***Seth POV:***

Great just fucking great. What were the odds that my best friend is matted to my brother's pup mama? Another love triangle that will cause a war that my brother would surely lose. Why Moon Goddess why I love my brother I don't want to kill him? My father would be turning in his grave again, we were the apples of his eye. And now one is Alpha, and one is a rogue. I don't see any way other than war. My brother won't stop looking for Sherry, he doesn't love her he just wants his pup.

Also, I am not sure I think he cares about the pup either judging from the way Sherry looked when Morton found her. How could my brother be so cruel as to harm a woman, especially one who is carrying his pup? Did losing Yvette and his place in the pack change him that much?

He could have hurt his pup. Our father taught us that our children are gifts from the Goddess. I can't keep his pup away from him it's forbidden. Lost in my thoughts until someone knocks on my door. I know it's Morton and Sherry, I told them I wanted them in my office first thing.

"Alpha", Morton said with a nod.
"Hello Alpha", Sherry said with a smile she looks better.
"The three of us need to talk about the situations at hand. I know my brother he won't stop until he gets her or the pup", I said,
"HE CAN'T HAVE HER", Dez growled. He is lucky he is my friend.
"Calm down friend. I did not say we will hand her over I am saying what we all don’t want to say. You know my brother will come for her and the pup”, I said.

"I don't understand how you two can talk about me and my baby like I am not sitting here. And for the record none of you have to worry about him coming to get me. Because I am leaving", Sherry said pissed off.
"You are not going anywhere", Morton said fighting Dez for control.
"And why the hell not? Look I thank you for taking me in and helping me but I have to go. Besides, I don't want to cause none of you any problems", she said.
"Morton, you didn't tell her", I said. I am shocked because Morton has been waiting for his mate for years and was happy to find her no matter the situation.
"No, I haven't had a chance to Seth", he said looking at me with pleading eyes. I know he wants to wait to tell her but he can't she needs to know.
"Tell me what?", Sherry asked.
"Sherry there is something I need to tell you. I was waiting for the right time to tell you but time is not on our side as it seems", Morton said holding her hands.
"Okay, go ahead and tell me", she said with a stern voice.

"I don't want you to leave because you are my mate", he said looking into her eyes.
"I....I never knew a wolf can be mated to a human", she said shocked.
"Well you are, and all I want to do is love and protect you. I don't care if you are carrying another man's pup, I will love it and you until my last breath and beyond", Morton said while on his knees.
"I know how sacred a mate having is to shifters. I will have to start all over with a baby if I was to leave and have to live with Stephan trying to find me", she said rubbing her stomach.
"Sherry whether you want to be Morton's mate or not you have a place and protection here. You can stay in the room you are in. Or I can put you in your own house, either way, you are welcome to stay", I said.
"I can't stay if it is going to cause problems between brothers", she said looking at me as Morton wipe off her tears.
"My brother and I had issues before you even were taken by him. Our issues started with another woman", I said with a sad smile.
"Is that woman Yvette?", she asked which shocked Morton and me.
"Yes, she was our best friend we both were in love with her. The three of us were inseparable we did everything together. Shit hit the fan when we found out she was and my mate", I said giving her a little back story.
"How do you know about her?", Morton asked.
"Every time he had sex with any of the women being captured he would say her name why he came", she said trying not to insult me.

"On another note. There is another issue at hand we have in this situation", Morton said changing the subject.
"And what is that", Sherry asked.
"Shifter law prohibits an Alpha to keep another shifter child from him", I say softly knowing she might lose her shit.
"What are you saying, Seth?", Sherry said leaning forward.
"I am saying I personally can't tell him he has no rights to the pup", I said.
"I am not understanding you, Seth", she said worriedly.
"What Seth is saying is that if Stephan would invoke his rights to the pup he would have no choice but to allow him to come and see him", Morton said.
"NO I WANT HIM NOWHERE NEAR MY BABY OR ME!", Sherry yells.

I had food brought to us. I know from personal experience that any woman that is pregnant by a shifter needs a shit load of carbs or she will be a hellraiser. Once she calmed down I explained to her that even though I can't legally stop him if he comes in peace to visit his pup she can.

She can stop him from seeing the pup. She will just have to let Morton mark her to become his mate. Shifter law states that any child born of the mating bond is to be considered the child of the woman's mate. Even if the child was conceived before the mate bond is established. She looked at me and Morton with a shocked expression.

"I know this is a lot to take in. How about you two talk it over", I say with an understanding tone.
"Thanks, Seth", Morton said as they left.

I know it is only a matter of time before Stephan shows up. Shit, he could be here right now and would not know about it. Why can't we go back to being brothers? I always hoped he would find his mate so that we could start to repair our relationship.
