Spirit of christmas

Note: The whole scene in this chapter is nearly four months before "Power of team work"

This is due to the continuation of a character from chapter 23, 24, 25 and 26.

24th of december which signifies Christmas Eve is the evening or entire day before christmas day. People make use of the day as a free day to prepare for Christmas day which is the next day.

The people of carlsville appears to be in a festive mood as they decorate their houses, hang oversized snowflakes, decorate the trees and not to forget, the building of the snowman.

Being a festive season, the fire saber rangers decided to decorate the base with fancy items. The christmas light, candles, groping and many other items.

Chloe and Michelle teamed up together to design the 8ft christmas tree which nearly touched the celling. Since the two are females and they know a bit about fashion, they had their design under control.

"Michelle, pass me the baubles"
Chloe said to Michelle who dipped her hand into the basket and she drew out the remaining three different colored ball ornaments with both hands.

"here, have it" Michelle replied, handing it over to Chloe who streched both hands out.

"Thanks"
she then turned towards the three and hanged the baubles in parts that were empty making it more beautiful.

Chloe smiled at the beauty of the tree before turning to Michelle who shook her head with a broad smile on her face "this is perfect"


Chloe who was sitting down stood to her feet and walked towards james who was trying to hang a christmas light. "We're done with the trees" she uttering.

"Lucky for you" James strained as he streched till the extent of standing on his toe to hang the lights. Suddenly he slipped and then fell to the ground.

"Jeez, sorry dude" jack rushed to help James up who luckily wasn't hurt.

Instead of helping, Chloe and Michelle giggled with laughter which made James frown his face at them "funny uhn"

Not less than a sec, the door was opened as freddie and kelvin walked in.

"Hey guys we're done the snowman"
Freddie said as he laid his hands on his hips, glancing at the designs and decoration made inside the base.

"Every thing okay James"
kelvin who held Michelle on the arm noticed James face which muddled together. James about to answer was interrupted by Chloe who blurted.

"James tried to put lights up in that corner and boom" she stomped her feet and also made a gesture that he fell down.

"seriously" Freddie raised his brows with a faint smile.

Still with a frown on his face, James shook his head "not funny"


"Anyways"
freddie trying to say the next word stopped due to Kim who walked in with her phone on her hand.


"Oh great, thank god you're all here" Kim said as she adjusted her spectacle.

"Hey mom, what's going on?"
chloe asked as she walked towards her seat.

"I just got a memo from the Vice Mayor"
she replied staring into their faces.

"and what does he want?"
Freddie asked making a questioning face.

"He wants you guys to guard the parade tomorrow" Kim answered as she walked towards the controls.

"We?"
kelvin eyebrows furrowed together in confusion.

Kim who understood his reaction waved before answering "Oh! i mean the fire saber rangers"


"But why? why can't we join the parade as normal being" jack blurted out with a frown. The rest also mumbled some words in agreement to what jack said.

Kim turned at them, made a sigh before answering
"I get your thoughts and I'm sorry but don't forget you signed for this. it's your sole responsibility to protect the city no matter what"

At that James grunted in anger "Argh, i can't believe am going to celebrate christmas by guarding a parade"

"Same here" Michelle added.

Freddie who was silent for some seconds spoke out "guys I want you to calm down alright. Where there is a will, there is a way and speaking of a way, I do have a plan"

and at that, they all stared at Freddie with narrow faces "really" "then tell us" Kim and kelvin said one after the other.

"Okay, I was thinking, after mass service, we'll all meet at the entrance of the church, join the parade without our uniforms then if any problem arise, we transform and then deal with the problem fair and square" Freddie ended with a smile " So what do you see to that"
he added glancing at their faces most especially kim.

"That's a great idea" kelvin nodded in agreement.

"yea me too but mom what do you think"
Chloe faced Kim who removed her spectacles before inserting it into a case.

"If it's okay by you guys, then no problem"


Making the say, Michelle stated with a gesture "It is done"


"Now we save the day" a call was made by James who raised his right fist up.

And together they raised their hands in return with a smile on their faces "On christmas day"

Up into the space, the kolvax spaceship stood on the air (space) without any movement. Luther walked into jurazuss chamber and met Lord jurazuss on his throne and also a troy massaging his leg.

"My Lord" Luther called, walking majestically towards Lord jurazuss "Since its christmas day, I was hoping if I could take the day off"

But instead jurazuss leaned forward and then grunted in reply
"No days off until the rangers are destroyed"

His voice made the troy who was massaging his leg fidget.

Seeing what he caused, he fell on his knees and begged "I'm sorry my Lord, I'm sorry if I made you angry. Besides I've figured out a plan on how to sabotage christmas for the earth and rangers"

Hearing that, Lord Jurazuss growled lightly before resting his back on the throne "tell me about this plan of yours"

Luther nodded his head and instead of replying, he yelled out "Spectrodon"
and out of no where, Spectrodon teleported right into the chamber with his axe on his right hand.

"Yes Luther" spectrodon said before realizing that Lord Jurazuss was on his throne. Immediately he went on his knees with his eyes on the ground "oh! my lord"


"Holding his shoulder, Luther explained

"Spectrodon will be the tool for the destruction of the earth. He will absorb every christmas item and destroy christmas for everyone, Ha-ha" he ended with a laughter which made jurazuss pissed a bit as he leaned forward again with a shout.

"Silence... work it out and make sure you destroy christmas for the earth and the people"

At that, the two bowed in reply before walking out of the chamber. Lord Jurazuss rested his back on his throne, gazing at the air while the troy massaged the other foot.

The next day turned to be christmas day. the people of carlsville woke up to a bright christmas Mlmorning as drops of snow fell on different part of the city.

"Meri kirihitmete ma'am" a young man made a compliment in mario language to an old lady as he removed his hat and made a bow.

"Merry christmas son" she replied with a smile on her face.

Other fellow citizens wished one another, shared and exchanged gift even as they walked down to Hamilton christ church situated at Hamilton road.

Meanwhile, different things were beautiful to behold on this day. Carlsville sky tower illuminated so bright with lights of different color.

Christmas trees of different height were also found by the road side, the park, bookstores, restaurants, cafe, churches and many other places. Christmas songs were all over the air.

After the mass which went for an hour, Freddie and his team met outside the church except for Kim who couldn't attend the mass service.


Some meters away from the church, Freddie decided to strike a conversation.

"Am so happy we are celebrating christmas together" he said with a smile on his face as he tucked his fingers into his tiny pocket.

"Same here but aside that, what happens next" Chloe's question made the whole team halt as they stared at one another for answers.

As the leader, Freddie answered "We just have to search for the parade ground"

"that's right but where do we begin"
Michelle asked too soon as suddenly citizens of carlsville passed through Hamilton street with different activities.

There appeared to be live entertainment, santa and elf costumes worn by some people, cyclists cycling their bikes and bicycle.

Speaking of santa and elf costumes, Jeff appeared to be wearing an oversized santa costume while jasper wore that of an elf.


"I guess our start is here" kelvin said as he pointed to the parade ground.

And together they moved towards the parade with their hands crossed on eachothers shoulder.

Back to the kolvax spaceship, Luther stared and watched how the humans celebrated christmas. He grunted before giving an instruction to spectrodon.
"it is time. Go destroy christmas for the earth"

Spectrodon roared in laughter before adding "This time I'll give them a surprise attack then destroying the earth will be easy"

Luther tapped the teleportation button and zoomed, spectrodon was out of sight.
