Chapter 14

"I will be fine Sir, do not worry. I can walk to my room alone." Junes lips let out those words after realizing that she had been calling her boss by his name. Her whole existence was in chaos just from getting the pain that was in her leg but again, she needed to act strong else, she would be considered a soft person.
Making an effort to get up on her feet once more, Junes' legs could not carry her and she was about to fall to. the ground again when Adams held her from behind and said,
"You are not in the position to walk so you better stop playing the strong girl June." From his tone, June could feel that Adams was already mad at her persistence intake the stairs to her room alone, and not having any control over her feelings, her eyes led out the tears that had been pending in them for some time, causing Adams world to collapse.
"June....." He called out his name as his sentiments took the greater part of him and just as he was about to voice out another word, Crystal who had been standing at one side of the living room, ped her both hands with a burst of dubious laughter following it behind.
"Wow, wow, wow. I should have known that a gold-digging bitch like you could not hold back her antics and dirty little flesh which is situated in between her legs, from getting other people's men, right?"
Crystal fired at June who was still sobbing in Adams's arms and from the sound of that, Crystal did not look like someone who was remorseful for the act that she had just committed.
"I had news that you have been cheating on me Adams but what I should have known was that you had to stoop so low as to cheat on me with this thing, this excuse of a human being Adams. How could you?" Crystal's tongue kept on wagging like some loose dog and deranged woman and while she was at it, that attitude of hers was something that Adams detested the most in his entire life.
"Sir, please put me down, I can manage to my room." June's voice showed how hurt she was but Adams, being the man of the house, told June to keep quiet else he was going to get mad at her. When he was done talking to June, Adams turned his cranium around and made sure that whatever he was going to say to her, would sink properly inside her head and will not come out in a hurry.
"Crystal, you come to my house unannounced and dare to hurt my staff? Have you gone nuts?"
"Yes, I have gone nuts Adams and it's all because of you. How could you do something like this to me? Huh?" She yelled out even more and Adams shook his head, he could see what a mad woman his mother was forcing him to end up his life with.
"Well Crystal, if you must know, this lady here is saner than you are so better to stop yelling."
June, was feeling uncomfortable with all that was happening and she began to twist her body in Adams's arms like a baby and that was a sign to let him know that she wanted to get off.
"So it has gotten to this now Adams? Do you now compare me with your maid who is also your sex toy? Tell him the truth and also be true to yourself. You can't ever be with her and you're there just for the cookie."
Her words were getting on June's nerves and all she could do was cry. Noticing that Judge was moaning, Adams could not stand there and be listening to Crystal's rubbish. So, without uttering a word more, he left Crystal over there to make her noise while he took June to her room.
On arriving in her room, June's lips moved together and the first thing that they said was for him to leave her on her bed and go away because she needed to be alone.
"June?" Adams exclaimed not wanting to leave especially in her state but June still keeping her calm, she told him to go and that she wanted to be alone. Insisting to stay, June turned her head on the bed and faced the wall making Adams to underhand the message more and to.
It was hurting for him but he had to respect her wish. So, telling her that he will be in her room and she could call out to him if she needed him to come to massage her legs, June gave him deaf ears and acted like there was nothing in there.
Adams left with a heavy heart to his room and while he got there he locked it from inside, whereas Crystal was downstairs waiting for her to come down so that they could continue with their argument. After a long wait, she understood that he was not coming back snf with the anger that was still boiling in her, she went upstairs to pick up a quarrel but all the met less a locked door and a silent room
Crystal's nerves could explode and without further hesitation, she began knocking on Adams's door as though she had time insane.
Funny as it was, Crystal had spent that night in the corridor waiting for Adams to open up the door which he never did, while June had cried out her eyes the whole night before finally finding some sleep, hoping that the next day will be better than what she had lived.
The light rays of the morning sun came rushing through the dark blue curtains in Adams' room and with a little sigh, she released a light breath from his mouth.
Adams had a quick bath, brushed his teeth, and slipped into his sweatpants. Picking a white t-shirt he wore it nicely and made it to the room.
He started walking towards June's room, he had to talk with her, to yell at her. Without knocking. He opened the door yelling already.
"June, when I am done with you, I bet you would be so sorry..." he shut out, and then closing the door with full force, he started panting.
"Holy fuck!" he said behind the door.
He had just found June half-naked, she had only her bra on with her attire semi-done on her neck.
He waited for one minute before he knocked and then entered the room. June's eyes bore weirdly into his.
"Oh wow! you finally know how to knock on a door properly," she muttered faintly.
That was so damn provocative and Adams didn't know if he should stomp to the lady's side and demand an apology for being blunt or just stick to where he is. With a second thou thought bought the idea and managed to stick to himself.
"I am sorry," Adams started but was bluntly cut short.
"Sorry for having me as a maid, or for walking in on me being half-naked?" June questioned her lips curled quizzically upwards.
The young man was having trouble answering it, he knew he had made a huge mistake by stomping into a lady's room without knocking, but the biggest mistake she has made is having to hear her talk and knowing that it is the truth in its finest form.
"Just shut up, June, you wouldn't talk to me like that, besides, I've apologized already," he said firmly.
"So I see," the young lady responded.
She was given Adams a tough time, she hated that, but more than that, she wished this would get any better, it might be, but whenever she is trying to assess anything by herself, she heaved a gentle sigh and it made her heart warm up so kindly.
Adams walked towards June's side with two long strides, it made it quite difficult to breathe but June wasn't getting it better by letting this man advance towards her.
"If you do not mind, Sir, I have the house to clean and other things to do," she said and started walking towards the door.
June stopped when she bumped unceremoniously onto Adams' chest and hit her head hard there.
"Like seriously, Sir?" she said firmly standing on her grounds.
Adams was loving it, he didn't smile, of course not, he let his hard countenance play foul against her, she was going to get, thus, where his pleasures are going to come out from.
"I'm not done talking to you, so don't you dare walk out on me," Adams said.
He was too close to June, her intoxicated fragrance waffled her nostrils, she truly was enjoying this, but just acted plainly, as if he didn't care. He truly did care but it was against his self-code of manly honor to prove it to June.
Deep down in Adams' heart, he knew she might have been falling in love with herself, that was quite awkward, but he was quite getting there himself.
"Speak, I have work to do," June said.
Adams was stroked with confusion, his eyes blinked with wonder as he pierced his attention closer, that was the most ridiculous thing that might have occurred but then, his response shook her wildly.
"You work for me, June, so I am the boss," he said firmly, a little aggressively, but enough to pass his judgment.
