Richard held on to her hand, he could feel the softness in her gentle touch, her hands were warm and was as soft as silk.
The smile on her face, very contagious, illuminating his heart, giving him some form of inner peace.
He stared into her glowing eyes, emotions sparking up again like there wasn't any before.
He kept staring at her, smiling at her, while she led him from the well decorated seat meant for him, to the dance floor where every other guest were dancing beautifully to the melodious music.
He grabbed her waist and dragged her closer to himself, looking into her eyes again, while she stared into his burning eyes.
They kept moving until Emily spoke up which then broke the silence between them.
"You never told me you have a brother?", Emily asked as she placed her hands on his shoulders, while his hands were still on her waist.
"Oh.. that.", He finally snapped and then answered her.
"Yeah! That..", she repeated his words as she smiled him again, rolling her eyes.
"Unfortunately.. yes.. I have a brother." He said as he put his two hands on her waist while she put her two hands on his shoulders, feeling the silky texture of his hair.
"But he's just so... Should I say... Uhmmm! ", Richard said as he thought of the right words to describe his brother, Leo.
".... unworthy.", Richard finally said as he remembered the right words to describe him.
Truly, he was unworthy, he didn't feel or act like royalty. He wore poorly made dresses, drinking his senses away to stupor and always being infatuated by his sexual desires.
"Yeah.. you know I can relate to that", Emily replied as they kept dancing smoothly.
"Really...?", Richard replied him with one if his eyebrows raised and a smile in his face.
"His breath smells like liquor.." she said as they both laughed at what she said
She wasn't wrong though, all through the time when she and Leo danced, his smile was quite devilish for her liking, and he had this smell of liquor oozing out of his mouth, but Emily kept on with a smiley face even while they were dancing, she was able to condone what she perceived, accompanied with his pride filled statement.
"He has this feeling... this sense of entitlement.. like he should be alpha of the blue moon pack. I'm only imagining the possiblity of that", Richard scoffed as he said out, his face turned to another direction with a slight frown on his face.
Emily saw the way he lost concentration in the dance and was rather focusing on something not worth attention.
She placed her hands on his cheeks, and brought it back to her face, and the whispered to him softly, "Tonight is your night, don't let the thoughts of your brother's words ruin the joy"
Richard couldn't explain to himself or to anyone how Emily's soft and gentle words always calmed his soul, how her touch and the texture of her voice always sparked up new emotions inside of him.
They kissed, as passionate as how they usually did behind their closed doors, but this time, in front of a large congregation of guests who arrived.
Everyone stopped as they looked and marvelled the kind of love which was clearly evident between Richard and Emily.
They kissed, without minding the views or the thoughts of the guests who kept staring at them.
When they broke the kiss finally, both Emily and Richard opened their eyes towards a large congregation of people clapping their hands, smiling and cheering them.
They looked at the crowds and into each other's eyes and then smiled at each other, turning back, they waved at the crowd who increased the sound of their claps and cheers in a locomotive manner.
"It's time to dedicate the boys... Are you ready?", Emily said to Richard as she brushed off some time dirt particles from his clothes and giving him an assuring smile.
"Yes..", he said as he held her hand and led her back to her seat.
He stood up bodly in front of everyone and then spoke out aloud, "Thank you.. and I hope you're enjoying the party!".
"Yes!..... Sure!! Yeah!!", Mixed voices from the congregation uttered out as some of them raised their glasses, while some of them smiled or nodded their heads in agreement to his statement.
"This celebration...", He began his speech as he cleared his throat.
"Was inspired by someone so dear to my heart. She believed this celebration would be thrown in honour of our two sons, whom the moon goddess had blessed us with.", He took a short break, there was a grave silence in the hall as every guest stood with their glasses of wines in their hands as they paid rapt attention.
He motioned on Agatha to step forward with Bryan and Nicholas, in order to present them to the guests who were present there.
"I've come here to present these sons of mine to the moon goddess, and to declare my first born as Alpha.", He said as he stretched out his hand to grab Nicholas.
"I've come here to present these sons....", The sound of alpha Richard's statement echoing towards the outer part of the hall.
The guards who stood at the garden, watching over it could hear Alpha Richard's statement loud and clear but they didn't remove their eyes from the garden.
The leaves from some small bushed made some rustling sounds as if the winds were tossing them around or a small animal was seeking for food in the roots.
"Did you hear something?", One of the guards asked the other who stood side by side with him.
"Nope..", the other guard answered as he shook his head but still held onto his sword firmly, ready to tear off anything or anyone making any suspicious moves.
They both stood their grounds, looking away from the small bush from which the sounds were coming from.
Like a bat out of hell, a figure emerged from the small bush and with his dagger in his right hand, he used his left hand to cover the mouth of one of the guards, bending his neck backwards and slitting his throat without any form of mercy.
Once the guards dead body dropped to the ground, the other guard who stood by his side heard the sound of his body dropping and then tried to start up a fight with him, but then the figure overpowered him, holding his head and turning his head sideways, turning the axis of his cervical vertebrae farther than it's supposed to go.
With the two guards down, the man dragged the two bodies with all his strength under the small bush.
