CHAPTER 29

Ivo’s party went well at the same time. That kind of thing is good, even for Dakota and Willow. Maybe even when they didn’t lose their memories, they didn’t really like those kinds of parties anymore. Dakota, Willow, Shane, Wendy, Ashton, Liam and Kurt were at one table. There was a lot of admiration on their faces as well as the other people there. All the guests looked as rich except them.

“It’s embarrassing,” Wendy whispered, which Dakota and Willow heard.

“Yes.”

“Hey! What are you talking about there?” asked Shane. It left earlier and just came back. It carries a plate filled with food.

“Sit down first,” Shane said, then adjusted her seat. “Look at the people here at the party. Obviously, some of them are rich and from famous families. Chef Ivo is also really big time, right?”

Shane nodded. “It’s true. There was a celebrity at the buffet when I was there. It’s like I saw that woman on TV, but I was too shy to approach and ask.” Shane took another bite after saying that.

Dakota’s gaze landed on Wendy as she turned slightly in her seat. “Which celebrity? Is it popular? Maybe that’s my idol, huh? You should have known!”

“What are you? It’s embarrassing, isn’t it?”

“Oh! If I had seen it, I would have come closer. You’re just weak, huh!”

“Hey! Why are you making noise? Even though the music is loud, I can still hear your voices! Can you be quiet for just a moment?” Ashton pleads, obviously stressed with their girls again.

Wendy looked at it. “We do not interfere with your search for beautiful women. Look at him next to you! The stickiness to look at a woman across the table from us!” Wendy even pointed at Kurt, who was looking at the beautiful woman. Obviously, it’s Kurt’s type. “Does he hope that will get him noticed?”

Ashton looked at Kurt next to him, then elbowed him. “Hey! Stop that.”

“What? Let them. I feel the same way, huh!” Kurt said, turning to the other side where Liam was standing and said something to him.

Liam turned around at their behavior and Ashton then shook his head. “Ashton, stop Wendy even now. You you constantly pay attention to things that shouldn’t be paid attention to.”

“Why? Are you really going to help me?”

Kurt turned to him, then put his arm around him. “That’s right. Come on and let’s find some girls. So many beautiful ones, oh!”

It’s a good thing Kurt did that because Ashton’s attention was lost on them. Wendy breathed a sigh of relief. “That’s really a man. He thought he did something else in life other than preach and scolding us, right?”

“Let him go. He’s getting old and still single. You know, there’s a reason why he’s being rude,” Shane answered, causing them to laugh as friends. They were silent for a moment when Ashton turned to them and gave them a warning look, but Kurt put his arm around him again.

They were in that situation when Ivo approached them with a beautiful smile on his lips. They immediately stood up and then smiled at the young man. Dakota smiled at Ivo, but when he noticed that Almira was following him and raised an eyebrow at him, he slightly avoided looking at them.

“Are you enjoying the party?” he asked while his eyes were on Dakota.

“Yes, Chef. Your party is awesome. We didn’t think you were really big time,” said Wendy, who laughed after saying that.

“Not at all. Most of them are my friends. Even from rich families, they are kind.” He looked at Dakota. “Have you eaten?”

Dakota didn’t know what to answer at that time because she didn’t seem to know what to answer here. Then he wondered why he had been looking at him for a while when they had so many friends. Dakota swallowed.

“Yes, Chef. Don’t worry. We all ate. The food here is delicious, but we know that your cooking is even better,” Shane whispered, causing Ivo to laugh even more.

“You really are.”

“Ivo, let’s go. You have many more guests to approach,” Almira said, then looked at them.

The young man looked at it, then nodded and looked back at him. “I’ll be back.”

Dakota just nodded, then looked at her other friends. When Ivo left, they looked at him. You think that he seems to be teasing? The behavior of his companions especially surprised him. He sat down first among them. But I think his friends were teasing him because they surrounded him.

“What is that? Why?” He looked at them one by one.

“You are the one we should ask. What is that, Dakota?”

“Which?” He didn’t really know what his friends meant. He laughed a little because of that. “Sit down now.” He pulled Shane into his arms one by one so he sat down, but he still had the look as if he was being carefully examined.

“Why is Chef Ivo like that to you, huh?” asked Shane.

“What is that? He just asked us.”

“Yes, but he’s looking at you. It’s like we’re not here!” Wendy spoke.

“What? Not really, huh? He was asking in general earlier, right Willow?” he asked his friend, who also had a smile on his lips. “Hey! Why are you smiling?”

“Even though his question is in general, he seems to only see you. If we don’t answer, we’ll think that he’s really just asking you.”

“Right!”

“What? Isn’t it? You know, whatever comes to your mind. That’s just not there. That question is for us, okay?” He tries to make his friends believe, even though he himself is also wondering about Ivo. His chest was pounding so hard. He does not know why and what is happening.

“We don’t believe it. I have a feeling that you and Chef Ivo have something.”

“Hey, I feel the same!” Wendy said to Shane.

Dakota laughed. “Please, nothing!”

“Or if you don’t like him, I’m sure Chef Ivo has feelings for you.”

“Right!”

He just shook his head. He didn’t expect his friends to think that way. He didn’t know what to feel. Will he be happy or ashamed because maybe later Ivo will hear them and then no one likes him. It’s too embarrassing. He just ignored his friends because he thought they would not stop teasing him, especially since there were three of them and he was the only one.
