CHAPTER 28

“Ivo, why do you have to buy clothes for our staffs here at the restaurant?” Almira asked the young man straight.

“Why not? It’s my gift for them,” Ivo answered while reading a paper.

“Gift? Aren’t they supposed to give a gift for you? It’s your birthday. You shouldn’t give such gifts to your staffs only,” she said with folded arms.

Ivo looked at the girl. He couldn’t believe what she said. He put the papers he was holding on the table and looked at his friend. “Look, it’s not because they’re just staff here, that’s how we’re going to treat them.”

The girl looked up. “And so? Those people’s heads are still men because of what you are doing. Or worst, they will be lazy,” she was an artful manner.

Ivo just shook his head. Almira’s childishness is back. That’s what he thought in his mind. “They are not that kind of person, Almira. I know them because they have been employees here at Prime Restaurants for a long time.”

The girl sat down and brought her face closer to Ivo’s. “No. Your staffs is so annoying. Especially that Dakota! She’s like a witch. She’s weird.”

The young man’s head suddenly became hot when the young woman spoke badly about the young woman. He looked at it. His jaw clenched. “You don’t know Dakota, so don’t judge her.” His voice rose slightly, causing the girl to stop.

“O-oh? Why do you react like that when it comes to her, Ivo? Tell me, do you like that girl?”

Ivo was stunned by Almira’s question.

Why is he so concerned with the girl?

Why is he happy when he is with her and sees her?

Why does he get angry every time someone judges him?

What does he really feel for the girl?

Ivo’s party was not very fancy. The garden is simply arranged with a large swimming pool. There are flower petals there and there are high tables. There are already many visitors at that time.

“Happy birthday, Ivo,” greeted a man wearing a red polo shirt. Her hair is blonde in a mushroom cut. Ivo shook hands and thanked him. He walked around the pool where his other guests were seated. His college friends and busy partners were there.

“Chef.” He turned to a corner of the garden. He thought carefully about who called him. It turned out to be Ashton with their other colleagues at the restaurant. He quickly said goodbye to the guests he was talking to and headed to Ashton’s place.

“Why are you here now? My party started a while ago,” he said to them.

“Happy birthday, Chef,” they greeted him. He looked at his friends. One by one, their clothes were torn apart. “You look handsome in what you’re wearing, a.” He smiled at them. Ashton, Liam and Kurt joined. Shane and Wendy smiled.

“Thank you, Chef,” they all said.

“Where is Dakota?” asked the young man.

“H-huh? That’s right? Hey, where is Dakota?” Ashton elbowed Liam. The friends looked at each other. They both ask questions and talk with the eyes.

“P-I’m sorry, I looked for the CR earlier. I can’t really find it.” They all turned to the newcomer, Dakota. Ivo, on the other hand, couldn’t help but be infatuated with the girl.

She bought a pink dress with a black collar from her brother for this. Her hair is in a bun style. He smiled when he saw that he bent down when he saw that he was staring at the girl.

This is an angel that came down from heaven. She also has light make-up that further adds to her gentle face.

He approached the girl, held her by the chin, and slowly raised her face so that she could look at him.

“Dakota,” he said softly. Dakota couldn’t do anything but look at the young man. He feels different now that they are staring into each other’s eyes.

It seems that the world’s cycle slowed down at that time. Ivo touched her cheek and looked at every corner of her face. “C-chef,” he called the young man. He just smiled at her.

“You’re so beautiful, Dakota.”

“S-thank you C-chef...” said Dakota, who was about to bow again, but Ivo stopped her. “Happy birthday, by the way.” It’s still connected.

“Thank you,” said Ivo, smiling again.

“Excuse me.” They all turned to the woman who approached them.

“Almira,” Ivo greeted Chef’s friend with a smile.

“Happy birthday, Ivo.” The girl approached. It even hit Shane and Wendy in the arm. Because Almira passed in the middle of them. He even hugged Ivo and then looked straight at Dakota, who backed away slightly.

“Thank you,” Ivo said, then smiled.

“Welcome.” He smiled sweetly at the young man and addressed his colleagues in the restaurant. “Excuse us, I just want to say something important to Ivo,” said Almira. Looked at each other.

You sent

friends and Ivo.

“H-come on.” Dakota pulled Shane and Wendy’s hand.

They left the two who were now talking.

-

“Claire, are you sure we can come here?” Myra while parking the car she and her friend were riding in.

He looked at her before speaking. “Yes. We’re invited here, eh?” He smiles when he laughs.

“Really? As far as I remember, Ivo kicked us out of his restaurant. Why would he invite us here to his party?”

“And now you really asked? When will we be here with them? My God! And one more thing, he wasn’t the one who invited me here.” He looked at the gate before looking at his friend again. “Grace.”

-

The two entered inside the mansion. Claire had some acquaintances who were there, so she congratulated her. Their faces could reflect the wonder why he was there. He just kept walking until someone bumped into him.

“Shit!” it’s cheap. Because she spilled red wine on her green dress. “ARE YOU BLIND??” he asked.

“S-sorry,” he apologized to her.

“What? Sorry you face! Don’t you know how much my dress is?”

The woman was still bent, so he grabbed her arm. “Look at me! You don’t know me, huh?”
