Regan goaded the man which infuriated him, loosing his cool, he stood on his feet “Go away” he tried to push Regan away, but he stepped backward, and he stumbled to the concrete floor.
On-lookers around the area witnessing the blind man attacking Regan, he pulled himself from the concrete ground with flaring nose, the urge to rip Regan apart surged in him.
Regan glanced around casually, “your customers are looking at you” he informed him and started walking away, whistling.
The man pretending to be blind and playing quilter to make people lend him help, looked around, flustered, he picked up his quilter, and stuff the dollar notes into a bag, in a panic.
He tried to run away “hey, I thought you are a blind man” he heard a loud voice from random direction accused him.
Your father is blind, he scolded the owner of the voice in his head and ran away.
He looked back and saw someone chasing after him, “stop, stop!” the man urged him to stop running away.
Fuck you! He scolded the man in his head, and cursed his luck for running into Regan that night.
Regan strode in the street leisurely, enjoying the cool night breeze, he saw a lying on the floor, and a man with gun, pointing at her, she is scantily dress.
“Joe, I am sorry, I didn't mean to cheat on you” the woman cried out in plea, “fuck you! Jane, I love and gave you my heart, and my trust, you betrayed me by fucking my best friend, damn!” he rebutted angrily.
Regan leaned on the wall leisurely watching the two couples hauling words at each other “No, no, I am sorry, I wanted to avoid cheating on you, didn't know what came over me, I-”
“I would rather not hear any more words from your filthy mouth, whore!” the armed man yelled at her, his eyes bloodshot.
Regan yawned “why don't you divorce her, instead of trying to kill her, hope you are not a simp” he said, the man was alerted, he didn't notice Regan was leaning on the wall, all these while.
He pointed the gun at the retreating figure “what did you say?” he asked Regan, who paused briefly, and turned around “you heard me” he reposted and strode away casually with his hands in his pockets.
The man turned to the lady hauled on the floor with an angry facial expression, “I am done with this marriage” he said, and storm inside his house, slamming the entrance door loudly.
The lady on the floor hearing what he said, stood and dashed at the door agitated, she slammed on the door “Please, open up, Jo, I am sorry” she cried at the door.
Regan continued walking, he decided to sit before a lake, some minutes later, he tilted his head and saw a car pulled over, after some minutes, he saw a lady come out of the car.
He looked away, not long, the lady came to him “Hello, Sir, are you okay?” he heard her asked, he turned around, and the lady was stun.
Regan nodded “I am fine” he replied and looked towards the lake, the lady on her volition sat down with him “I am Janet” she said and stretched her hand.
Regan took it “Regan” he responded, the two sat quietly for some time before Janet spoke up “are you expecting someone?” she inquired.
“No” he responded instantly, Janet open and close her mouth, not knowing what to say, she decided to recline on the chair, and exhaled sharply.
Her heart twitched painfully “I want to talk to someone about my problems” she said loudly, more to herself, Regan glanced at her and returned to looking at the lake.
“I broke up with my boyfriend of many years today, and I don't even know what I did is even right” she said and chuckled, staring at her open sweaty palm a slip of tear dropped from her eye.
She smiled awfully “Well, then you did the right thing, not everyone decided to be loved, not everyone deserved a relationship,
we only have a life to live, and living it in regret shouldn't be the right thing we should be doing, love is happiness and pain, but a maximized pleasure”
Regan bare his heart with words to her and stood on his feet, he started walking away, the lady looked at him “Regan” she called out to him.
He paused briefly without looking back “thank you” Janet said, Regan shrugged his shoulders and left.
Some meters ahead there was a commotion, some tough-looking men surround a figure on the concrete floor “I didn't take Orange, I have nothing to do with it” a boy on the floor retorted, fearing for his life.
A man stood before him, with a lit cigarette emitting dangling smoke into the atmosphere, and three tough-looking men, with iron bars, holding their ground.
“Boss, we should force him to talk” one of his underlining requested “I never took it, Orange, I didn't, someone is trying to blackmail me” the boy on the concrete ground reiterated.
The man he referred to as Orange threw the cigarette to the floor and stepped on it, taking his time to crush the remnant of the cigarette, his eyebrows crunched, and his eyes narrowed at the figure on the floor.
With his deep baritone tone “you should be talking, boy, my patience is thin” he said with a threatening tone, the figure on the floor heart sank.
They looked up the moment they heard the thud, they squinted their eyes at the fallen can on the concrete floor, before they moved their eyesight towards the figure standing in the dark.
Regan came out of the dark “Sorry, did I disrupt anything?” he asked innocently, the man referred Orange underlining glared at him with chagrin.
“Boy, do you want to die? How dare you come close to disrupt my activity in my turf?” the man asked successively.
