Chapter 8
Finally, he had his dreams come true everyone at knew his own were getting he had verbally invited wall his classmates and teachers before the day.
When she came to pick him up from school all she heard were here and there and when she asked her son how they knew the now blurted saying.
He couldn't hide his excited so he has fold everyone in his smile she asked him if he had food and drinks do entertain his guests and he told his mother he would use his savings to help with the preparations.
If they didn't have money he was going to buy for his guest so they all eat and drink and be happy and are wondered when her little boy had grown so fast she couldn't believe it how grown up he had become just a few years back she was holding his tiny body her hands rocking him and not wanting him tonne hurt but here the was her bundle of happiness taking care of her now more than even she was taking care of him she was excited God had blesssx her with such a wonderful son ans wouldnt wish anything.
"So if we use your savings what then do I use for your next year?" she asked wanting to hear his answer.
"They would provide for us, our teacher told us that the head of the family was the father and that he took care of everything that had to he took care of with the help of his wife and you are going to be daddy's wife so you both would think of a way to figure it out".
he said concentrating on his you which always never left the car he loved playing with it when he entered the cat it was like his medicine so he would always be with it and hold it right without letting go he had a sentimental value to it and hearing everything that he had said his mother shook her head and kept it within her he had spoken like an adult and she was baffled if this child wasn't an old man in another country.
When they got home she helped him out of the car and closed his door while holding his school bag and water bottle he washes his hands and directly went to who was at her cot playing he gave her cheek kisses before he ran upstairs to change.
Then went to his grandmother room she was having her afternoon nap so he gave her a big kiss before running downstairs to go eat the lunch his mother had prepared for him was at the shop so his grandma was the one after lunch he went on to do his normal routine after school.
Then came to play a little with him before his mother told him she was going to the shop to meet Jessica but not without telling her mother so she knew she has a handful of grandbabies downstairs who were waiting for her to be awake came down stairs and just heard everything.
Her grandson was explaining to her as she laughed and gave her mum a goodbye gig before she left the house and went into her car and drove off do the bakery and for him he was at the bakery already in the kitchen mixing new dough for dougnuts so they could send it to a. customer who always bought doughnuts for the weekend.
He called reminding her of her dress fitting for the at 5 pm to which she had to rush down to she had forgotten that she had an appointment with the wedding dress house.
This preparation was draining her not financially because oh well she wanted to do everything but physically it was draining how she has to taste the wine, the shoes, the dress for the after-party, and her actual wedding dress, just to name a few these rich people things there were times she even had to beg her mother on in law to be to cut down on expenses because the woman was extravagant but who would blame her she was used to affluence her and would not go lower than that even if her life depended on it.
She just wanted to make her wife happy she had told that the things she didn't have when she was getting when the things she was going to give her at her wedding so it would be a memorable day and people would talk about it for a long time even after some years.
Well, they could count on that since they were a family who was always in the limelight in tabloids and everything that went on in their lives was documented why wouldn't it be when he was once the most wanted bachelor of every girl aaa head over heels and would want to have him to herself at the wink of an eye it was wonderful that after all the years of bugging her son to had he had proven her wrong and had done it his way though she had said she didn't want someone with their affluence standard it just showed that opposite could attract and one person was needed fo make the other person a better version of himself irrespective of where and the time and day they found themselves.
She had never told him but she was glad he had chosen her to be his bride she was the perfect option for him and from all indications, they were yet to be used with each other the way they looked at each other the way they way just their eyes spoke volumes for them one could boldly say this was the start of a lifelong journey which have it's topsy turvy turns but then again they were going to survive is if they could survive what life had thrown on them some time back what was now that they couldn't conquer.
He was watching the famous mister bean on boomerang with his own whilst both their mothers were trying to clean the house it was a Saturday and although those days were kind of busy for them today they decided to take a break and just focus ok cleaning the house and making everywhere smell nice and fresh and it was a form of relaxation too for her to have to arrange her things too her room was a little mess from all the searching for a dress when she wanted to go out.
While they were cleaning they heard the doorbell ring and she ran to open up the door they were not expecting anyone for the day so she peeped through the hole and saw that it was her mother and she became tensed sensing that she was not comfortable she came out of the kitchen area where she was cleaning the cabinet and asked what was wrong the girl pointed to the door.
"Is it a thief with a gun, did you do something why are you scared?" she asked her yet to open the door.
"It's my parents and of my baby," she said with fright in her eyes she looked like she was going to very anytime soon.
"Do you want to see them?" she asked but she shook her head no saying she did not want to have to talk to them ever because they had forgotten about her when she needed them all at the point where she was at her lowest.
Doorbell!!!
"You do realize you would have to see and talk to them sooner than you want to right?" she asked her again.
Doorbell!!!
"They're at my door porch and the least I could do is let them in or ask them what they want" She tried reasoning with her so she told her it was okay to open the door and see them but she want to go with them anywhere and Morgan assured her that no one was going to take her so long as she was with unless she wanted to go with them willingly.
Opening the door with a smile on her face she was welcomed by some grumpy looking parents who did not know the damage they had caused their daughter they looked arrogant and unrepentant now she knew why Meagan didn't want to meet them in the first place because they were crude people and they just wanted to be included in their daughter's life because she was seemingly doing we for herself and so they wanted to be included and gain from her.
Moreover behave as though I am not standing in front of you terrorising my daughter now you would carry your legs as far as they can take you and forget you ever have a daughter interjected before they could say anything more, she showed them to the door and told them never to return these unless they were coming to be remorseful for what they had done because to her they didn't exist anymore and it was going to be that way and she also told her baby daddy not to think the baby in his hand would ever hear anything about him because he was dead to her and to the baby as welll.
That was when it began to dawn on them that what the child's father had told them were all lies and they couldn't believe they had chosen his side than taking their daughter's side her father was about to say something but she hushed him and told him they should be gone before she called the police when the door was shut she went down on her knees and began crying she couldn't believe her parents took him her baby's fathers side rather than listening to her and now they were back claiming all ownership on her and her baby she wasn't going to have that seated on the carpeted floor consoling her for what seemed like hours but it was just a few minutes they had been there to ease the tension that had built up she decided they could go for a stroll to the shopping mall and get whatever she wanted to do as to calm her down so they finished cleaning and took their showers and left the kids with their grandmother before they went for shopping.
She had never known shopping could be a great remedy to stress but as she walk down the aisle picking things for the babies at home she remembered her had called her a daughter and she couldn't be more grateful to have someone who not only loved her and but the care of her but she knew she had a new family who takes care of her baby even if she was not around to take care of her she felt blessed and would not trade them for anything in the world.
She looked at her who had finished paying the bills for their shopping and on impulse she hugged her right and though she understood what she was going through she doesn't want to be too emotional just an aside from the normal agenda of getting dresses at the shop and other things she offered for them to go check with the caterers of the wedding.
Just to be sure everything was on point before there she called him to know-how his day was going and told him of the events of going early day and he was pleased that no one was hurt more so he had become fond of her and told her it was a great thing she had stood up for her the way she did.
