CHAPTER 11
They went to a park where the scenery was beautiful. There are many trees and different plants. It can be said that this beautiful park is really known and visited by families who want to have fun and to relax. Dakota took a deep breath because there were a lot of people in the said place. She thought it was like when they went the first time, when there were only a few people. Now, wherever she looked, her eyes saw many people.
“Haven’t you gotten out of the car yet?” Ivo asked Dakota when he noticed that she was the only one not coming down while he talked to someone on the cell phone for a while, so it left him inside with her.
Dakota turned to Ivo and smiled shyly. “I’ll go ahead,” she answered in a low voice. She didn’t know if she could go out. Dakota seems to feel a fear that she can’t determine what the reason is. It deeply impressed her before getting out of the car. Dakota and Ivo went down almost at the same time and she caught up with her friends, who seemed to be watching something from somewhere. “What is that?” she asked Willow, who had just finished talking to Shane and Wendy.
“They are looking for a good spot for us to be positioned. They said they didn’t expect there to be so many people here today,” said Willow.
“Chef, it’s embarrassing for you. There are so many people here today. I don’t know why,” Ashton said, clearly embarrassed.
Ivo nodded. “No problem. Let’s just find a spot for us.” He even approached Liam to help them.
They walked to somehow find a good spot in that park. It didn’t take long, and they found it near the lake. Shane and Wendy excitedly laid out their mats and Dakota and Willow carefully took out the food they brought. Liam, Kurt and Ashton helped out. While Ivo, Ashton didn’t let him make a move. Ivo just shook his head because his assistant scolded him.
“The place is good. There are many trees and it is opposite the lake. And there is also a gazebo. It seems like we should be right there at the Gazebo so that our spot is better. What do you think?” Ashton asked, standing and facing the vast lake. His hands rested on his waist.
“It’s okay here, Ashton. We don’t know if tourists are allowed in the gazebo,” said Liam. He turned to Kurt, who was now far away and talking to girls. He shook his head. “Look at Kurt. It looks like another woman will cry because of him.” Liam exhaled violently.
All their attention went there.
“Kurt is handsome, so it’s obvious that girls will like him,” Wendy said with sadness in her eyes.
“Are you jealous?” Shane asked with a hint of teasing at her friend.
“What? Of course not. I feel sorry for the woman he preys on. Why is that man’s sex appeal so strong? Then he just makes the girls cry. He also has no mercy,” Wendy frowned.
Liam and Shane looked at each other as if they knew what was going on with Wendy. Willow and Dakota have no idea what Wendy’s reason is or why Liam looks at each other differently.
Ivo smiled that he was already behind Dakota, which is why she was almost surprised by his presence. “C-Chef…” she softly mentioned his name.
“What’s up?” he asked.
“I-I don’t know,” Dakota said. She was embarrassed because she felt that he was too close to her back. She swallowed. She also couldn’t really explain why she felt different every time they were near him. Dakota felt normal whenever Ashton, Liam, and Kurt approached her.
They were both now looking at Kurt, who was constantly laughing while the two women were talking. A few moments later, they started eating while they were seated on the mat. They fit there sitting down. Liam brought a speaker, so they play music while talking.
“Dakota and Willow, don’t you remember anything at all? Is there still nothing that comes to your mind at all?” Ashton asked. “You have been here with us for a few weeks. The—ouch! That’s hurt!” Ashton snorted when his friend Shane elbowed him. “What is your problem?”
“Why do you have so many questions? You can’t force someone with amnesia to remember.” Shane glared at Ashton.
Shane glared at Ashton.
“And how do we know if they both really got amnesia?” Ashton left Shane’s side. “I don’t want to be by your side anymore. You’re hurting me,” said Ashton, who was now by Ivo’s side. “Chef, I can sit here, right?”
Ivo didn’t move and just continued eating. Dakota was just looking silently but when Ivo’s eyes landed on her, she immediately looked away. Here’s the speed of her heart beating again that Ivo is the only reason why it’s happening like that. Dakota took a deep breath and focused on what she was eating.
When Dakota finished, she said to her companions that she was just going to walk around the lake. Her friends immediately agreed. Willow didn’t come because she preferred to sit down since she had just finished eating. Dakota slowly walked while observing other people who also strolled in that area. She couldn’t help but smile when she saw how happy they were, especially the children. She also saw a playground that was perfect for kids.
When she came across a girl who had fallen to the ground, she was about to approach her, but immediately a woman and a man approached the child. Dakota thinks it might be the girl’s parents. The father stood the child up while the mother hugged her. Dakota felt a sudden sadness in her heart. She didn’t expect that until tears welled up in her eyes.
There was no reason for her to feel that way, but she wanted to cry now at the scene of a family she was seeing. Their faces show joy and they are enjoying the park. Her heart ached. Dakota is hurting for no reason. She felt like she was missing something, but she couldn’t tell what.
She took a deep breath because she was getting more and more difficult to breathe. Dakota also turned her back so that somehow she could not see that family. At the same time, her tears fell and she hit someone’s broad chest. When Dakota looked up, she didn’t expect to see Ivo.
He was also looking at her. There was surprise and shock in his eyes because he could see her crying now. Dakota couldn’t stop herself from crying because her chest was so heavy.
