Chapter Eight: Need To Escape From Ryker

I hated jerking up from my state of sleep, it simply proved how restless my whole body could look like. Staring up at the ceiling, I knew I was in a new environment. I slowly got up from what appeared to be a mat with a banging headache.



Where am I? My memory was foggy with little or no information to process. The door suddenly opened and a dark skinned man stepped into the room. He didn't look like a wolf and his demeanor screamed dangerous but also seemed calm.





"Great to see you are awake." He said with a smile, moving past the mat to the table, where he held up a cup.






"Where am I?" I asked.







"You don't need to worry, you are genuinely safe." He replied coming over to my presence and handing a cup to me. "Here, drink it your head pain would ease down."






I stared at the cup for a moment then looking up in his direction suspiciously. "You should be grateful you are alive. You drank poison in your system and that's what pulled you to this place in the first place." I gasped upon hearing the story.







"But that can't be!" The moment I made that comment, something flew directly into my mind and I grabbed on my belly in fear, looking up at the man.





"You don't need to worry, the baby is okay. I have to say he is very strong. There are some kids who would die from these poison." I felt anxious and filled with thoughts.





Who would want to kill my child? I haven't done any wrong to anyone.





"Take a nap, I would be right back." He instructed, dropping the cup on the floor and heading out of the room. While he was out, I stared at the cup and realize that the drink was a familiar one, based on the scent.




I gulped the entire content and my pains instantly disappeared. Calm and collected, I began to think of a way to return back to the pack mansion. If whatever the stranger had said was true, then I needed to let Felix know.





I summoned the strength I could get and immediately got up to my feet. My entire joint was sore, but I was able to get myself back up. I walked towards the window, which led outside and checked through.






The stranger was speaking to someone and for a moment I didn't want to bother, till I noticed the man he was speaking to had a spear in his bag.




Alert! I already knew the category of people with those sort of weapon; Ryker.




I looked around the room, thinking of a way to get out of the room. I knew there was something strange about the man and now that I knew he was an allies for the Ryker, I couldn't stay here any longer.





Suddenly, I noticed the edge of the mat I laid upon covered something. Lowering myself through the pain, I pulled the mat away and I smiled seeing it was an underground doorway.





I didn't care where this door way's direction seemed to go, but it was safer than staying in the room with the same man.





Carefully, I lowered myself down to the underground tunnel. The tunnel was dark and I didn't had any touch to lite up the place. I navigated my way through the dark till rays of light pulled my attention to a certain direction.


Once I arrived at the destination, I realize the lights were coming from outside and what separated me from the outer world was a door. For a moment I knew the most possible way to pull down the door was simply to break it.






Summoning all the strength I had within, I used my body as a tool and although the ache remained, I was glad I was finally out!

Isabella POV





The night was getting nearer and I was certain Felix would be in his chambers. I stared down at the mirror at my revealing night gown. It was the most seductive wears and there was one purpose I hoped to achieve with it....

Get Felix to have sex with me





When I arrived at his chambers, I hesitated for a moment, pushing down the night gown to show more cleavage. I knocked at the door and after a moment, I heard his voice requiring that I stepped inside.




"What do you want?" Felix asked.




"Stop acting that you aren't happy to see me..." I stared, walking seductively over to the bed, where he was laying down. "I can see how lonely you are and that is why I am here.." I added placing my legs on his.





"Isabella , stop." His voice was hard and I knew I still had effect on him. I am Isabella after all, the chief seductress in the entire kingdom.





"You want me to stop, but your body craves to be touched." I pulled myself towards him, trailing my hands up on his chest. "In as much as you wouldn't confess, I know you miss me and I miss you as well." My hands slowly moved down from his chest down to his lower region, slightly getting down to his pants.






"Enough!" His growl pulled my hands back. "Listen to me Isabella , you are slowly getting on my nerves and I don't want to end your life!" He spat venom in my direction.





"You can't be too harsh on me Felix , I am sorry." I leaned closer and close till I could feel his breath on my face. He grabbed my face ever so gently and I was thrilled as I believed I had him where I want him.

"Listen really well Isabella ..." He leaned close to my ears and whispered. "If you ever come near me again, I will rip your heart out and feed them to the beds. You are merely lucky my hands are on your face not piercing down your bones." Fear rocked my entire body as I felt the threat down to my spine.





I pulled away from him and stepped away from the bed, utterly disappointed that my plans had not work. I looked at him one last time and he acted like nothing had happened, returning back to sipping his wine and staring into space.





Once outside his chambers I was pissed. Felix has slowly escaped my seduction and it was not a good thing.




One thing was certain, I am going to get Felix either through the easy way or the hard way.
