Chapter 30

**COLE**

When I finally got home, I went straight to the office to see what had been collected from the papers. And just thinking about how much work awaits me I wish I was back with the search team. When I opened the door, I found Mia with the baby in her arms and Wyatt playing in front of the desk on the floor.
"What are you doing here?" I asked her. And she motioned for me not to talk so as not to wake her baby.
*-I just finished with the signatures.* She mind-link me.
*-You are the best.* I told her and sat in the chair in front of the desk. I leaned forward and took Wyatt in my arms, and he showed me what he was painting. He also put a finger on lips to show me that we were not talking. He is so smart for his age.
*-I must make appointments to find out how everything is going.*
*-Yes, Blake told me you would be back, and I had already arranged a meeting.*
*-Esmeralda?* I asked her.
*-The same. She found nothing. Today she told me that they have their own witch who helps them.*
*- I am going to see her.*
*-Okay. The meeting starts in an hour.*
I nodded and let Wyatt down. I left the office and sniffed the air until I noticed the scent which led me to the second floor. The next morning after Ella's disappearance she revealed herself and we gave her a room next to mine. The truth is that we have not spoken at all, and I miss her very much. She made it clear that she did not want to have anything to do with me when we were in the cabin because I was already with Olivia. But she came, and that gives me hope, and now it is time to talk, I can't bear to be away from her.
When I knocked on the door and received no answer, I opened it without hesitation. I found her buried among her books.
"Esmeralda?"
"Are you back?" She asked me and I can say that her voice sounded excited. It is all I need for now.
"How are you?"
"I have a headache, I can't find anything to help, all my efforts failed."
"Do not worry. I'm sure you do the best you can."
I approached her and stood next to her, and she stood up, but her gaze fell to the floor, she seemed ashamed.
"Why did you return?" I finally asked her, the hope that she might have changed her mind about us has kept me alive for so long.
"Why did you decide to sleep with another woman?" She replied with a question.
*Explain now.* Conan commented.
"I'm sorry, you're right. You rejected me; it does not justify my action."
"You're right. That does not justify it."
"I had cleared up with Olivia before she even betrayed us. I want you. Only you." I started stroking her cheek and she tilted her head. The feeling is magical. Those who described it were right. I never had a chance to feel it. And from that moment I know that this will become my favorite habit. I will make sure that at the future I will never leave her side.
"I want you too." She whispered to me and without a second thought I bent down and kissed her. I grabbed her with one hand from the middle and the other behind her neck. The taste of her lips is wonderful. She is beautiful, I do not care if she is a witch, I would not care if she had duck legs, with two heads, she is all mine.
I stepped back, and we both smiled like children
"You do not know how I expected this. Sorry about everything. I only want you."

"I know. I feel it. You may have your wolf, but I can also feel your feelings. I know when you are telling the truth. "
"I want us to be together, officially."
"Everything on time, sit down to find our friend first."
"You're right. But then everyone will know that you are mine. "
I gave her another kiss but now a deepen it. I let my tongue slide inside her mouth, and I heard her moan. With one hand I pushed her books over her desk and picked her up and leaned her on. I felt her trying to take off my shirt and so I took a step back and took it off on my own. Her hand began to explore my abdomen and I could not hold it anymore. I started unbuttoning my pants when I heard Mia's voice in my head telling me that everyone has gathered for the meeting. I sighed and Esmeralda noticed the change of my mood.
"Are you ok?"
"I have a meeting." I told her and she smiled.
"It's ok. I will see you tonight."
"Of course, you will." I winked at her.
"I will wait for you here." She told me and I left her room as the happiest person in the world. Ready and full of energy to face everything again.


**ELLA**

When I opened my eyes I found food, water, and the pills next to me. I started eating and then swallowed the pills with water. The pain has been to intensify again. I do not know how many hours I slept. I want so much to go out and see the sunlight again.
After an hour, my dear brother came to visit.
"How are you? Did my technique help you?"
"You are crazy! You will not achieve anything!" I screamed.
"So, you're not ready to cooperate?"
"What do you want from me?"
"For start, all the information I can use against your favorite mate."
"Aren't your people telling you?" I asked him. He came and knelt in front of me.
"I want to hear it from you."
"Okay." I agreed and looked him in the eyes. I decided to follow Olivia's advice. At least I had to try.
"Perfect. Come with me then. " He stood up and I followed him with difficulty. He did not care at all that I was in pain, that he saw me biting my lips not to groan, in front of me is a stranger, a threat to my family. As much as it hurts me when the time comes, I will make sure he regrets it for everything.
"Well, show me on the map that you know, for security, houses. I want to know everything." He told me when we re-entered his room.
I gave him a detailed description of everything. About where the pack house is, the patrols, the people's houses. I was sure he already knew and tried me to see if I was telling the truth.
"Very well." He seemed happy with my answers. At least that is good, today will pass without implementing his famous ideas.
I was sure he opened his mouth to tell me something when an alarm sounded.
Ι looked at him breathlessly.
"What the hell!" He said but the answer came when the door opened and a man in his fifties came in, I turned to look at him and he looked terrified.
"Men from Black Stone are here. Their Alpha is with them."
My eyes winded, my Jonathan is here, he came for me.
My brother grabbed my forearm and he started walking through the door.
"Let’s go and say hello to your mate."
This is can not be good.
"I will destroy this fucking pack today."
"What are you talking about? Do you think that you can compare to them?" I asked him, full of confidence. No one can win him. He is the most powerful wolf around here, all of them know it.
"I will bring their Alpha on his knees." he stopped walking and turned to me. He caressed my chin and looked me in the eyes smiling.
"After all, he will do anything to save his mate." He said in low voice and started climbs the stairs pulling me with him.
When we reach the front door upstairs, my heart was beating like a crazy. I was both happy to see him again and scared about the outcome. I am not sure anymore if I want my only family to die. With the right help, this crazy mind of him can be cured.
The enormous growls got me out of thoughts. My eyes fell on the black wolf in the frond line. Goddess, I missed him so much. His eyes pierced mine and I noticed as he sniffed the air. Then he started to growl like never before.
There were no more than twenty men with him, Blake’s wolf was at his side. The rogues were more, and they stand all of them few hundreds of meters away. All waiting for someone or something to start the slaughter.
I tried to free myself, but Damian tightened his grip around my arm.
"Let’s the show begin." He whispered near my ear, making my hair on my neck to stand up.
