I kept walking around the hospital premises
I couldn t believe that COP Kelly shot her
I wondered what she did to him
Lots of thoughts occupied my mind
I kept scratching my head continuously
"Please Mr" a female voice called
I already knew that it would be me
So I had to turn around
"Please come with me" she said and I followed her
She gave me some file to fill
"The doctor said that you should get it down" she added
I nodded collecting it
I walked straight to where there was a space and started filling up the form
I submitted it when I was done
The nurse asked me to wait for a while
After some time, the doctor came to me
"Mr Ken" he called while I stood up immediately
"Please come with me" he added
"Please sit" he said when we got in his office
"Luckily, it wasn t a big deal" he started
"The blood she lost wasn t much" he added
"That s a great relief" I responded
"But she has to stay here for the main time because she doesn t need stress now" he said
"So, how long will she have to stay?" I asked because we didn t have much time
If not, David would definitely die
"I would advise her to stay up to one week, although the wound won t fully go" he replied
The one week was really far for what we had to go for
I wished Dorothy becomes strong enough very soon
"Has she woken up?" I asked
"Not yet" the doctor replied

After the hunting, I decided to stay in different place for the main time
My mind kept playing what happened earlier that day
I always feel bad after hunting, I think that was my human side
My mind ran to how Dorothy used her body to defend the bullet
Assuming she had not come, I never thought that the bullet would kill me
I was already a beast and I knew that a single bullet can never kill a beast
I felt for her, I wondered how she would be doing
I had to try visiting her
Even though that it would be risky
"We still have one more mission" the demon said through me again

That would be the worst hunting because knowing about her death, Jason s family was her target
If am to kill Jason s father or Jason himself, that means it has finished

It was already night and my wife wasn t yet back
I was really worried about that, even her driver has not yet returned
I tried calling her but her line was off
I called her secretary and she said that since she left for the meeting that wasn t hold due to what happened at the venue..
I became scared because the victim was a female
But if it was true, what about her driver?
I called COP Kelly who was present during the incident
He said that the face was damaged during the attack making it difficult to find out the person
I was really scared
I couldn t stand to lose the my only daughter and also my wife
"Hope you are aware of the hospital they took the victim to?" I asked him
"Yes, I was the one that called them" COP Kelly replied
"We have to go and check it ourselves" I responded

That night, I had to try something
I checked the cave where Jenny said David do stay but I couldn t find him
I wondered if he has gone for another hunting
I checked around the place but there was no sign of him
I never thought what if he has to attack me
I had to give up and went home

When Mr Luke s call came in, I was just wondering why he would call by that time
On hearing what he has to say, my mind couldn t stop racing

The following day, I met with Mr Luke as agreed
Jason wasn t around when I come
I wondered if he has gone to see David again
Me and Mr Luke took Mr Luke s car and went to the place where Mrs Luke supposed to have attended the meeting

We discovered that her car was still there
Mr Luke highlighted and we got down from the car
We got closer to the car and it was locked
Just then, someone rushed to us
"Driver" Mr Luke called
"Sir, ma am asked me to wait for her here and since then, she hasn t come" the driver said
I began to think very fast about it
"Where exactly did she go after getting down?" I asked him
"There but I didn t watch her that long because I went to get something down" he replied
"What s the color of her cloth?" I asked
"Blue" he replied
That was exactly the color
"Seems like" I responded
"What do you mean?" Mr Luke asked
"She seems to be one" I responded as we got to his car
It was the same hospital where Dorothy was taken to
As in their mortuary

I opened my eyes slightly but closed it because the brightness of the sky was much
I opened it again but gently
I looked around the room
I wanted to raise my hand when I noticed that I was on a drip
I relaxed back but something caught my attention
It was at the window
I turned properly and it was David with his eyes closed
I guessed, he was sleeping
"Hey" I called gently
He made a little movement before opening his eyes
He was surprised seeing me awake
He has nothing else to do but to smile
I smiled back
"How are you doing?" I asked while he just waved his finger
"Don t worry, am good" I responded to what I wasn t sure if that what he asked
I wished to get down from the bed to meet him but I couldn t, due to the drip
The door got opened and a doctor walked in
David bent down immediately
"Wow, you are awake" the doc said walking in
Someone followed him from behind
It was my Uncle
He was busy looking around the room
I guessed he felt David s presence
He smiled when I looked at him
I smiled back
The doctor came closer for the test
David brought up his face and I looked at his direction
The doctor turned to the direction I was looking at but David has already bent down
The doctor returned to what he was doing
David raised up his head again and my Uncle caught him with a look
My Uncle turned to me and smiled

I left home early that morning to visit David s mother
She was responding to treatment but still, couldn t open her eyes steady
The doctor kept saying that I should be visiting her all the time
It wasn t a big deal to me because I had nothing else to do
I was just looking at her when my phone began to ring
It was COP Kelly
"Jason" he called as usual
"Uncle" I responded
"Did your mom came back home yesterday?" That question was stupid
How could I know when she doesn t care about me and I hardly noticed that she has arrived
"Am not sure, it is better to ask Dad" I replied
"I always tell you that it might be too late, if you want to know how your mother is, come to Georgia general hospital" he said and hung up
I wondered what could possibly be the problem but I didn t care
"Do I even care?" I asked myself and sat down to where I was sitting
"Please go and see your mother first" David s mother said
She always talk whenever she wants to tell me something
And I never had the heart to disobey her
"Okay I will, just take care of yourself" I responded while she nodded smiling

I arrived at the hospital as COP Kelly directed
I parked my car and got down
I walked in gently
"Your Dad said we should bring you in when you come" a nurse said as she approached me
I was just looking at her while she covered my hands with hand groove
"Put on this please" she added giving me a nose mask
"What s the meaning of this?" I asked feeling irritated
"You need to go inside the mortuary and you need this" she replied
"What am I going there for?"
"Am sorry but your father instructed" she replied
I collected the nose mask and wore it
She took the lead while I followed her
It was my first time visiting there
I wondered what my Dad was doing there
My Dad and COP Kelly were standing at a spot when I walked in
' how could someone stay in there for nothing? I asked myself
My Dad turned when he felt someone walking in
COP Kelly did the same
I walked closer to them and COP Kelly opened one of the place where dead bodies were kept
It looks exactly like that victim David killed
I wondered why they were showing it to me
Maybe I would go against my decision
"Your mother" COP Kelly said
My eyes widened as I bent down my head
I checked at the mark she got on her shoulder

I couldn t believe that I wasn t able to recognize my mother s corpse just because her face was damage
I wouldn t blame myself because we hardly see ourselves

My Uncle informed me about COP Kelly looking for David after he thought that he was in the premises
He brought my food
I sat properly and he fed me with it
"I wonder how David will go with this days?" I indirectly asked because he must haves something to say about it
"David is safe even though that lots of eyes are at him" he replied
"So what is the next plan, as in will David remain like this?" I asked because I was really worried
"You just need to get better first because you can t do this with weak body" he replied
"So when am I getting discharged?" I asked
"It depends on your body because the doctor said that you need lots of rest" he replied
"I wouldn t mind going with this body" I said
"You really don t understand this, you need a full strength first" he responded
I had to wave it off and eat at that moment
Maybe I could think, afterwards
After eating, my Uncle was just packing up the plates when someone knocked on the door
We had to order the person in because we had nothing to hide
The door got opened and Jason walked in
He greeted my Uncle before waving at me
"How are you doing?" He asked
"Perfect, thanks for coming" I appreciated
"No prob, was David here?" He asked walking closer to where we were
I looked at my Uncle who looks at the windows
"Don t worry, they are gone" Jason said
"They?" I asked
"Yes, my Dad and COP Kelly was here" he replied
"Why?" I asked
"David s victim before you were shot, was my mother" he replied while I gasped
If that should be true, that means Jason would definitely hate David
"Please you have to know…" I was still talking when Jason cuts me short
"I know already, it is not his fault still there is nothing we can do about it" he said
"We are planning on it" I responded
"What kind of plan when the first man is gone, it will be better if we call for prayer" he said
It makes sense but how do we do that?
"This is destiny, even if you try something else which is not as destined, it will only turn out worst" my Uncle said
"What the hell is this destiny? How was it destined to be?" Jason asked
"That s what am looking into" my Uncle replied
"Okay then, oh it is already afternoon, David mother s food" Jason said looking at his wrist watch
"I will be going now" he added and left

I drove straight to my favorite restaurant and bought David mother s favorite food
It was just strange because she only talk whenever she wants to tell me something and also, she would only sit up whenever she wants to eat
Her sickness was totally different
After buying the food, I drove straight to the hospital
I remembered that COP Kelly has asked me where she was but I wasn t scared still
I wouldn t spare him if he ever tried something stupid with her
When I arrived, the doctor told me that the woman was looking for me
I forced out a smile before going to her ward
She was lying down as usual, with her eyes closed
"You need to eat" I said coming closer to her
She opened her eyes while I helped her to sit properly
I started feeding her
"How is David?" She asked
That was what I had always missed and it do get me jealous somehow
"David is still the same but we are planning to do something about it" I replied taking one full spoon of rice
"Can you promise me that?" She requested
I dropped back the spoon and sighed
"I can t make a promise because am not the one in charge" I responded before taking the spoon again
"David is the only thing I have, I can t loose everything, not now" she said
I felt bad for her but assuming she knows my own pain, she wouldn t have said that
"Okay, I promise" I had to, because she refused eating
"Have you eaten?" She asked
A smile of heartbreak forced out from my face
"Yes, just eat up" I replied
"I hope David doesn t skip his meals" she said
I wondered how monster eat when they only eat humans
Silent took over everywhere and she ate peacefully
When she was done, I made her lie down
When I thought she was asleep, I started my own thinking
"He killed my own mother but here I am, saving he s" I said bitterly
"My son, please forgive him" David s mother said
I couldn t believe that she was still awake
"Am not your son, and I thought you have slept off" I said
"I can t sleep, not even now" she replied
"Just try and forgive him please" she added

I had been thinking about what the book contains, after reading it
How the interference of the demons would come to pass
It was quite difficult for me to understand
The only part I understood was where my own part would be displayed
I wondered when the time would be
I was beginning to understand what Mr Patrick was talking about but he was supposed to be around because it was difficult

I had always known him as someone with evil plan but he doesn t love hurting his loved ones
His statement at that point was just confusing
"Are you planning to kill her?" I asked
"Who knows, I won t just spare anyone that try taking my place" he replied while I smiled
"You are still far" I said referring to his childish thought
"Let me call you back, I have some work to do now" he said
I smiled knowing what he was talking about

Bonny was another person that I would miss after the operation
I meant to wave everything off for the main time
A knock came to my door immediately
I sighed before ordering the person in
The door got opened and Sonia walked in
She was just another thing I needed to check on

Everything was just moving as the queen mother planned
She was actually the one who turned to someone that Mrs Luke killed some years ago, just to get her
Her next plan was what I couldn t tell
"Luke is Lucy s next target" the queen mother said as she appeared to my residence
"Jason will be left alone?" I asked turning to face her
"We have to leave him for the main time" she replied
"Jason would definitely hate David the more" I complained
"That s exactly what I want, in order for the plan to go" she replied
"Don t tell me that you are feeling bad for him?" She
"I can t just that the crash will be tough" I replied

"What have you done so far about Dorothy, I permitted you to be closer to her so that you could know her weak point?" She asked
That was really my mission but it wasn t going as planned
"Dorothy seems not to have weak point, I think David is her weak point" I replied
"She only love him, that s all" the queen mother said
"I think so but it can also be so" I replied
"Next target is Mr Ken, we need to get him down" the queen mother said
That was right because he was the brain behind everything

The future was getting closer and everything was going as it supposed
The next thing was to find out teams for the mission
The following day, I went to the hospital as usual
I had to try another method on my shop
Which was to put someone in the shop for the little he could get
I met with the doctor in his office because he asked me to see him the following day
"You really did good" he said when I reported
"So what is really the issue?" I asked
"Am just surprised because her body is responding to treatment and it is fast"
"I think she will be discharged before the time I said earlier" he added
I was not only happy that she was getting stronger but because the appointed time was close
I knew that mine was coming and I had to wait for it

Walking alone around my cave with lots of thoughts
Dorothy taking a bullet in my position was what I never expected
I knew that she was trying so hard to save me
But that taking bullet of a thing is what I was shocked in
I kept wishing she doesn t die
I hoped I didn t kill her because the demon has already warned me against it
Another demon appeared from nowhere to my cave
"We don t have time Lucy" she said walking closer to me
"Queen mother, Mr Ken seems to have known because the leaf never leaves his side" the demon replied through me
"Try another way, we can t just leave it this way" the queen mother said
"Which other way?" She asked
"We can simply use Jason through Faith, he is willing to see her"
"She would just tell him to take away the leaf"
"Exposing Faith before Jason is dangerous, don t forget that she has fallen in love with him" the queen mother responded
"I thought you have told her that he would join us after his death?"
"Jason never loose an opportunity, I had always tell Faith to avoid any kiss from him unless she would never exist anymore"
"Which you know that it is a lie, she will only gone from being spirit" the queen mother added
"So which other way?"
"That s your mission and position, you can t kill Mr Luke without killing Mr Ken" the queen mother said

In two days later, I was in my ward walking around the room because I hope that I was going that day
Although I haven t heard anything about killing, from David
Maybe because I have been indoor throughout
The door got opened
I turned towards it and saw my Uncle walking in
"You are really trying" he said smiling
"Good morning Uncle" I greeted
"Good morning, am here with your breakfast" he responded while I smiled
" am I not going to get discharged soon?" I asked as I walked straight to my bed
"You will be discharged today" he replied dropping the food.

"Have David killed anyone since then?" I asked because I was worried
"He has, that s why am trying so hard to get you discharged because he doesn t have much day to live" that word alone got me more worried
That means he would be dying soon if we don t act fast

…..Mr Luke POV ??
I was already getting scared of how I do loose my family
Jason was too stubborn to understand that we weren t safe
He always go out when he feels like, and come back as it pleases him
Even though we weren t safe, I still have to manage my business
I asked my driver to take me to one of the branches of my business in the town
Because it has been long time I went there
In each branches, I do have my personal office
I arrived there and got down
The manager I put to be in charge of the company, walked out to welcome me
He was so happy to see me
"Long time Mr Lee" I said because that was his name
"Welcome sir" he responded as we shook our hands
"How is business over here?" I asked as we walked in
"Fine, just that people are complaining about inflection" he responded while I smiled

As we got in there, greetings were coming front and back

It was really good to have money
I got to my office door and turned
"Get me those files" I requested referring to the plan for the year documents

After some minutes, someone knocked on my door
I wanted to order the person in, when the light went off
I was just surprised that I had to stand up

Oh my God! I screamed and rushed to the door
I forced it open but everywhere came back to normal

"What s the problem sir?" Mr Lee asked
"Did anything wrong with the light, as in did they just take the light now?" I asked back
"I don t understand, we have steady light" he responded
It was dawn to me that the demon was there
I wondered if I was his next target
I had to leave that office

I was discharged from the hospital and my Uncle took me straight to house
He said I shouldn t try doing anything in the house that he would handle everything
"This will only weak me" I said walking around the compound
"You don t have to walk too much" my Uncle complained
"I want to visit David today" I responded
"Let s wait because you aren t okay now, you still have some wound on you" he replied
"I can handle it"
"It is dangerous in that situation" he said
"Don t worry Uncle, just make a plan for me before I comes back"
I went inside for preparation
If am to wait for tomorrow, David might kill someone tonight
I had to go and quench his today s thirst
I went in to take my bath
The wound wasn t that serious anymore
I managed to bath and got out for my clothes
Soon, I was good to go
