Power of team work 4

At the rangers Base, james stood before his team mates except from Chloe and Michelle who were preparing dinner with Kim in the kitchen and also Kelvin who walked out to take some fresh air 'according to him'

"guys i wanna apologize for what happened earlier. I didn't see what you guys saw about me, my part of being selfish and um, seriously i regretted my actions. Now i realize that teamwork pays, team work makes a team stand" James paused without making an eye contact with them.

He sighed before adding "so i just wanna say am sorry" he ended before raising his head and glancing at them with a his lips locked up together. His facial expression tells that he was really sorry.

Freddie who rested on the wall with his arms crossed, smile and then walked towards james, holding him on the shoulder "Am glad you realized your mistake and regretted your actions but nah" he shook his head "You did not offend me"

"Yea sure, me too" Jack added with a nod.

"Really" James wondered with his eyebrows furrowed together.

Freddie who had a smile instantly replied with a frown "no, the only person you hurt was" Before he could land, James interrupted with a gesture "Kelvin, yes i know"

"glad you know. So you know what to do" Freddie patted him at the back before tucking his pocket on his way to the door.

Outside the garage, Freddie and jack carved out a space and turned it to a mini basketball court with only one net.

Kelvin still felt a little bit hurt at James's attitude towards him some hours ago. But there was one thing he noticed, he still loved him as a friend, despite James's error. The two had now become a family that if it we're possible, they would have turned to a gay couple.

Still in thought, kelvin took a basketball and turned towards the net. He decided to give it a try.

"I guess it's not so hard after all" he said to himself while bouncing the ball repeatedly on the ground. He leaped and then made a throw which diverted straight to the pole instead of inside the net. He took the ball and threw it again but this time, it banged the board over the net and directed it's navigation towards a window.

Suddenly James appeared from nowhere and made a front flip, catching the ball from hitting the window.

"Woh" Kelvin exclaimed with his mouth wide open at James who didn't only stop the ball from crashing into the window, but he landed like a superhero which he technically was.

James smiled and then tossed the ball to Kelvin who inserts it into the net in a magnificent way.

"Hey man! That was an awesome skill, never knew you had it in there" James addressed kelvin's move with a smile on his face.

"Uhhh, not as awesome as what you did. you literally just saved me from - hey kel see what you've done" Kelvin said making an impression of someone correcting a person for something bad. He actually wanted to make an impression on someone in the Jones family but he couldn't think of who.

They both laughed together which was not supposed to be according to james's thought. He thought they were still caught up in a rift.

Seeing this he felt bad due to the way he talked to him some hours ago.

"Hey bro, um" he sighed then continued "I'm very sorry for what I did. The way I spoke to you was way out of line. We've been best buddies since grade one and you've never acted to me that way"

Still apologizing, kelvin interrupted with a shout which was not that loud "hold it just" and Immediately James stopped with a sober face.

Kelvin was now getting pissed but he tried to conceal it as he inhaled before uttering

"I uh" he paused before making a scoff "yea I'm really mad... weak gold ranger, idiot boy" kelvin listed with a gesture.

"Yea that was a blast to my face but I realized something, this same weak gold ranger helped you defeat darkvage and the giga monster which clearly state that you were wrong, and here's the best part" he paused with a smile.

"I'm not mad at you anymore, yea and besides we are best friend and best friends always get into a fight but guess what? they reconcile, so it's over" kelvin disengaged his crossed arms with a smile.

At that, James raised his brows in surprise "seriously"


"with the whole of my heart i say yes" he said again with a smile but later changed it into a frown "but promise me you'll never ever do it again, no matter what"

"I cross my heart" James said as he crossed his arms on his chest as a gesture

"pinky swear" Kelvin titled his head a bit with a narrow-eyed. He drew out hus pinky finger a gesture to what he just said.

James on the other hand gave a tiny laughter before saying "I swear"

"Then it's all over"

"Oh god, you are the best buddy i have ever had" James said as he stretched his hands to kelvin who embraced in return "me too"


After the hug, James then took the ball and started teaching kelvin some basic steps on hoops. Kelvin made mistakes and instead of being mad, James made a joke out of it and together the laughed and laughed and had so much fun.

The next week was the finals.

Carlsville team took down the duke surprisingly with a defeating point of 90-20.

The virgins outwit the liberty high school with a defeating point of 76-70 which clearly states that for the second time, the final was to be played between carlsville academy and the virgins.

Now the final which was held at carlsville court started some minutes ago and it appeared that the virgins are ahead with two point with the score being 96-98

"Two minutes to the end of the game, definitely the carlsville team needs three point to take the title for the twentieth time while the vigins needs to maintain or upgrade their point to go for the second title" The commentator said into the mic.

"now the ball is tossed from alexander to agneor, agneor bounces the ball and throws it to James and swiftly from James to Freddie and now Freddie inserts the ball to the net" The commentator further said as freddie's goal made the carlsville fans jubilate
with smiles and happy faces.

"way to go Fred" Chloe cheered while enjoying her popcorn with Michelle.

"i hope they win this final" Michelle hoped before stuffing her mouth with popcorn "me too" Chloe added

"Now, a minute to the end of the game, ramsey from the virgins team takes the ball and accidentally passes it to the carlsville defender.... what a great throw alexander made to joel. Now it's jack with the ball, he tosses it to Freddie and now Freddie bounces it to James who appears to be a free man. Now James runs for the net but oh no, he is blocked by three defenders" the commentator paused with his fist on his closed mouth hoping for a good move from james.

James bounced the ball to the ground and at the same time, he glanced around to see who he could toss the ball to.

Suddenly he spotted jack who was waving his hands outside the line signifying that he is a free man but instead james made a smile, dribbles the defenders and changes for the net but to everyone's surprise, James tossed the ball to jack who was outside the line.

Calmly, jack leaped and then threw the ball towards the net.

All eyes in the court fisted their attention on the ball which kinda moved slowly in the air towards the net. With their hands in the head and their mouths widely opened, with their popcorns falling from their mouths, they watched the ball with both positive and negative expectations.

The ball bounces on the edge of the net, rolls over and over at the edge and later into the net which awards the carlsville team three points.

Seeing this, there was an uproar of shout and jubilations from the carlsville fans and teams as the match ended 101-98.

"you did it jack" James yelled at jack with his hands wide opened.

"you did it james" jack retorted as he jumped on James with a broad smile on his face.

"We did it" They yelled together as the whole carlsville fans and team including kelvin trooped into the pitch and carried the players including the coach - Mr. Wilson, making it a remarkable day for the people of carlsville.
