Chapter Twenty Three

Emilia's POV:

Well now that's over... the exam i mean, i'm finally free... well not really, i still have a few other assignments and what not, i didn't expect any different from being in senior year. I seriously can't wait to the weekend, the road trip. Something i'm actually looking forwards to, and i get to do something i absolutely love, which is taking photography.

Right now i'm in science, with Leon. Mr Cruz, gave us a prac assignment to do which was to make some sort of fireworks using the bunsen burner. Well that was until Leon decided to be stupid and play with the matches while being a flirt like his usual routine with all girls,

"You know we can make chemistry without any of this stuff." he tells me with a wink and i roll my eyes, he's not only been saying that to me but to other girls and they just blush like crazy,

"Leon, how many times have you said that this week? not only to me but to others and you know what i find weird is that you have been hanging out alot with a certain someone." i nudged his arm and added a wink,

"W-what are you talking about?" he chuckles and i just glare with a smirk,

"Right, like i'm soo going to believe that." i say sarcastically, he knows damn well who i'm talking about,

"Yea right, so what if i have?" he says chuckling then suddenly stops and whispers, "wait, has she said something about me?" he asks and i smirk in victory, he totally fell for that,

"Actually she has," i said sadly, he paled and his expression dropped, and i burst out laughing making a few people look at me like i'm crazy, and Leon just stared at me without a blink, "you actually fell for that." i laughed again, "got you." i say with a smirk,

"Damn you!!" he says annoyed, and i could tell he was embarrassed,

"Well honestly in my opinion, your just interested in her in general. And i'm not going to say anything since since it's against friendship code but i'm sure your falling for her as much as you want to deny it." i tell him, although i'm not exactly sure myself when i said friendship code, i guess i'm really not good with words,

"I'm not admitting anything, me and Phoebe are just friends. Honestly." he tells me and i notice a slight pink tinge on his cheeks,

Yea right, 'just friends' that's just bizarre. I honestly think he's just doesn't want to ruin his rep or he's falling for her and won't say anything.

Well road trip plus Phebs and Leon means time to play cupid. They obviously like each other and i'm starting to think that they are both hiding something. So maybe i should help out, a touch.

"Anyways, you looking forward to the road trip?" i ask but before i get an answer the bell goes,

Rinnnnggggggggggg,

"Sorry, i have to go. See you at lunch." he says hurrying out of the classroom.

That just has suspicious written all over it.

"Ok... cya later." i mumble, knowing he wouldn't hear me and just headed to my locker.

At lunch we all hang out, including Leon. We were talking about the road trip seeming we were all excited.

"Why don't we leave tomorrow? we can stay at my mom's lake cabin for the night and we can head towards Jace's surprise spot." Leon says and i raise a brow,

"And how would you know that the cabin is in the way were heading?" i ask, and he smirks and i look to Jace smirking to. Put two and two together, "YOU TOLD HIM!!" i yell, "AND YOU NEVER TOLD ME!!" i turned my head the other way, avoiding looking at any of them, i crossed my arms over with a humh.

"Babe, it's fi..."

"What did i tell you about calling me babe, i'm not a pig." i snapped, clearly annoyed. I guess i'm still snappy blame the curse.

"Sorry sweet cheeks." he whispered in my ear, letting his lips linger above my ear.

I felt another presence beside me and froze once they hugged me,

"Em, i want to surprise you that's why i told them. No need to get angry." Jace whispers sincerely,

"I hate surprises." i grumble, and they all laugh lightly,

"Well you will love this one, i promise." he tells me and i just roll my eyes,

"Well i guess i can wait another day." i tell them thinking about it, i guess it can. I'm not really a big fan of surprises but you know,

"Right so now that's settled... we can leave straight after school tomorrow. Agree?" Leon buts in,

"Agreed." we all say.

The final bell rang, which means we finally get to go home. About time. Now i'm just heading home with Ava and Phebs, to pack my bag for the weekend ahead. Once we finally arrive at my house we head straight up to my room, Ava heads straight to the closet while i grab the bags from storage downstairs. Phebs just sat quietly on my bed. As i walk back in my room with the bags i freeze at what i saw,

The package that was full of condoms and pregnancy tests and a wide eyed Ava and Phoebe.

"Guys its not what it looks like." I tell them panic laced in my tone, and Ava waves the note in the air,

Damn i should have hid it someplace else. I temporarily forgot about it until now.

"Duh..." she pauses dramatically and then yells "WHO THE HELL WOULD WRITE SUCH A THING!! NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE CALLS YOU A WHORE AND GETS AWAY WITH IT. ONCE I GET MY HANDS ON THIS STUPID BITCH..."

"Does Dylan know?" Phebs cut in and i shake my head,

"No and i don't plan on telling him either, so please both of you don't say anything." i tell them both and Ava looks so angry she is fuming. "Ava please calm down, it's nothing really. I can handle it." i tell her calmly, and she shakes her head,

"No, this is not nothing!" she snapped, pacing the room, "no this is... is. Listen Emilia, someone is trying to ruin you and i'm not going to let that happen. We," she said gesturing to Phebs, "are not going to let this happen to our best friend,"

Best friend, no one has ever called me that.

"You consider me your best friend." i said in a small voice, sounding weak,

"Yes," they said together,

Phebs got up and hugged me along with Ava,

"Yes you are our best friend, us three are practically sisters Em. I know you had a hard time trusting us and i'm guessing you still do due to your past, but we are and nothing can change that, ok. And whoever this bitch is that thinks they can get away with it is wrong because they can't and we are going to find out who they are. You are definitely not a whore whoever sent that is most probably a whore herself that is just jealous." she told me in all honesty and a smile appeared on my face,

My eyes started to water in happiness, i never knew that's what they thought of me. As their sister,

"She's right Em..." she tells me studying my face and a frown appears at her lips, "why are you crying?" she asks sadness in her tone,

"Because i never knew you guys thought of me like that and the fact that you do makes me happy." i smile, "But girls really, don't worry about that stupid package, really. I can handle it but please please, don't tell Dylan or any of the guys. I don't want them to make a fuss over nothing." i pleaded, and Ava takes a breath and nods,

"Fine, i promise but you have to tell him soon enough ok, he would want to know this stuff even if you guys are just dating." she smiles slightly,

"Ok TIME TO PACK!!" Phebs shouted enthusiastically and i laughed,

I plugged in my phone to the dock and 'booty wurk' by T-pain came on and i started dancing to the rhythm along with the girls while packing at the same time and then the chorus came on and we all started moving our butts to the beat and singing to the lyrics,

We were all laughing afterwards, yes it's an old song but it's a fairly awesome one. We were dancing and belting out lyrics to each song that came on, we done most of my packing by then and i was just twirling around in my room, grabbing all toiletries needed and packed them in a small bag. Just having fun with the girls that i shall now call my sisters i suppose but that's a good thing. I'm finally able to see light out of the dark tunnel just hoping it doesn't turn dark all over again, but i don't think these girls will turn on me, they don't seem like that but then again looks can be deceiving.

'Walking on Air' by Anise K came on and Ava grabbed my arm pulling me in the middle of my room with Phebs dancing like were at a night club, doing dips, spins, letting the music take over my body and danced forgetting everything and just having fun.

Morning came by sooner than we thought, well having fun just helped the night move faster cause we all fell asleep on the floor in my room. I woke up to have a leg sprawled over my body and a hand on my face. Weird, i know. I moved the leg that belonged to Phebs and moved the hand from my face and left them sleeping peacefully while i got dressed quickly and quietly, grabbing my top that covers my butt, which was black and had a girl on the front with red lipstick pouting and her eyes are covered with the label 'rebel hearts', i also grabbed my black leggings and my fairly new black converse, yes my mother brought me a new pair saying my other ones needed to be tossed out. I put my hair in a high messy bun with a bump on the top of my head, that used a whole lot of hairspray to keep it in place and added a red bandana to complete the look.

I headed downstairs to make breakfast and look in the fridge to find absolutely no food... well maybe that's an exaggeration, lets make this clearer... there's food but nothing i would eat. Well i won't be here for the weekend anyways. I hear yawning and look towards a sleepy Phebs,

"Morning," i say with a small smile and she waves,

"Morning." she says taking a seat at the bar stools, "you look good," she managed out with another yawn,

"Thanks, no too bad yourself." i winked with a small laugh,

"Well if you call my bed hair not bad then it must be bad," she laughed, and i just shook my head, cause her bed hair actually looks good,

"Well i'm sure one particular person would say otherwise," i smirked and she snapped her head towards my direction,

"W-what are you talking about?" she asks,

Exactly what he said.

"Oh you know. Anyways, you might want to go get dressed and also get Ava up, we have school in thirty minutes." i tell her and she nods sleepily and heads upstairs.

"Ava, Aiden, Dylan, Emilia in one car. Phebs, Leon and Me in another and Cory, Hunter in the last car. Clear." Jace instructs us and Ava shakes her head,

"No, i was actually going to go with Cory and Hunter with Aiden." Ava says nudging Aiden,

"We were?" he asks and she glares, "oh yea we were." he quickly fixes his confused expression with a smile,

"Okay. Well now that's settled everyone follow my car. Here's the address to the cabin and we'll see each other there. Good to go." he says and everyone nods,

"Ok, good, lets go people!!" Dylan says excited, fist pumping the air and grabbing hold of my hand which made a blush make its way to my cheeks.

We hopped into Dylan's jeep and he typed the address into the GPS and we were off. We had Coco stay with Jace's family until we came back, since he said his little sister loves puppy's and she will be willing to take care of her while where gone, i didn't even know he had a sister but then again i don't know much about any of them, just bits and piece's.

"You know Ava set that up so we end up alone." he smiles and that made me smile,

"I figured that much, but you wanna help me out with something?" i ask, hoping he will,

"Depending what it is." he says with a cheeky smile,

"Well, you figured out who Leon likes right?" i ask, and he quickly glances in my direction with a raised brow, and goes back to concentrating on the road,

"What are you talking about?" he asks, oh he is so delusional most guys are, but that's what i love about Dylan... wait did i just say love, of course i did, i'm under his love spell,

"Dyl i think it's better you figure it out on your own then. Forget i said anything." i tell him, and his expression turns to confused but shrugs it off. I think it is better off if he figures out on his own because if i spill... i don't know, Aiden is Phebs bro and i don't think she wants him to know let alone me, and then there is Leon, he probably dosen't want the guys to know.

I heard 'Shower' by Becky G come on the radio and i turned it up, singing along to the lyrics. And these lyrics apply to me, Dylan makes me sing in the shower from all the happiness i have being with him. I see Dylan smiling in the corner of my eyes, and i'm definitely falling harder for him every time i see him smile or hear his laugh.

I definitely think this bad boy has got me under his spell.
