Chapter 20 - Mated

Luci and Xavier ran through the city as fast as they could. When they reached a low building, they leaped onto the roof and hid. Luci could jump higher than Xavier, but there was no way they were going to leave each other. Luckily, as a lycan, he could run as fast as she could.

They heard the men below them yelling. Then Luci turned around and saw Mel behind her, smirking.

"I knew you would try the same thing you did at the airport. Not very creative, are you?" Xavier pushed Luci behind him and slammed his fist into Mel's face. She fell on her back, screaming in pain.

Xavier pulled Luci with him, and they jumped from building to building, trying to get as far away as possible before anyone caught up with them. Luci recognized one of the buildings, and when they got on top, she pulled Xavier over to the door on the roof. When they got inside, she quickly locked the door, and they ran downstairs.

"What building is this?" Luci blushed a little, not wanting to tell Xavier how she knew the building they were in.

"This is a place I used to visit in the past. They have parties in the basement." Xavier's face softened when he saw her biting her lip. He knew there was some part of her that didn't like to talk about her past because she thought he wouldn't like it. He stopped on the steps on the way downstairs and pulled her into his arms.

"I don't care about your past with other men. I only care about your future with me." Xavier leaned over and kissed her. They had only been apart for less than twenty-four hours, but that was too long for both of them. They kissed each other like they hadn't seen each other in days. When they pulled apart, they were breathing hard and holding on to one another.

"What's your phone number?" He looked at her, confused at her question.

"What?" He thought maybe he had heard her wrong.

"After Nolan took me and I got away from him, I thought I had no way to contact you because I didn't even know your phone number." Luci smiled at him as she ran her hand through his soft hair.

"You're right. Here I have this for you. I'm assuming Nolan didn't want you to take it when he kidnapped you." Xavier pulled out Luci's phone and handed it to her. "Once you charge it, I'll call you from my phone, so you'll have my number."

"Thank you."

They finished going down the rest of the steps until they reached the first floor. Luci led him to the front door, and when they went outside, they didn't see anyone that looked familiar, so they casually walked out hand in hand.

"Where should we go?" Luci asked, knowing they couldn't go to her apartment; that's the first place everyone would look for them.

"Let's go to the last place anyone would expect us to be. A cheap hotel. With me being a prince, everyone will expect us to be somewhere nice. Maybe we can actually rest and come up with a plan. What do you think?" Luci smiled; she liked that plan.

"Sounds good to me. I don't care where we go as long as we're together." They walked down the street and found the first cheap motel that didn't look like it would have bed bugs or roaches. Once in their room, they both fell onto the bed in pure exhaustion.

"I'm starving; how about we order some pizza? Do you need blood yet? I'm sure you know the places that deliver." Xavier wanted to ensure she had energy if they had to run again.

"Pizza sounds good. I'm okay for now; I'll probably need some tomorrow."

While Xavier ordered the food, Luci took a shower. When she walked out of the bathroom wearing nothing but the thin towel, Xavier almost howled in delight.

"How much time do we have before the pizza gets here." Luci asked as she walked up to him and sat across his lap.

"They said about half an hour." Xavier tugged on the towel, freeing her large breasts. "I want to ravish your body, Luci, but we don't have time now. So, we'll make this quick, and I'll have you for dessert after we eat."

Luci almost came from his words alone. He picked her up and laid her across the bed on her back. After taking her towel off, he pulled his pants off and crawled on top of her. Neither of them needed the foreplay; they just needed to feel connected.

Nolan had everyone who worked for him looking for Luci. He couldn't believe that she had slipped through his fingers so easily. He knew he would never be able to tame her enough to be his mate.

He also discovered that the prince had shown up in New York, so he figured they were probably together again. He thought about ways to make the prince disappear, but that wouldn't be easy with him being the crown prince. He wondered what he and Luci were doing together. She usually spread her legs and then left them high and dry.

He decided it was time to talk to Damien and see what they could do about his daughter. He would have to make him see she was a liability to their livelihood. If Damien didn't do something about it, Nolan would.

After eating, Luci and Xavier made love. They both passed out once they were finally done. Luci woke up first the following morning, wrapped in Xavier's arms.

She stared at his handsome face and fell deeper in love with him. Luci wished her sister would have had a mate as fantastic as Xavier. She watched him sleep, and her heart ached, thinking she was the cause of their current situation. If only she hadn't run away from him.

Luci smiled when he opened his eyes and saw her staring at him. She leaned over to kiss him before he could say anything. Now that she had accepted and said she loved him, she couldn't get enough of him.

"Good morning, beautiful." Xavier said in his sleepy, sexy voice, making Luci blush like a schoolgirl.

"Good morning, my handsome mate." Luci smiled into his eyes, knowing that her words would please him. However, she was confused when he frowned a little.

"I have something I want to talk to you about." She immediately worried that he would reject her now that she had accepted him. He saw the look of worry on her face and kissed her forehead.

"Sweetheart, it's not bad, just something I want to discuss." Luci let out the breath she had been holding.

"Okay, what is it?"

"I think we should mark each other as soon as possible. It will make us more connected, and we'll be able to mindlink each other. What do you think?" Luci felt her heart swelling up.

"I agree; I think we should mark each other. Let's do it now; there's no reason to waste more time." Luci felt her fangs were aching to taste his blood and make him hers.

"Do you want to go first?" Xavier saw the way she was looking at his neck like she saw breakfast.

Luci nodded and rolled him over so he was on his back. She then straddled his abdomen while he tilted his head to the side, bearing his neck for her. She leaned over and sunk her fangs into the sweet spot where his neck and collarbone meet.

She felt her fangs going deeper and deeper while she drank some of his blood. Luci was getting excited at the sparks and connection she was feeling. When she pulled her fangs back, she felt like she was returning from an orgasm. Xavier started chuckling at the dazed look on her face.

"Wow, that was pretty intense." Luci looked down at him and licked the tiny dots of blood on his neck where her mark was. They both moaned in pleasure.

"Alright, your turn to mark me."

Xavier quickly flipped her over so she was on her back, and she giggled at his excitement. He had been thinking about doing this since he first realized she was his mate. He knew that when he marked her, he wanted to be inside her in more ways than one.

Xavier started kissing her as he moved between her legs. He moved his lips to her neck, and as his canines bit into her neck, his cock slid inside her.
