Chapter 27: Fooled

Diana stared at her open palm, that is when she realized someone was staring at her “Diana” the young scion, who has been there all this while, called her name.

Diana's body stiffened, she wondered how the stranger knew she was the one, when she wasn't looking at her, she called her emotion and turned to the young man “Who is Diana?” she asked.

Regan came when Old Westley has been taken away, "let's leave” he told her, the party was in commotion.

The young scion seeing Regan, he was surprised to see someone else when Diana instead of Manager Duke, Diana snatched her arm away from Regan hold.

She stared at him with a hurting look, and walked away, “Diana” he called out to her, but she was running towards the direction the old Westley was driven to.

Some security men, blockade the area, and made restrict people from coming towards that direction.

Regan grabbed her arm, before she will be able to confront the security men, blocking the way.

“Diana, you can't go there, stop” he said to her.

“Let me go!” she yelled at him, the both of them began getting attention from people around.

Regan held her shoulders firmly “please, Diana” he pleaded softly, she ignored him, and ran towards the direction of the security men.

Regan watched her back dejectedly, he turned around and strode off “what a pity, the two pretty couples are having a fight” a lady with her friends witnessing the scene commented.

The six security men at the blockade, stepped forward, “ma, this is a restricted area” he told her.

Diana was unperturbed “let me in, I want to see my grandfather” she mistakenly said, the security details stared at her thoughtfully,

they would have mocked her, but, the young lady was as beautiful as the missing daughter of the Westley.

They hesitated, Mrs Hanson appeared at that moment “Rio, what is happening there?” she asked.

One of the security men ran to her, and explained things to her, Diana hid her face, and she realized her action was a badly thought idea.

She turned around and walked away briskly before Mrs Hanson could request Rio should take him to where the strange lady was.

Diana looked around the courtyard searching for Regan, but didn't see him, she ran into Philip, after confirming that Regan has driven away.

“The heavens are on my side, are you looking for me?” he asked.

Diana ignored him and tried to walk away, but he held her arm strongly, with a darkened facial expression, he clasped his palm around her neck, and slammed her to the wall.

He narrowed his eyes “don't ever walk away from any Orchard in your life, my sneeze could freeze Wrestvel, and merely snapping of my fingers, I could burn it down” he said.

Diana struggled to release his hold on her neck, but he was too strong, he leaned forward, and poked his tongue on her face, and kissed her cheek.

“You are so beautiful” he said, and the urge to have Diana intensified.

“Philip, what are you doing?” a voice asked from behind the two of them.

His body stiffened, and an angry glint flashed in his eyes momentarily, before he released Diana.

He turned around and saw angry Olivier, “she is a thief Diana, I saw her moving some valuables, that is why I attack her” he defended his action.

Olivier shook her head, refusing to believe his explanation “Hello, I saw you, you were all over her, trying to pounce on her like a dog on heat” she responded angrily.

Diana started coughing hysterically, her eyes were bloodshot, “she attempted to seduce me so that I can let her go,

but, I was warning her to stay away from me, that my heart belong to you, I love you so much, Olivier, I can't even breathe without seeing you a day”.

Diana gaped at him after hearing his words, he was lying without blinking at all "what, she seduced you Philip?” Diana ignored, her face was cold.

A sly smile appeared at the corner of Philip lips, “yes, I asked her to stay away, that…”

Diana sensing that, things are going in the wrong direction, she dashed towards the garden “security, security!” Olivier shouted insanely.

Three burly men, emerged “go, get that whore” she ordered, pointing towards the retreating figure of Diana, quickly, the security men ran after her.

Philip knew he had her where wanted, he quickly went on his knees “I know I have failed my love, I am ashamed of myself that I couldn't be more brutal to women, who want to take me away from you, I understand if you de…”

Olivier seeing how romantic he is, she stepped forward “please, get up” she urged him, helping up his feet.

“I love you, Philip” she said, and embraced him, while they were hugging, a big smile appeared on Philip's face.

Olivier face turned cold, and her eyes dimmed, “don't ever think you can live without me, Philip” she threatened in her head.

Diana while hiding she could hear the security men searching for her, asking the few people in the garden if they have seen her, her heart skipped a beat.

She began to wonder why Regan left her, all by herself, she palmed her face and a thought came to her mind, she shut her eyes, and transformed to a lady, but her outfit was just the same.

She stood on her feet, and strode out of her hide-out casually,

her heart beating rapidly, she came in contact with the security men searching for her, they stared at her suspiciously, but she stared at them boldly, but her heart was beating rapidly.

“Excuse me, miss, did you see a lady, dressed like you?” they asked her.

Diana with a gentle smile responded, “I did, she was running towards that direction, is she a thief?”

The security men thanked her, and quickly ran towards the direction she pointed to, Diana exhaled in relief, and quickly went towards the exit of the mansion.
