Chapter 15
I quickly rush to my room and see Liza applying her lip gloss. I frown at her.
"I thought we agreed on no lip gloss. You're very funny you know. We're going to be drinking, eating, laughing and shouting. Your lip gloss will be gone before you know it. Liza stands and grins.
She's currently putting on black skinny, fitted trousers and a white top. She completed the look with black flip flops and black necklace. We're kinda matching but in a opposite way. She grins when she realizes that.
"My lip gloss may be gone by then but at least I know it was there" I laugh at her little poetic speech and shake my head. I love this girl. "By the way, you look casually gorgeous dear".
I grin at her " Likewise, and we're also almost matching. You know, it's almost like we read each other's minds" I say with false seriousness.
"But in the opposite way" with that we both start laughing.
"Never seen anyone rock casual wear like we do" Liza said with a smirk.
"like no one dear" with that we start heading towards the door after Liza grabbed her phone from the nightstand.
Girls night, let's get started.
Liza and I go to the game room and start assembling our snacks. We pour our chips and popcorn into big bowls and of course the chocolate. We also scoop out ice creams and make milk shakes. We bring out wine and drinks for later when we watch romantic movies and also sandwiches for when we watch horror movies. Our sleepovers usually take lots and lots of ours. We assemble the couches in the game room, comforter, and floor beds.
We didn't clash with the guys on our way here cause the game room doesn't go through the living room. I'm really thankful for that cause I don't really know how I feel about seeing Damien after what happened this morning.
"So how are things going with Damien" Liza asks before having another spoonful of ice cream.
"Normal, we don't like fight like enemies that much anymore but we do not speak like friends"
Liza and I stayed quiet for a while, I take another spoonful of ice cream and snack on my chips. Liza scoots closer to me and rests her head on my lap.
She gazes at my chocolate brown eyes and sweetly asks "Do you wanna leave the marriage?".
Liza's question has me thinking for a while. Do I really even know what I want? Of course I don't love Damien, I don't even like him. We are not even friends. I've always resented this marriage. I'm trapped but when I think about it, I'm kinda thankful this happened. It made me see how my parents controlled my life, made me understand that I need to love myself and live for myself. I don't get pressured to settle down.
I smile at Liza "Honestly, I don't even know what I want. I definitely know there's no hope for me and Damien and I don't have feelings for him. But, I feel like I don't want to start dating anyone, I'm not ready to love another person that much yet. I want to focus on myself, love myself, live my life on my own terms and then learn how to trust again. When I work on this things then I'll be ready. If Damien find da a way to end this contract then fine, if he doesn't then fine for now"
"I'm proud of you live, and I know you'll do what makes you happy. That's all I want" Liza sits and gives me a long hug.
" Okay, enough with the emotional stuff, let's get drunk" she says grinning.
I just chuckle " You know, you have the worst mood swings. One moment you're sweet, the other moment you're sour"
" Circle of life" she says shrugging. We pick one movie from the sets I've choosen and start watching it. It's a highschool romance movie. We get into the middle of the movie which is so tense and nerve racking cause of it's romantic suspense when a voice disturbs us.
We pause the movie and turn towards the door to see Chris popping his head from the small opening of the door. We didn't even realize someone opened the door, good movies do that to you.
"Did you ladies order anything?" he says with a smile.
Liza and I exchange a look before saying no. He nods then leaves.
"Are you guys expecting someone?" he says reappearing again.
Liza and I shake our heads again.
"Are you guys expecting a guy?" He asks disturbing us again. Liza and I groan and then shout simultaneously "NO!!!!"
"Sorry, but are you guys expecting a guy named Sam? He's at the gate and he insisted he came for one of you"
We're about to shout no when we both freeze and exchange a nervous look.
Okay, what the freaking hell is Sam doing here?
