Mrs. Hanson looked at her daughter confused, she attempted soothing Olivier
“Darling, it is a good thing that the cops are here, I will have to report what your evil sister tried to do to you” she told Olivier, who is having none of it.
Mrs. Hanson would not want words to go out, that her daughter have lost her mind, it doesn't portray a picture of what she wanted to make of her.
“Olivier, stop it!” she snapped at her daughter, that immediately quietened, she stood on her feet and faced the maid “Mildred, I hope you know the consequences of words going out” she warned the maid standing at the door.
She bowed “Yes, ma'am” and replied, “good, you may now leave” Olivier waved her hand, and the maid left the room.
Mrs. Hanson glared at her daughter angrily, “you should start talking, Olivier, do you have a hand in what happened in the hospital today?” she asked her daughter.
Olivier hesitated before nodding, Mrs. Olivier frowned, she was utterly disappointed at her daughter “you should hire competent hands next time” she warned her daughter, and left her room.
The cops were waiting for her in the grand sitting-room, Mrs. Hanson descend from the staircase with grace “Captain Jack, why do I owe this visit?” she asked, while making her way to a chair.
The Captain stood to his feet, “Mrs. Hanson, we will have to take your daughter for questioning” he responded.
Mrs. Hanson raised her eyebrows in an askance, “on what ground, Captain Jack, if I may ask?”
Captain Jack exhaled “Ma'am, we apprehended an assassin who wanted to assassinate Miss Diana, and she confessed to have been contracted by Miss Olivier” he told her.
Mrs. Hanson acted surprise before her face darkened, “when did the police take words of criminals seriously?” she reprimanded furiously.
Captain Jack quickly chirped in, “Ma'am, we have cal…” Mrs Hanson curt in haughtily, “enough!” she snapped.
And stood on her feet, squinting her eyes at the cops who came along with Captain Jack “I have great respect for you Captain Jack for giving Wrestvel security guarantee, but, trying to blackmail my daughter is a redline, why don't you investigate, before hatching your eggs, Jeff!”
“Ma'am” a man in suit stepped into the open, “Captain Jack and his comrades have accomplished their mission here, they will love to be shown the way” she dismissed them and left them standing there.
Captain and the other cops he came with walked out of the house, he was in a bad mood, “Captain, do you think she knows the truth? She is protecting her daughter” one of the cops commented.
Another with disgruntled look “we should have forcefully taken the lady with us” another cop aired his displeasure, “Duse, you are in the Westley mansion” another of his comrade nagged.
“We should just leave, we can't do anything, even the commission can't even do anything” he complained bitterly, and left with his men.
At a bar in downside of the City, Philip stared at his phone's screen once again, his friend, drinking with him in the same table, observed.
“Philip, you have been looking at your phone the whole night, are you expecting an important message?” he asked.
Philip shot him a look and reclined on his chair exhaling “Yes, I am expecting a call, a lady I met in Wrestvel mansion, I couldn't get her off my mind” he lamented.
His friend chuckled and shook his head “dude, don't tell me you are in love with a lady you just met once, that love at first sight” he joked.
Philip face became serious “you can see that again” he reiterated with disdain, his friend realized he isn't buying the joke apologized.
“Dude, are you still going to marry Olivier?” he asked, Philip lips curled up in disdain, and he knotted his fist, all the blood on his face drained, and his eyes narrowed.
“Yes” he spat out, hatred becloud his eyes “I can't achieve my aim of taking the whole properties without marrying Olivier, the old man has been stubborn, to sell the properties” he said with a frown.
His friend nodded, “the Old man has been instrumental to the rise of the Westley, and their daughter, Diana….” he recollected, Philip yawned.
“Let's just go home, I am tired” he said, dodging the issue, his friend reluctantly stood, and the both of them left.
Regan decided to leave the hospital after staying there for long, while walking in the street, he saw a blind man, sitting play quilter, a bowl at the side, anyone who passed drop few dollar notes in the bowl.
Regan put his hands in his pocket, and walked towards the blind musician, when he got nearer, he walked pass him without dropping a dime, the blind beggar cursed him inwardly, and continued playing and singing.
He hasn't stepped six feet away from where the beggar sat in a street bench, he returned and strode pass the blind quilter player.
The man sensed the perfume and a big frown appeared on his face, he stopped singing, and wobbled his hand on the bench searching for the bowl he kept his money.
He decided to stop playing and put it on his laps, he waited for long, for Regan to go away, but Regan decided to take his time, and leaned on a wall.
The man looked around, and peaked when no one was looking, when he didn't see Regan, he returned the bowl and started playing and singing, Regan chuckled and walked pass him.
“Good sir, drop…” he paused instinctively after sensing the familiar perfume, he instinctively grabbed his bowl of money.
And opened his eyes burning with hate “go away, scum!” he shooed Regan away without reserve, Regan was unfazed, he stared intently at the man, and narrowed his eyes at him. “Have you regained your sight all of a sudden, that must be a miracle, don't you think so?”
