Chapter 53: Old Westley

“Go! Go!! Go!!!”

She screamed in horror, afraid they will be caught before they even drive out to safety, Regan chuckled and floored the car, he sped away.

She peered behind and saw that they are some meters away from her assailants, Regan slowed down a little, “Who are they?” he asked her.

Worry creased her face and her lips trembled a little “will you judge me?” she reposted, Regan glanced at her, and chuckled.

He was baffled, so he inquired, "why will I do that?”

She played with her fingers lowering her head “I…” her lips trembled “I stole some money from them, please, don't judge me, hear what I want to say before you do that”

She took a deep breath and her eyes teared up, “my mom is very sick, and

I don't know what to do, I have worked so hard, am just a finalist in College, and I could only manage part-time jobs to take care of the hospital bills”

Regan listened attentively “so, a friend of mine ask me to work in their club, I ran into considerable money that could end all my misery, so, I…”

She bit down her lower lip nervously, afraid that Regan will kick her out of the car.

Regan glanced at her and retracted his gaze to face the widescreen, “so, how come you are caught by that man?” he asked.

She chuckled “hey, that is a red-light district, he thinks I am one of them, but he was wrong” she said, and shrugged her shoulders.

He peaked in the rearview and saw some cars racing towards them, “we have a company” he informed her, and floored the gas.

He sped pass the green traffic light that is about to turn yellow, he diverted into another street, 'causing a traffic jam, and congestion of cars.

“Fuck you!” a driver yelled.

The girl watched in daze as he diverted and sped down the road like a world renowned racer, her chest heaves wildly, and her headache.

Regan escaped the chasing cars and slowed down, he turned to the frightened lady at the front seat “are you okay?” he inquired, she blinked her eyes without saying a word.

He stepped on the brake, and announced “we are here” he told her and came down from the car, she joined him afterwards, when she saw the name of the hospital and the edifice, she became dizzy once again.

“What are we doing here?” she asked, refusing to just stroll in “to treat” Regan retorted, frowning.

She shook her head, “I can't go in there, too expensive” she declared, and stood feet rooted.

Regan chuckled after understanding her worries “you don't have to worry about the payment, I have already done it, just come in with me” he told her, and entered the hospital.

She hesitated and joined him later, Regan helped her register, and she was allocated a ward, after covering her treatment,

he came to see her “I have already done the payment, I have to drive the car away, there will be reported car missing, you wouldn't want the car to be trace to you”

She nodded and exhales in relief, Regan stood on his feet and walked towards the door, “I don't know your name” she told him.

The both of them have been together for more than four hours, but she doesn't know her name, and it is dawn already.

“Regan” he replied without turning and went through the door, he drove the car away, and returned to the same hospital.

He walked into the hospital, and went directly to a nurse taking care of Diana, “how is she?” he asked her.

The nurse looked at him and remembered he was the one who was watching over Diana for some days, before he suddenly disappeared, she smiled.

“She is now in her ward, we will be discharging her soon, where have you been? She was so worried about you and unable to contact you, are you guys dating?”

She inquired to get a gist, Regan chuckled “not really” he answered tactically, and arrived at the ward that Diana was in.

He pushed open the door, and saw an obvious beauty staring at the door with a sad face, her eyes lit up, and a big smile crept on her flawless face.

She came down from her bed, and embraced him tightly, resting her head on the shoulder, she felt better “where have you been?” she inquired.

He patted her back and chuckled “you are doing good ain't you?” he teased, as the both of them sat in the hospital bed in the room.

She pouted “I was bored, and there was no one here for me to talk to” she revealed the reasons for her sadness, the both of them were chatting, when a knock came at the door.

“Come in” she permitted the person behind the door, the butler of the Westley family entered the ward, the smile on Diana's face vanished immediately.

Her heart started beating wildly, fear clouded her eyes “Miss, master said he loves you a lot” he told Diana, who immediately realized that he was trying to relay the Old Westley's death.

“No.” she wailed, Regan embraced her, and she wept in his arms.

When she calmed down a little, she was taken to see her grandfather, Olivier, and her fiancé, with the Mr. and Mrs. Henson with their only son Mikael were all there.

The moment they set her eyes on Diana, all of them were stunned, Philip blinked his eyes,

his eyes turned red when he compared Diana and Olivier, the beauty of Olivier could not be compared to that of Diana at all, she is just a piece of thrash if it is compared.

He felt his headache when he did the comparative, Olivier clung to him glaring at Diana, when her eyesight landed on Regan she became angrier, comparing Philip to the pretty man standing alongside Diana.

She felt like puking, she removed her arm clung to Philip and watched in daze, the both of them make everything around them look extremely adorable.
