CHAPTER 17
Queen was her favorite because she got the car after her resurrection. She was personally customized for her. She wanted a car she could rely on in times of need and it also happened to be her dream car. She had always wanted to buy a Corvette C6 but she couldn’t afford it even when she was born in a wealthy family.
Her parents never gave her allowance, they said she should work for herself since she was an embarrassment to the family but all changed when that viper bites her and she became the Viper.
Life was getting so good for her except that someone she knew and trusted was out to kill her. She was going to find that person and make sure he pays for everything.

She was anxious; the people she had hired to trace Haven just went missing. They were supposed to report to her on a daily basis but they never showed for three days. She was curious about what Haven do all day and if she was working what kind of a job would make her have so many expensive cars.
Helen even went to her apartment but it seemed like Haven never lived there. She knew her sister and it wasn’t right. Was she really doing drugs?
She had always been curious ever since the night Haven went missing three years ago. No one really paid attention to Haven but they all liked it since everyone will just take it out on her.
That day Helen was frustrated because she couldn’t get a part she wanted in a drama. So she decided to come back home and release her stress through Haven but she wasn’t home. She kept looking for her but she couldn’t find her.
Haven had no friends; she dropped out of school when she was in high school. No one knew the reason even until now. Ever since then their parents just kept their back on them and she and Heart find it easy to do the same since Haven was always the best among them.
Haven went missing for a week and when she showed up she was different. It was as if she was looking at someone else with Haven’s face. She was scary and began to just disappear for days and come back. One day she just moved out of the house saying she got herself a job though no one really went to verify.
Ever since then Haven began to wear expensive clothes, you could tell her lifestyle really changed from before. But what she really did she still had no idea which is why she hired those men to find out.
They had been reporting to her for two days before they went missing. One thing was for sure Haven was a player and was into girls. Where she lived, she still had no idea though she found out Haven loved to race which made sense about the money. She wasn’t satisfied though.
Helen took the glass of juice she was having and took a sip. She placed it back on the table when the news suddenly caught her eyes.
Why were the men she hired dead on the news? They were widely known and wanted too. How did she not notice it? Who killed the three of them? Was it Haven? She was in big trouble if it was Haven. But if it was her then was her sister a killer?
Is that how she had been living all these years? Just imagining the things she did to her made her regret. She had to get on Haven’s good side before she got murdered herself.
She picked up her phone and called Heart her other sister.
“What is it?”
“Do you have Haven’s number?”
“No, I don’t. You should try mom. Why do you want it?”
“I was just curious, that’s all. Bye.”
“Don’t do anything stupid, bye,” Heart said and hung up.
The next thing she did was to call her mother who then gave her Haven’s number.
She was going to call later and not now. Haven was always a suspicious person and she didn’t want to get on her radar.
Gina was very worried. Someone really attempted to kill her boss though they met their fate. She still had no idea who tried to kill Haven but she was sure Haven knew and she was very calm about it. How could she be that calm?
She knew her boss; she had a temper though she knew how to control it. If she wanted a person dead then she would just kill her and be done with it. But at the moment her boss was busy trying on clothes so that she could go on her third date with Amber.
Haven was in love and she could tell. Gina was really happy for her but she wasn’t supposed to be out there when something like that was happening. Of course, Haven has shadow guards who protected her everywhere she goes without being noticed but what if someone succeeds in hurting her?
She couldn’t imagine a life without Haven getting on her nerves at all.
“How do I look?” Haven asked as she came out dressed in her new white jean trousers, white t-shirt and a jacket.
She looked lovely in it.
“That is perfect. Wear that,” Gina said.
“Thanks. Is the car ready?”
“Yes, it is.”
“Good. I’m in a very happy mood so take the day off.”
“But…”
“No buts. I know there is that guy pursuing you. Go on a date with him, get laid and all. Or I will fire you!”
Haven wasn’t joking. That was one scary thing about her. If she says do it then you should just do it. She knew everything which is why it was very difficult to bad mouth her.
“I will take the day off.”
“Unless it is a life or death situation, don’t call me.”
“I will bear that in mind.”
“Good, let’s see each other tomorrow morning with the good news,” Haven said and left her bedroom.
Gina followed her outside where Queen was waiting. How did Haven come up with Queen for the car? That car was a bossy metal. It listened to no one except Haven. How was she programmed?
“You need calm down Gina, or I will be calling the ambulance to fetch you,” Queen said showing those red lights.
Gina hated this car.
“I will keep it low,” she said.
“You heard her Gina. Now do what I ask of you before I get mad.”
“I will get right to it,” she said and watched as Queen left the mansion with her boss.
