Chapter Twenty Eight
Emilia's POV:
Waking up in the arms of your boyfriend is one of the best things ever. Arm wrapped tightly around your waist, his head snuggled into your neck, legs tangled together. Yea well that is what happened to me but the blankets are hogged to his side of the bed and I was freezing cold apart from where his arm is around my waist and his body touching my back, but yea I'm cold even with sweatpants and a long sleeve shirt on. Dylan is snuggled warmly in our blankets on a freezing cold morning in England, great. Uhum well I grip the blanket and tug it back to my side trying to go back to sleep but my oh so amazing boyfriend once again tugs on the blanket making it go back to his side.
"Dylan." I say slowly and carefully in a tired tone, all I get is his mumbling, "I would like my blankets back please." I say in the same tone and he just mumbles again. Time for my oh so amazing strategy. I swing my legs over the edge of the bed and sit up only to be pulled back down by Dylan's arm,
"Where are you going?" Dylan says in his groggy voice, and I just manage to let a yawn pass my lips,
"To get a blanket and some breakfast." I say yawning again, Dylan looks down at my body and his then lets a sheepish smile reach his lips,
"Sorry sweetie, I do that while sleeping sometimes." he says sincerely in his groggy tone and I smile, yep thats my guy for ya and that's why I love him... did I just say love him, maybe I am in love I just haven't noticed it before but now I realise I do love him. Preparing to get up once again but this time he just pushes me back down and rolls on top of me kissing my cheek, whispering, "Happy birthday sweet cheeks!" and rolling over me and lands on his feet swiftly on the ground. "Now you stay there and I'll be right back." he smiles and I raise a brow, this is a nice change.
Once he leaves the room I grip the blankets and pull them over me feeling warm again but then have the sudden urge to pee hits me and I quickly get up and go to the bathroom. Once I'm all done I also brush my teeth while also fixing my messy bed hair. I run back to the bed to where all the warmth is and just lay down thinking how amazing this trip is going to be, chilling with both my mom and my boyfriend.
Dylan comes back into the room with a small chocolate cupcake with some chocolate and white chocolate goodness on top with a lit candle stuck in the middle. Also on the tray was a plate of english muffins with nutella and a cup of latte goodness. Oh he knows me too well for my own good.
Mom soon follows Dylan in the room with a smile on her face and then they start singing, "Happy birthday day to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Emilia, happy birthday to you. Hip hip hooray, hip hip hooray, hip hip hoory." and they clap seventeen times.
"Blow a wish." Mom says still smiling,
What could I wish for if I already have everything I've ever wanted. An amazing mother, my lovely and annoying brother, an awesome boyfriend, my three besties back home and a friendship group. Since I'm not really close with Leon, Hunter, Aiden and Cory I wouldn't really call them my besties, but they are my good friends, they have also stuck up for me heaps of times.
"I don't really need to make a wish though, I already have everything I want." I tell them and Dylan pouts,
"There's got to be at least one thing you wish for." Dylans states and I think about it and then there is one thing I wish for well I wouldn't really call it a wish,
I close my eyes, blow out the candle and make the wish.
I wish that we can all stay really happy.
"What did you wish for?" Dylan asks and I smirk,
"Hey!! if I tell you it won't come true."
"She's right, wishes don't come true if she tells you what she wished for." Mom states and I nod,
"So what's on our agenda today people's?" I ask and mom looks to Dylan,
"Well I have a surprise for you but that can wait until tonight. Our day is going to start on Oxford street, cause I just know how much you like to go shopping!!" He tells me and I look confused,
"But I hate shopping." I pout and mom smiles,
"He was being sarcastic since you haven't brought any new clothes in ages. That one was my idea by the way." She winks and I smile, of course my mother would set up a shopping trip. She loves shopping always has and now where in England we can finally go shopping and buy new clothes.
"Haha very funny Dylan." I smile cheekily and he smirks, "But I will make an exception today, it's only once you get to go shopping with your mother and boyfriend." I state and Dylan shakes his head,
"You've got it all wrong sweet cheeks." I raise a brow in confusion, "You and Ally are going shopping and I have something I have to do. But do not worry we are hanging out later." He winks and I look to my mother who is smiling,
"Ok. Well you better get up now, cause we are leaving in thirty minutes." she tells me, and walks out of the room, Dylan taking his spot next to me on the bed stealing a muffin and putting his arm behind his head.
I quickly eat my cupcake before he eats it and also eat a muffin but Dylan stole my other one. I pout but I have no time to argue cause I quickly got dressed in a pair of sweats and long sleeve shirt with a random blue hoodie with some graphic on it. I grab a pair of my black converse and put them on. I put my hair up in a messy bun and rush out the room but not before pecking a smirking Dylan on the lips. He's up to something. I shrug it off and make it to the loungeroom just as my mom picks up her bag,
"Ready?" she asks and I nod.
Hours later both me and my mother are carrying a few bags each. Mine mostly consists of new perfumes, sweat pants and new hoodies. Mom kept on insisting for me to buy more nice clothes but what was weird was she was trying to get me to buy a dress.
"I'm not buying a dress mom. You know I hate them." I tell her and she smirks and that is never a good thing,
"You did when you went on your date with Parker."
My mouth drops open forming a 'O', "Mom, that was cause I was forced to and it was a date." I tell her and she shakes her head with a smirk and then it clicks. Dylan. Shopping. Dylan not coming with us. This was a set up, all for me to buy a dress. "Mom, this wouldn't have anything to do with Dylan's plans for tonight. Does it?" She focuses on anything but me and I know that I'm right cause she's doing the thing she always does when I'm right.
"No, what are you talking about honey?" she says with a high pitch tone and I smirk,
"If Dylan asked you to keep quiet and to convince me to buy a dress then he must be taking me to somewhere that's nice."
That cracked her, "Maybe." she tells me and I smile and nod,
"Fine, we'll buy me a dress." I tell her and she claps her hands together grabbing my hand and pulling me to a dress store.
Ten stores later I finally decide on a dress. It wasn't my style of dress but it was similar to the one I wore on the date with Parker. Except it had long lace sleeves and was black. I'm making an exception to wearing a dress cause my boyfriend has probally put alot of effort in for tonight and trust me, I would know.
I was just skyping the girls and they were telling my mom to make sure I look to perfection and my mother of course had already set everything up so we said our goodbyes and now I am sitting in a chair in the bathroom while my mom was doing my make up and I made sure she clearly understood that I wanted to keep it neutral. Well my hair was now in a side fishtail braid. My nails were also painted and mom chose the colour red, she said it suits my hair colour. Well now I just have to deal with the torture of being a doll for the next who know's how long. I seriously hate wearing makeup, I don't know how girls can wear it everyday, I have only ever stuck to the basics of lip balm or mascara and as for eyeliner I hate wearing it, it always makes my eyes watery, and as for foundation well I just never ever needed it cause I like my skin without feeling like a cake with too much frosting. Eyeshadow is an exception for special occasions but yea.
"Mom, can you please hurry up." I whine and she raises her brow at me,
"Sweetie we have only put on the foundation, blush and I have barely started on your eyes. So if you can be patient I'm sure you will love the end result." She tells me and I really just want to get this stuff off my face, but she's not taking no for an anwser.
"Do you know where he is taking me?" I ask curiously, cause my mother never ever tells me to dress up the way I have tonight unless it's some special occasion sort of party or we're going somewhere formal.
"That's for me to know and for you to wait for the special event." She tells me and I just shrug well I guess I can wait.
Make done. Dress on. Hair done. Heels on. Yes my mother made me wear red heels, but anyways I was just sitting about until the door opens and Dylan appears... wearing a pair of tan khaki pants and a blue dress shirt. A very hot outfit may I add. My mouth was a tad a gape just drooling over my boyfriend. Not litterally, hah. I stood up and Dylan looks me from head to toe, once I stood in front of him I realise I am still shorter than him by at least a few inches. I smile at him and he does the same.
"So are you done checking me out yet?" He smirks, his eyes sparking with happiness and I put a smirk of my own on my lips,
"Oh I could ask the same, Dyl. You done checkig me out, sir?" I say blinking my lashes a few times and he shakes his head in amusement.
"I have the whole night to check you out baby, so you ready to go?" he asks in a flirty tone and I sense my eyes are glistening,
"Never call me that babe." I say linking my arm through his as he pulls out a bunch of blue orchids that's when my smile widens. Dylan got me flowers that are one my favourite colour and two my favorite flowers and my only suspect to who told him they were was the only other person that is in the room, my mother.
"Clearly you just called me that." he tells me and I laugh lightly and hand the flowers to my mom who looks like she is trying not to squeal. That's my mother for you.
"Let's go." I whisper letting the large smile reach my lips as he places a kiss by my ear.
"You look beautiful by the way." He whispers just before he pulls back, making my face heat up. Now I know why my mother put that crap on my face, to cover my now red face. At least it covers most of the redness.
"Cya later Ally." he says with a small wave. My mom replys with a high pitch bye and we head out.
"Where are you taking me?" I ask as he is holding my hand and his arm wraps around my waist. His other hand is covering my eyes so I can't see anything.
"Just wait, we will be there very soon." Dylan tells me as he kisses my cheek.
We were in a car a few minutes ago and now we are walking to wherever he is taking me. I can hear the chattering around us and the wind blowing by. So I'm guessing we are in a more popular place in the city. That is until we aren't moving anymore.
"Reservation for Collins." Dylan says to someone,
"Yes, just follow me." The guys says, and we start to walk again.
"Be careful, there's three stairs." Dylan warns,
How am I going to be careful if I can't see anything.
But Dylan trys his best to guide me and once I move my foot up the third step to feel if there is more there isn't, I'm just surprised I didn't trip over in these heels yet.
Right now all I can hear is the wind and feel the breeze, I can also hear something starting and stopping. Where are we? I hear a set of electric doors open and we step inside.
"Enjoy your ride." The guy from before says and I hear the set of doors closing.
Enjoy your ride? Where are we?
"I really hope you like your surprise sweet cheeks. But I'm afraid your going to have to stay blinded for a few more minutes." Dylan says in a low tone and I smirk slightly,
"Hmm, someones full of secrets tonight." Suddenly we are moving again and I fall off balance and luckily Dylan catches me.
"Woah!! You ok?" Dylan asks with slight concern to his tone but I can tell he is laughing sliently,
"It would be easier if I could see." I state with humor and he chuckles.
"Trust me," he says and as he does I feel his other arm wrap around my waist and his warm minty breath on my lips, "you would rather keep your eyes closed till I tell you to open them." He says his lips a millimeter away from my lips, "You will love this." he says and his lips crash to mine.
Our lips now in sync, kissing slowly and my arms snake around his neck pulling him closer to me. Just his touch makes my skin tingle with lust and makes me want more. My heart is now racing a hundred miles per hour and my stomach is fluttering with hundreds of butterflies flying about and my head is filled with fuzziness. Only Dylan can only make this happen to me. The kiss lasts for a few more minutes and then he whispers,
"Open your eyes."
As I did I blink a few times to get used to the white lighting and look at my surrounds and gasp, putting a hand over my mouth. This is the most amazing thing anyone has done for me. This isn't the first time he surprised me with something so amazing either. We were on the famous London Eye and we were at the top, it was dark and the lights from the London surroundings lit up the town. The Big Ben was lit up and it was a beautiful thing to see. Dylan wraps his arms around my waist from the back of me and I lean my head against his chest just watching the view in front of us. Where was a camera when I needed one?
"Dylan this is amazing." I whisper with a smile and watery eyes,
"I knew you would love it." he says and I smile turning around,
"But I love you more." I say looking up at him and his eyes glisten and a genuine smile forms on his lips,
"I love you too." Dylan says leaning down and placing a kiss on my lips just as fireworks starts forming in the sky.
I told him, I finally told him that I love him.
Dylan pulls out his phone from his pocket and snaps a picture of us pulling funny faces and maybe one or two of us kissing, but he gave me the camera and I took a few snaps of the view and a few of Dylan posing for the camera, then some more of us together. But for the rest of the ride Dylan kept his arms around my waist watching the view of London as we slowly get lowered to the ground.
Best birthday ever!!
