.
“Yes, I mean her. She will be fine on her own. You just rest and make sure Gina delivers the ink.”
“Okay, I will do so. Please enjoy,” Tom said and returned to the car.
Haven began her window shopping. It felt good especially after the long meeting. She was passing by a jewelry store when she stopped and went inside.
The place was packed and filled with all kinds of jewels. She was looking at the new arrivals and spotted a nice necklace. It was simple and yet beautiful. She looked at it and the server came to her.
“You have a good eye Miss,” she said smiling.
“Why is that?” she asked.
“This one is part of our eternal love series.”
Haven had heard about it from someone, there were so many rumors about it. They were just stories to sell the jewels but they were good.
“Whatever the story behind them, I don’t really care. Just wrap it up for me,” she said taking out her card.
