chapter 45- I'm pregnant!!


Ted paused....Like what was going on.
He couldn't think straight anymore... $70,000 difference.

Wilf noticed and asked again
"you good?" he asked as he dropped his glass down
"uh....not really" he shyly replied

"actually... I don't have enough cash with me" he simply said
"stop it...are you being serious?" kiera sighed
"yeah and you're still eating" he said
"and so...if we stop any difference?" Rae asked
"I don't have my ATM!" he said again

"you're more than insane" Wilf rolled his eyes as the waiter walked to him

"chill man we'll settle you" Ted groaned


"here!" kiera said as she passed her ATM card to the Waiter.

Before it could get to him, Wilf held her hands as he gave his to him instead
"I'm not paying for all...like I knew this would happen" Wilf said
"Ah...thanks" ted sighed like he was rescued from a big Wolf
"No...I'm not paying all, you have some cash there, complete it" Wilf rolled his eyes
"Oh!" he mouthed
"yeah oh!" Kiera said in unison with Rae

And it was settled...
Kiera became heavy again... she felt sleepy

"You good?" Rae asked
"yeah..." she yawned
"Why don't you just go home than to go back to the company" Rae asked
"home..you're not feeling well?" Wilf asked her
"Want to sleep" She replied
"oh...no probs, I'll drive you home" Wilf said to her as he turned back to his food

She glanced at him and then turned away..





After eating...Wilf was in the car with Kiera driving her home
"you're really acting weird, why don't you lemme take you to the hospital" he said with his eyes fixed on the road
"Stop thinking about it, I'm fine....no Need to visit hospital" She assured him

"Kiera...you're only one" He said as he turned to her and back to the road

"Hmmm" she nods

After some time...she felt his hands on her laps

"Huh...?" she jerked as he laughed
"you were lost!" he laughed

The car pulled to a halt before the gate..

"home..." he smiled at her

"just go in and have a good rest, when I'm done in the company I'll head home immediately" he said with a cute smile
"seriously!" she laughed
"not like I'll miss you too much" she added
"oh you will" he winked at her...

"I see....you wish" she laughed

she stopped and looked at him.."guess I'll go now" she said as she folded her lips in, the moment she let it out he leaned in for a kiss

She reciprocated immediately as she shut her eyes close...Seconds later she pulled away
"you should go" she said as she stepped out of the car

Wilf chuckled as he watched her go in and then he drove away





"no !! you were going crazy!!" Rae yelled
"I'm sorry" Ted apologized
"why did you do it?" she folded her arms
"believe me I planned to spend but I forgot my card" he said convincingly
"I felt... I felt" Rae stammered
"I don't even know what to say" she sighed as he pulled her to a hug

"I understand...." he said softly as he rubbed her back..
" i won't do it again, I'd make sure I check myself" he said
"better..."



A WEEK LATER..

Kiera immediately ran to the restroom to throw up..
"Arrgh..." she groaned as she washed her face

She looked down into the basin..."why?" she lowly asked

She had been feeling this way for the past weeks...she doesn't want to believe its what's she's thinking

Wilf wasn't home, he went to work..she's at home with Rae and Ted
"hey..." Rae said as she stepped into her room

Kiera was just walking out of the bathroom.."hey" she smiled
"puked again?" Rae asked as she folded her arms
"yeah" kiera lowly replied
"hmmm...why don't you go for test!" she said to her
"no, I won't visit the hospital" kiera shook her head vigorously

"I know.. but, don't you think I might be___" she paused
"pregnant?" Rae asked
"yeah?" she frowned as she fell to her bed with a heavy sigh

"I've been having morning sickness, its frustrating!!" she groaned
"great, the symptoms are visible enough, go confirm" Rae shrugged
"no...I'm not" she refused
"Kiera!!" Rae yelled
"I won't okay...I'm scared i might freak out when I see it" she fired back
"and so...how are you sure it'd be pregnancy!" Rae asked
"you don't know how I feel.." kiera shook her head
"and if its it...you'll tell Wilf, what's the big deal!" she said
"Easy for you to say!" Kiera rolled her eyes

"I don't know what's wrong with you" Rae rolled her eyes
"visit a convenience store and get the test" she said
"not either" Kiera said
"you know what... don't talk to me until you do so!" Rae yelled already tired of her
"you're just delaying yourself, check and lemme know!" she said and angrily stormed out

"Rae!" Kiera shouted shocked she left that way
"don't tell me your sick until you do so!" Rae barged in and left immediately

"Whatever!!" Kiera fired back as she fell to the bed and ran her hand through her hair

"Ah....!" she screamed in frustration
"What do I do!!!!" she muttered...
"what if its positive?" she asked no one
"what will my mom say....?"
"what will Wilf say....!!" too many thoughts

She then dozed off....




Rae had been expecting her to come downstairs and do the needful
but surprisingly... Kiera is still upstairs
"what's with the face since morning?" Ted asked as he crossed his hands around her
"nothing..." she muttered
"obviously something" he replied
"Wilf would be home soon right?" she asked
"yeah..called him, he said he's nearby" Ted replied
"so what's wrong?" he asked again

She doesn't know if she should even tell Ted, what if he tells Wilf and kiera doesn't wants that??

She thought...


"its just that I don't understand what's going on with Kiera.. what's her few..it's crazy" she saod
"if I say I understand what you mean..I'm a big liar..what you talking about?" he asked
"Kiera is scared........" she trailed off as the door went open

"Hey!" Ted smiled as Wilf walked in
"Hey.." Wilf smiled back
"you good?" he asked Rae
"yeah thanks welcome home" she replied

"and where's Kiera?" he asked as he made his way to the kitchen to get some water
"she's in the room" Ted smiled

"Thanks" he said as he went up to his room


Kiera could feel someone else presence in her room, she was still asleep but the atmosphere felt different

Wilf then smiled as he saw her sleeping... He sat on the bed close to her and caressed her face
"sleeping beauty" he smiles

immediately her eyes went open..."Wilf?" she asked as he leaned forward for a peck on her lips
"Hey sugar!" he winked at her
"Hope you slept well?" he asked

'Wait...he's back... its evening already???' she thought as she looked outside The window and yeah
"Oh my goodness!!" she exclaimed as she sat up

"you okay?" he asked surprised by her act

"yeah I'm fine I slept well!" she rushed them up in a second
"Where are you hurrying to??" he asked
"Ah...I need to get something from the store" she replied as she tucked her feet into her flip-flops
"we don't have it here?" he asked
"yeah!" she nods

"I'd be right back!" she said as she pecked his cheeks and turned to leave but he held her back
"Wait a minute... What's that?" he asked

Her jaw dropped

She can't tell him....no way

"uh..." she gawked as she gulped down

"something" she smiled as she jerked herself away and ran out

"Kiera get back here!" Wilf yelled but she was already gone





She ran down the stairs with the car keys in her hand.
"Kiera??" Ted gasped
"hey..be back soon!" she said and left

Just then Wilf ran down
"Is she out??" he asked
"what's going on?" Ted replied instead
"she's out!" Rae replied

"Don't go after her....." Rae stopped him
"And why won't I?" he asked
"Just let her come back" she sat down to drink







The car pulled in front of a convenience store...
"Oh heavens please...dear kiera is going in" she prayed as she stepped out and walked in immediately
"Hi..." she greeted a staff
"hello ma'am, how can I help you" she politely asked
"uh....Pregnancy test!" kiera faked a smile


"The third shelf" she smiled
"Thanks..." she said and ran to it immediately...

"Thank goodness!" she exclaimed as she saw it...
immediately picked a pack and then went to get beverages to disguise and after that she immediately ran to the cashier

"Miss Kiera nice to meet you again"
"Yeah yeah yeah thanks" she said in a hurry
The lady went through her stuffs and opened her eyes wide at the pregnancy test

"Who wants to use it?"

"Just calculate the goddamn thing and lemme leave"
"oh! I'm sorry"

She was given her receipt and she left.

"I hope its negative" she payed and left.



Driving back home... her hopes were up!
"You're back!" Ted exclaimed

Wilf glared at her then what she was holding..."its just beverages" she said
"and we have surplus at home.. why buying again?" he asked as he walked to her

"uh...I wanted this brand" she lied as she hugged him
"okay...." he sighs as she pulled and ran upstairs with them

"these are personal" she gave a convincing smile and went to her room straight
Kiera was seated on the bed..
"should I try..." she asked no one then took a deep breath in

walking to the bathroom she held about five and went to pee..

"God please!"

She could feel her heart race...

Just then...she dipped it into her urine and brought it out

Her eyes were closed...Scared of opening them

"Gather yourself Kiera!" she whispered and opened it

"WHAT THE F**K!!" she screamed at the top of her voice

Positive!!!!!

"No..no...no" she shook her head and dipped another into

Same again!

More than two...same!!

"Nooo!!"




Rae then ran in and saw Kiera looking at nothing in particular..
"Hey..." she said softly as she went to her..
"Kiera?" she called as she tapped her

"Kiera !!"
"yeah...!" she came back to reality

"what did it say??" she asked

"its here!" she said as she raised the five of them up

Rae took them in and gasped
"You're....you're pregnant!!" she gawkes
"how is this possible!*
"Are you happy or not?" kiera asked her
"I am..."
"I'm not" kiera said

Rae looked into her eyes...She was teary
