Chapter Six: Aurora's Fate Is Sealed

As we stepped back into the house, I was still reminiscing through what Patricia's grand mother had said about me. It was so unfortunate to know that I was to face a problem with Ryker and I wasn't ready to confront him.

"You have been acting really weird since we came back, is this because of what my grandmother said earlier?" Patricia asked, breaking my chain of thoughts.

"I can't lie, I am worried about this whole thing. While I am gad that I will be giving birth to twins, I am also very scared about the event of situations, where I am being confronted by Ryker." I revealed.

"You don't have to worry about anything dear. I can assure you that you are safe with us." She turned to the direction of Felix, who appeared to be going through some papers. "Felix is a trained pack soldier, one of the very best and I can assure you with him and Liam on our side, there is no need to be scared."

From my peripheral vision, I watched Felix approach us with a casual smile on his face. He was never the type to be usually moody

"What seems to be the matter?" He asked, placing his hands on Patricia.

"Well for starters, my Grandma said she is going to be birthing twins." There was a look of surprise on the face of Felix.

"That's amazing! So why is she sad." Felix asked feeling elated.

"Alpha Ryker being her rejected mate, has been prophecied to come look for her and I think that's the main issue with her."

"Listen to me Aurora, Ryker would never lay a single hand on you. I am a trained pack soldier and I have led several of my kind to war. I fear no Alpha and if he thinks he can come and wage war in our small pack because of you, I can bet there will be a lot of people to stand for you."

I felt protected and a smile plastered on my face, knowing that I have found a family that is willing to put everything on the line for me and I couldn't be more grateful.

"As a matter of fact, I am going to talk to Liam and we would address the situation right on time." He said, getting his things and leaving almost immediately.

"You see what I am saying, Felix would never allow Ryker touch you, there is no need to worry about anything."

I embrace her in a warm hug, I didn't know what else I would be without her guidance and her love.

Hours later, Felix and a young man, who I suppose was Liam stepped into the house. He would acknowledge my presence, and head towards the dinning table and from the couch, Patricia and myself watch as they begin talking strategy.

However, their discussion would be caught short by the sudden screams outside the house and at that moment, I heard a growl from Felix.

"We have been invaded!" He mentioned and turned immediately to Patricia. "Keep her safe inside."

"No! If this is Ryker, I would like to meet him face to face, I am tired of running away from him. I want to be able to confront my fears."


"Listen Aurora, we don't know what lies outside that door, I am trying to protect you. Patricia and yourself should remain back."

"Thank you very much, but I want you to stay safe." I pleaded and Felix smiled, pecking Patricia on the cheeks afterwards and heading out the house with Liam by his side.

I made my way to the window, as Patricia and I gasped, seeing the smokes coming out of the houses across.

"He is a monster!" Patricia expressed.

We noticed Felix take down one of the soldiers who had invaded a house and while I was glad, our joy would be momentarily caught short, the moment with Ryker attacking him and dealing him with heavy blows.

"Stay back, I will not allow him lay hands on my mate like that." Patricia begged and immediately I noticed her wolf surfacing and she stepped out of the house immediately, before i could stop her.

I could only watch on horror as she confronts Ryker, who was swift to see an impending damger and neutralizing Patricia almost immediately.

I couldn't bare watching them being destroyed, Ryker had gone stronger and it was obvious he could kill them.

I summoned enough courage and stepped out of the room to confront him, knowing i was disobeying Felix instructions.

"Well....well...well, look who we have here." Ryker commented, the moment I stepped out of the house.

"Aurora No!" Felix and Patricia yelled simultaneously.

"Let them go!" I ordered.

"And what if I don't? You must really think you are smart huh? I want you to understand that anything happening, you are the main cause. I never asked for you to run away, but you disobeyed me. Now I am going to make sure that I make you pay for it."

Felix attempted to side step Ryker, but the latter had seen him in that moment and sucked underneath, clawing out his face immediately.

"Stop!" I yelled, having seen enough already.

"Oh I am not done sweetheart." I watched in horror as he pulled Felix up, like he was nothing and slam him into a huge tree. "I am trying to break you bit by bit. You know exactly what to say and then all these would end." He said with a smirk.

I watched as he approached Patricia amd raised her up, pulling out his claw, while staring at me. I knew what he was about to do.

"Stop! Please stop! I beg you." I said with tears swelling upy eyes. "I am going to go with you back to the pack." I added.

"That's what i am talking about sweetheart." He said letting Patricia go. "No lead the way." He said stretching his hands.

"Aurora, please don't!" Patricia stated.

"I am sorry, I can't allow you die." I said with tears in my eyes, while approaching Ryker, who had a hideous smirk on his face.
