Chapter Eight

Emilia's POV:

I open the door and standing there were Phoebe, Ava and Aiden. Phoebe just starts blushing like crazy when she saw my brother,

"Who's this sexy guy?" Ava nudges me, I turn to see that my brother's cheeks are now a touch pinker, "Your boyfriend?" she winks. I think I just puked in my mouth,

"EWW!! No he's my brother!! Gross!!" I exclaim. Phebs and Avs just laugh at my reaction,

"Is he single?" Phebs asks in a joking matter as if he isn't standing right beside me,

"No, I have a girlfriend. Sorry ladies." Ash tells the girls with a smile, his cheeks still slightly pink.

"Hey, I'm Aiden." Aiden then fist pumps my brother. It looks like he made a new friend,

"Sup, I'm Ashton but you can call me Ash." he tells them. Ash's eyes then flick to mine, "I'll see you later sis." he says giving me a hug and a kiss on the cheek before leaving the house, "Bye guys!" he calls over his shoulder.

Thirty minutes later, everyone arrives here, playing with my baby Coco. Avs and Phebs thought she was the most adorable thing and Coco kept jumping up and down in a playful matter. Hunter had questioned me about what happened but I just told him to wait. I need to prepare myself for this especially since they all think I'm some smart nerd but they need to hear the truth but shouldn't I tell Dylan first, well were not dating so no. Jace and me talk while the others talk amongst themselves, playing with Coco and playing games on my xbox, the boys were more interested in playing Grand Theft Auto, one of my brothers games, although I secretly played them but I doubt he'd care if I did play them, he didn't live here anymore.

"Jace, do you think Dylan like... hates me? You know by how he's acting and what not."

Why the hell did I just ask that? Argh, Emilia you are so stupid. You don't like him, we don't like him. My inner voice scolds,

"Emilia, Dylan is just acting on instincts. Like I told you the other day, it sounds like he's jealous. But I don't know for sure." Then he smirks, "Why don't you 'fake date' someone to test if he is. But the question is would you go through that just for Dylan?"

I think about it, thinking this could work.

"I'm just letting you know Jace, that I don't like Dylan. Just in case I'm giving you the wrong impression." I tell him.

"But you don't know what he's feeling. I'm his friend but don't forget Dylan is a player and your the first girl that actually rejected him... wait, you did reject him right?" he asks looking worried,

"Well Dylan did kinda kiss me and said he was going to make me fall for him. But I did tell him that I don't fall for players." Jace looks relieved.

"Ok, well anyways you basically did reject him. So in other words he's going to try even harder to make you fall for him. I guess this is one way just to prove my point of him being jealous."

"Who's jealous?" asks a curious Ava, I guess Av is a curious one.

"Dylan." Jace says and her look turns from happy to a knowing look that was sent to Phebs,

"Ok, so what are you hiding?" I ask her with a small smile,

"Huh, what? Oh sorry, um I'm not hiding anything what are you talking about," she acts dumb but there was obviously something, I could tell.

"Phebs?" I ask her and she looks guilty, and gave Ava a look of... sorry,

"Em, I think your going to need to keep this to yourself if I tell you." Phebs says and I could see Ava giving her glares,

"Don't, you don't even know if it's true!!"

Suddenly the whole room was silent and everyone was just watching the commotion,

"Ok, so tell me," she gave me a small smile,

"Sorry Avs, Em Dylan kinda... well how do I put this, he kinda looks at you in a non-friend way, or well that's how I see it and Av here has also noticed."

"I'm sorry, what!!" I was totally confused right now,

"Dylan is a player as you know, and as his friends we understand why he does what he does... you basically rejected him and he never gets rejected, but for some odd reason he has a interest in you. Not that I'm saying having an interest in you is bad cause you are an awesome person, I don't know why Layla and her minions hate you." She smiles, "Do you know why Layla and her minions have finally backed off you?" she asks with a questioning look,

Thinking about it, yea Layla and her minions have stayed away from me. Even Dylan's sister Faye have stayed off my back, which is weird, they can't even stay a day without taunting me.

"Have you realised how Dylan was always... 'with' them this last week. Dylan practically hates Layla's annoying voice and Sara's annoying laugh but he puts up with them," she sadly smiles and mumbles the last part, "for your sake."

I gasp, "Hahaa, what are you talking about Phebs. This is a joke right?" I ask, humor in my tone, looking at all of them in the eyes, non of them were laughing, "right?" I ask real confused,

Aiden looks to Phebs, "I'm sorry Em but me and Hunter overheard a conversation between Dylan and Layla. But I'm just letting you know now I don't know what Dylan's intentions are." Aiden tells me sadly,

"Dylan asked Layla if she could back off and leave you alone." he looks to Aiden and he nods, "Only thing was he had to... you know." Hunter explains, and my eyes widen. WhatTheFudge!!

"Em, I just want to let you know before you say anything, Dylan has asked about you this week, we asked why, but he just replied with 'just asking'. Hunter and Aiden only found out a few days ago about the deal or whatever you would call it. Dylan doesn't know we know yet, so can we keep this to ourselves for now." Jace tells me, and I think I need to cool down.

What is happening, this has to be a dream right, cause a totally hot bad boy like Dylan would never have an interest in me, the goody two shoes and the school's half nerd as I like to call it. More like a bookworm since my head is always in romance novels about badboys being with good girls, and werewolf's being with their mates. But this out of all things, I start feeling a little dizzy but I think it was from shock,

"Ok, this is a dream and I'm going to wake up any minute." I pinch my arm trying to wake up but nothing, damn it. "Look since this isn't a dream, I-I decide to believe you guys..." I tell them as I fade into darkness and saw nothing but black.

Dylan's POV:

Today there was suppose to be one of the biggest party's of all time on. It was at one of the boys that left last year's house, his name is Eric. Eric was one of my good friends and he always told me where the best party's were. I invited the group but they said they were busy, but tonight I was also abit distracted on what I did to Emilia yesterday, I don't think she would want to see me any time soon, but I need to apologize. I walk down to where her house was since I only live a few streets away, as I walk up the driveway I heard yelling, someone repeating her name and that's when I ran to the door and seeming I knew no one would answer the door I brake the window next to the door, and climb in.

"Emilia, Em..."

"What the hell? Dylan did you just brake the window?" Cory asks, looking frightened,

"It's not the first time," I tell them, immediately looking for her, and I did see her on the floor blacked out, "What happened to her?" I ask them worried but since the girls were too busy trying to get Emilia back, Jace was also helping them out.

"Av, I'm taking her to the hospital. She'll be fine, calm down." Jace told the girls who had a few tears leaking out of their eyes,

"She blacked out." Hunter tells me looking worried and panicky.

Jace quickly picks her up and races to his car with her bridal style in his arms.

That should be me. My inner voice says,

"How long has she been out?" I ask, worry clear in my tone.

"Not long, but we were going to take her to a hospital. We think that it's maybe nothing but, never mind this now, we gotta go." Cory explains and I panick.

"No, i'm coming with you." I tell them, but Cory shakes his head,

"I think it's better off if you go home Dylan."

"No, I want to go." I say through gritted teeth.

"NO!!" Cory yells, "Look it's only Jace and Aiden going."

"What!! I'm not staying here, Cory please let me go I need to see if she's ok, she's my friend." Ava pleads, he shakes his head,

"I agree with Av, please let us go," Phebs tells Cory but again he shakes his head, The girls were still crying,

"Not all of us should go, we'll just wait here and they'll call us if anything's wrong, right?" Cory says and looks to Jace and Aiden,

"Right, and plus someone has to look after Coco." Jace tells us, and gets in the passenger seat.

"And someone needs to call Ash and tell him!" Aiden adds, and hops in the drivers seat and drives off.

Who the hell is Ash?!?

"I'll go call him now and explain to him what has happened!" Phoebe says and runs off in the house still crying, she must be really worried.

"I'll go too." Ava says and quickly runs after her friend.

After about ten minutes of pacing up and down her lounge room Hunter finally spoke up,

"Why are you so worried about Emilia, and another thing why are you here?" he asked,

"Why am i so worried? i'm worried because she's my friend!!" i yelled, "what do you mean why am i here, the question should be why are all of you here, 7 at night. Huh? When i asked if you guys wanted to go to Eric's you said that you were busy, and your here!!" I said through gritted teeth and just as i said that the girls walked back in with tear stained faces,

Hunter looked over to Cory who looked over to Phoebe who looked to Ava,

"What's going on, did they call to tell us something?" Ava asked,

"No, i asked why are all of you here 7 at night." i repeated the question and the girls looked at each other but didn't say anything, and neither did the boys, "Is someone going to tell me or not!!" my voice raising with each word i said,

"Well, we are here because we are her friends being nice on a saturday night!! Issue?" Cory asked,

Of course they are hiding something from me,

"Yea, actually ther..." i got cut off by Hunter,

"What's this thing about a deal with Layla, huh? what do you want with Emilia?" he asked sounding pissed,

How did they find that out!! I only did it so the bitch doesn't hurt Emilia, although i hurt her alot more than Layla did by what i did,

"W-w-h-how d-did you find out?" I stuttered out and they would figure out if i'm lying were good friends, they know me too well,

"That doesn't matter..."

'Your a troublemaker, your a troublemaker,' Suddenly someone's phone started ringing, and Phoebe got her phone out and answered it,

"Hello?" she asked "What...Ok...i'll tell them...ok, bye...talk soon." Phoebe hung up,

"She's awake,"

Jace's POV: When they arrived at the hospital!!

Me and Aiden quickly arrived at the hospital and i got Emilia out of the car and we both ran up to the emergency desk,

"Hi, how may i help you?" the lady asked politely,

"Hi, my friend here has blacked out and we don't know what happened." Aiden told her, in panic.

"Is her pulse normal rate?" the lady asks and I put my two fingers on her wrist and count her pulse,

"Her pulse is under forty per minute." I tell her, starting to worry about her,

"DOCTOR!! WE NEED A DOCTOR!!" the lady yelled and a doctor came in the room with a few nurses and a hospital bed, i quickly put her and the bed and started following them,

"I'm sorry, but your going to have to wait out here!!" she told us and quickly went off with the nurses that took Emilia,

"She's going to be alright, Emilia is a strong girl." Aiden assured, but still looked worried,

"I hope your right Aiden," i told him and went to take a seat,

About fifteen minutes later, Ash came running through the doors and Aiden quickly got up and greeted him,

"Ash!!" Aiden called, and Ash looked at us and rushed over,

"What's happened to my sister?" he asked really panicked, he looked worse than us,

"We don't know anything yet, but she fainted back at the house it was around 6:45 when she did and we quickly rushed her here, we told the others to stay at the house." Aiden told him, and suddenly the doctor came over to us,

"Are you the patients family?" she asked,

"Yes, i'm her brother. Is she ok?" Ash asked and she nodded,

"Yes, she is fine. I think she might have been alittle stressed lately, common things like getting stressed is a cause for fainting. Can i please ask for you to tell us her name and age? sorry i should have asked for that first"

"Emilia Josephine, she is 16" Ash told her and she nodded,

"Ok well i'm guessing a senior student?" We all nodded, "Maybe she's under alot of stress at school,"

"Yea, she was kinda worried cause she has to get tutored for math to complete senior year!!" i told them,

"This is the first i've heard of this." Ash said and i turned to him,

"She didn't really tell any of us, she only told me, Phoebe and Ava." I told them,

"Ok, so anyway's can we see her?" Aiden asked,

"Yea, she just resting, but just be very careful not to wake her, let her wake up on her own." she said and told us to follow her up to Emilia's room.

Once we arrived there, we thought we should let Ash go in there first since it's his baby sister, soon later me and Aiden entered the room, and she started shifting on the bed abit.

"Shh" Ash said followed by a finger to his lips like we were in kindy. He was seated by her on a seat next to her bed. I grabbed a chair to sit on and sat down next to Ash, "Thanks for bringing her her, i really appreciate it," he told us and i nodded along with Aiden,

"I'm Jace by the way, i don't think we've met." i told him and he gladly put his hand out for me to shake and i did,

"Ash," he smiled, "thanks again, i bet you guys didn't get to do much aye." he asked,

"Us guys were playing xbox while the girls were playing with Coco, and Jace was talking to Emilia,"

"Yea, but.." i looked over at Aiden and he nodded saying i should tell him,

I explained what happened with Dylan this past week and how i think that he is jealous of Emilia. And when the girls explained how Dylan might feel something more than friendship, and i explained my theory of having a 'fake' boyfriend to prove my point and he nodded in understanding.

"I think i might have the guy that is willing to play the part but i have to ask him first." Ash nodded,

"I thought you would have like... i don't know be possessive over her since she is your little sister and opposed the idea all together," i told him, supprised

"Well yea i kinda am, but wouldn't you want to get Dylan back for what he did. As long as Emilia's ok with this, i'm with use."

Soon later Emilia shifted in her spot again and her eyes fluttered open and the machine's started beeping like crazy,

Aiden quickly left the room and must have rang everyone back at the house since he had his phone to his ear.
