Dorothy POV ??
I woke somehow late, that Monday
I wasn t feeling too well
I had to manage to do some arrangement as usual
I was almost done with the sweeping when I felt something strong choking me
I started coughing continuously
Soon, bloods started coming out from my mouth
My Uncle who heard me coughing, ran out from where he was
"What!?" He shouted really scared of what he was seeing
He rushed to me with a handkerchief
He used it to hold my mouth
"Maybe there is something she puts inside you" my Uncle said
"I hope you cough it out" he added
"Water" I managed to say
He left the handkerchief with me and ran inside for the water
He rushed back almost immediately
I collected the water and poured it inside my mouth
I used it to flush my mouth and splashed out the water which contains lots of bloods
I did it three times and I was back to normal
I held my neck slightly
Calming my temper down
I felt something at the right hand side of my neck
I kept touching it but I couldn t figure out what it was
"Let me see" my Uncle said observing me
I removed my hand from my neck and he could see it very clear
"This is dangerous" he said narrowing his eyes
"What?" I asked not getting it
"You are in the dangerous spot, I think it is time to visit that my old time friend" my Uncle said
"You mean the demon fighter?" I asked
"Exactly" he replied
"If not, you might not survive this and every life will be at risk" he added
"Am already scared" I said because I never wished to die at that age
"You don t have to, and you don t need to go to school today" he said
"Why?" I asked because I knew David would be in the school
"You might bump into someone and may mistakenly burst it" he replied
"And I don t know how dangerous it would be, after that" he added
He was seriously getting me scared
"David will be in school today" I tried explaining to him
"I thought you said that he travelled?" He asked
"Yes but he came back yesterday, according to Jenny, his friend" I replied
"Okay then but you need to be careful with this" my Uncle said
While I nodded
"Go and dress up because it is already late, I will do the rest" my Uncle added
I smiled and rushed inside
In few minutes later, I was done
I tied a white handkerchief around my neck, covering the shape
I got to the school gate when the gateman was about to lock it
He started questioning me but was interrupted by my class mistress
It was a relief
She asked him to let go of me which he did
I was sure that her own question was coming
"You haven t been to school late, so what happened?" She asked when we left where the gateman was
"I was a little bit sick this morning" I replied
"Is that why you tied handkerchief around your neck?" She asked
It was sure that everyone must surely ask about it
"Yes, I applied it some water, so that my temperature will be calm" I lied
After much discussion with her, she allowed me to go inside my class
I rushed in and the first thing I saw was David with Jenny as usual and Jason seems less concerned
I don t know what he has in mind
I walked gently and passed them, straight to my seat
Bonny was sitting on our position
"Good Morning" I greeted him and sat
"Am not happy with you" he said
"Why?" I asked
I wasn t ready for anything at that moment but I had to maintain
I dropped my bag
"You kept me worried, I even tried your number but no answer" he replied

….. Jason POV ??
That Monday wasn t bright
I couldn t believe that I was that calm in life
Unfortunately, I didn t know what my intention really was
If it was to get Jenny or was to find out who David really was
Everything got me weak
I was looking at my book but I wasn t able to grab anything
I was just thinking about what I would do next
Soon, Dorothy walked out of the class
After some minutes, David did the same

As usual, the queen mother and I was in my residence when the other demon shows up
"I guess you are worried?" The queen mother indirectly asked her
"Don t you think that you people are keeping long?" The demon returned the question
"I don t think so" the queen mother replied
"Since she has lost her gift of seeing ghosts, this is the best time to kill her" the demon said
"My real intention was for that gum to kill her after destroying the gift" the queen mother said
"It works accordingly" the queen mother added
"Her Uncle is planning on bringing in our greatest threat into the game" the demon said
"And if he does, the man will get rid of that gum inside her" the demon added
"It can t be possible because it s already melted" the queen mother said
"He might dessolve the active of the gum" the demon said
"And we know that once she recovers it back, the doom will be near" the demon said
Their conversation was really something else because I was already worried
That means the next plan was to kill Dorothy
I would decide that even if they don t want to
Because she might stop the opportunity of Jason coming to me
"Then we need to plan on another way because the leaf is still intact with her always" the demon said
"Don t worry, it is Faith s destiny, she will eliminate her" the queen mother replied
"I have to go somewhere now" the demon said and disappeared

I rushed out to meet Dorothy because I thought something was wrong with her when I saw her leaving with her bag
I couldn t find her anywhere
I checked around the females washroom but no one was there
I rushed out to the school compound
I heard someone coughing from the school garden
As I got in there, I saw her bending over
She was seriously coughing when I got there
Her bag on her back
I wouldn t believe it, if was pregnant because that was one of the signs
"Dorothy" I called gently
She paused and raised up her head
She turned to face me
Her face was somehow red
Her mouth was filled with bloods
"Dorothy" I said again and meant to rush to her
"Don t come close" she said pushing forth her hand
"What happened?" I asked
I was beyond shocked
"I don t really know" she replied
The wind storm started
I touched my pocket, then remembered that I forgot it at home
"What s the problem?" Dorothy asked noticing my little move
Just then, the demon appeared
Dorothy don t seem to be worried about her appearing
"Don t you see her?" I asked
"What?" She returned the question
"Don t worry, she can t see me anymore" the demon said
I thought she was lying because I knew that Dorothy has the gift
"How do you mean?" I asked
"She has lost her gift" the demon said
"I mean that I don t know what you are talking about" Dorothy said
"Can t you see the demon?" I asked
"Who?" She asked
"I can t see them anymore" she added
"Seriously?" I asked while she nodded
"She is here" I added
"I can t see any of them" she said almost crying
She brought down her bag and began to check something
She took out the leaf and the demon disappeared
"But what happened?" I asked
"Is she gone?" Dorothy returned the question
"Yes" I replied
"I don t really know how it happened but I have lost the gift, so you need to be extra careful" she said, putting back the leaf in her bag
She carried her bag and walked away
I was just left with thoughts

I got back to the class after some minutes
What happened at the school garden was very difficult to leave my mind
It kept playing countless times
If truly that she lost her gift, then my life will be in danger
I still finds it difficult to believe it
I turned to look at her since she was at the back
Our eyes met together
I returned my face immediately
I didn t know why I couldn t hold an eye contact with her at that moment even though I have been chatting with her
"Is she still keeping distance?" Jenny asked
I managed to smile
"Not really" I replied
"Can I speak with her on your behalf?" She asked
"It s not like we are having issue" I responded
"Let s continue from where we stopped" I added just to change the topic
I took my book and we continued
After dismissal, Jenny s driver came earlier than before
She had to leave early
I walked gently around the school compound as I waited for my driver
Students were trooping out from their classes to the exit
Those who normally go with private cars were been picked by their drivers
I wondered what could be keeping mine
I became tired and sat under a tree
Soon, I saw a shadow coming from my back
I stood up and turned
It was Dorothy
"Have been standing there?" I asked
"No, What happened to your leaf?, You didn t bring it out when the demon shows up?" She asked back
"I forgot it at home" I replied
She took out a leaf from her bag and stretched it out to me
"You have to be with it always" she said
"Just tell me that you didn t lose the gift" I said since it was hard for me to believe so
She didn t respond, rather she threw the leaf on me and untied a handkerchief around her neck
"What s that?" I asked and meant to move closer to her
"Please don t" she said pushing forth her hand
I was just blinking and looking at the shape on her neck
"This happened, just after I lost the gift" she said
"What does it symbolize?" I asked
"Maybe for loosing it" she replied
Just then, my driver drove in
He parked just before me
"Am sorry for being late but I was caught up with a traffic jam caused by an accident" my driver apologized
"No problem, but hope you are fine?" I asked because of the accident I heard
"Am fine" he replied
"Good" I said and turned to Dorothy
"Can we go together?" I asked
"As in let me drop you off" I added
"Don t worry, am going with Bonny" she said
I felt jealous somehow but I don t know why
Just then, I sighted Jason, Andy and Sam walking down together from the school stairs
Other students were also coming down
Bonny followed the other direction of the school building
"Just be careful" I said and got inside the car

…. Dorothy POV ??
The following day, I woke up with a great fever and headache
My Uncle rushed me to the hospital
Unfortunately, my doctor wasn t around but her assistant took care of everything
I was given injection that reduced the pain
He prescribed me some drugs
Although I knew it wasn t useful because it wasn t an ordinary sickness and I was hospitalized
I missed school for that day even my Uncle cancelled that day s market
All I could think throughout the day was what might happen in the school
I prayed that David came with the leaf
My Uncle asked me to stay while he went to prepare my lunch
He said that I shouldn t worry myself
It was good of him
Still lying on the hospital bed
Just as he left, Bonny s call came in
I was forced to smile
"Dor-Dor" he called
"That s not my name" I responded in our normal way of chatting
"Stop letting me go through worries" he said
"Why aren t you in school?" He asked
"Am a little bit sick" I replied
"Have you taken your medication?" He asked
"Yes, am better now" I replied
"You should have at least call me" he complained
"I haven t been able to think straight" I replied
"Just missing you like mad, hope you aren t going to miss tomorrow?" He asked
He sounds so caring
I smiled
"Sure"
"Is David in school?" I asked but there was no response from him

… Dorothy s Uncle (Mr Ken) POV ??
Dorothy was discharged that evening because the sickness seems to have reduced
She was feeling better
I had to pamper her that day
I prepared her dinner and served her as a princess, she was
At that point
After eating, I dressed her bed very well
I watched her sleep off
I walked straight to my room
According to the spirit book, there was nothing like Dorothy getting sick
I looked at it for some minutes before dropping it
I contacted Mr Patrick but his line wasn t going through
I wondered if he has forgotten that I exist
Since Dorothy s matter was getting out of hand, I decided to visit Mr Patrick before it would be too late
The following morning, I woke up really early and did the chores Dorothy used to do
I was done in few minutes
I got dressed up for the journey
I wouldn t mind skipping one week of market, just to get Dorothy treated
I was ready to go when Dorothy came out from her room
She greeted me
Was also surprised on what she was seeing
"Uncle, why are you going dressed like this?" She asked
I had to smile before responding
"I need to visit that my old time friend, for your sake and that of David" I replied

Surprising was an understatement to be referred to as what I was
On seeing my Uncle
"I thought you said that it would be on weekend?" I asked
"Yes but change of plans" he replied
"It s so sudden" I said
"That s because the matter is sudden" he responded
I didn t know if I should smile or not
"Just take care of yourself, when am out" he said
"I might return late because it would be difficult to find him" he added
"Okay Uncle, I will try" I responded
"You might leave school for now, because am afraid" my Uncle said
"Don t worry, I will take care of it"
After much talk, he left
I got prepared for school since everything was already done
I went to the kitchen and found my breakfast already prepared
I smiled and devoured it
I took my medicine
I rushed to where I do take public bus
Soon, I was in the school gate
The gateman didn t bother me as he did
As I got in, Bonny was very happy to see me
Expression on David s face shows that he was also happy

"So the time is up" the demon said
"Seems like" the queen mother responded
"Mr Ken is already on a journey to fetch our greatest threat" the demon said
"You mean the demon fighter?" I asked really worried
"Exactly, and everything will soon over" the demon said
"There are so many ways to kill a rat" the queen mother said
"It s time to kill Dorothy" the demon said
"If not, everything will be over" the demon added
I knew that at that point, I was left with no other option than to kill Dorothy
I wouldn t want to lose Jason
They were still discussing when I disappeared
I had to end it there
I appeared at a place where I was sure that Dorothy would see me

I became bored when Bonny left to use the toilet
I stood up from my seat and walked up to the window
I saw that same girl that I saw the very good day that I lost my gift
I rushed out from the class
Down to where she was
As I got down, she started walking out
I was calling her but she didn t bother to turn
I followed her up immediately
I needed to get back my gift
I guessed she must be useful
She entered the school farm but I followed her
I was ready to face anything

I was just surprised when I saw Dorothy rushing out of the class like that
I rushed to the window where she saw what she was following
I saw the same girl that I saw with Jason one certain occasion
She followed the backyard and Dorothy rushed after her
My mind ran to the school farm which was the only thing that would take someone to the backyard
I remembered that was where Zita was killed
"Oh no" I said but gently walked out of the class
I got down but no sign of them
I rushed to the direction of the school farm
I remembered the leaf and rushed back
I collected it and gently walked out of the class
I find my way to the school farm

We were in the discussion on how to get David and some other stuff
I felt my stomach turning as if my nose perceived something
I looked out from the window, to throw out a spit
My eyes caught David rushing inside the school farm
I couldn t figure out what was happening, so I waved it off

I got at a spot when I was sure that she was in
I turned to face her
"I have to discuss something with you" she said but I didn t reply her
My eyes started turning around
It changed to complete red
I totally turned to my ugly demon
She was just looking around, I guess looking for me
I remembered that she lost her gift
I had to make it in a way that human could see me
She gasped when she saw me

…. Dorothy POV ??
I was shocked when she disappeared and later reappeared to an ugly creature
It looks exactly like the demon I saw on the girl s head before I lost the gift
I wondered if I had gotten it back
I looked around when I remembered that I forgot to take the leaf when I was rushing after her
She raised up her head as fire was coming out from it
She made an attack
I didn t know what next to do
I tried screaming but she has gotten close to me and the next thing was her sharp claw to slice my neck
I held it and fell on the floor and bloods were flowing out from the wound
I felt that I would die sooner

I got out from class after taking the leaf and rushed inside the school farm
I ran deeper as fast as my legs could carry me
I stopped at a spot when I saw Dorothy
Another ugly creature with one eye was standing before her
I wondered if I was beginning to see demons like Dorothy
The demon made an attack on Dorothy and slice her neck
Dorothy fell on the floor with bloods splashing out from her neck
The demon laughed and flew to the other edge of the area
It made another attack but I wouldn t let him or her complete it
So I brought out the leaf and threw it at her direction
I could see the power of the leaf pushing her backwards
She disappeared immediately
I looked around with fear before rushing to where Dorothy was lying and was struggling with her life
"Oh no, Dorothy" I cried trying to carry her up
"David" Dorothy said with bloods spitting out from her mouth
"Please don t say a word now" I said walking as fast as I could since I couldn t run
Due to the weight
"Please don t kill someone else" she said and tears were already flowing down from my eyes
"You are making it worst please" I said instead
"Tell my Uncle that I love him" Dorothy said
The last thing I would stand was to see Dorothy dies just right before me
Soon, we were out of the farm
Before us were Jason, Bonny, Andy and Sam

…. Jason POV ??
We had to wait for David before the entrance of the school farm after when Bonny told us about him rushing in there
I remembered that it was the same place where him and Zita went before she died
There was only one way to find out the truth
Which was to wait for him to come out
But I first of all checked Jenny and she was in the class
We gently walked and stood before the entrance
Not too long, David walked out of the school farm with Dorothy s body

"What did you do to her?" Bonny asked really crying
"This is not the right time for this!" David shouted
"Just get your car key because she is still alive" David added
Bonny scratched his head and turned to face me
I was the only one who does come with my car lately
I already knew that he was about to ask me to let my car out for him and the only way to be very sure that David was the killer was to rescue Dorothy
"A minute" I said as I rushed to the class where my car key was
I ran back after getting it by then, David was already beside my car with the body
I sighted that same leaf on his hand
I threw up the key to Bonny who caught it
"Thanks" Bonny said
He rushed to the car and opened it
David places Dorothy s body inside the car and entered
Since the parking spot wasn t that exposed to the school building apart from principal s own, it was difficult for students to see what was happening
Bonny got in and drove off but had to stop before the gate
The gateman wanted to delay them but on seeing that it was urgent, he opened the gate immediately
Andy and Sam in the other hand has left to where they know better
Just then, the principal rushed to where I was
"What s going on?" He asked

If it was something else, it would have happened
"Dorothy" I replied
"What about her?" The principal asked
"She was attacked by the same beast" I replied

"Assuming you know that the killer is already out, you won t suggest about closing" I thought
So many thoughts began to run in my mind
If David was with the leaf, that means it doesn t affect him

I arrived at the airport in Switzerland
