Chapter 9: the outing

As I got his things from his and met with him in the car, we both drove off to meet with his friends and when we got their things that I saw left me mesmerized and I couldn't believe my eyes, I kept wondering and asking myself does this place exist could what I am seeing be true because I have never heard of such a place talk more of being here, it was more less a small paradise. Heaven on Earth. I look round and round till I lost my way and almost hit my leg on a chair, I felt so fucking ashamed of myself for acting like an uncivilized lady who had just came from one underdeveloped country and had never seen the light of the day.
“Hey, you watch it, watch where you are going and don't embarrass me here in front of my friends,” he said with a demanding and possessive voice.
Then I comport myself and I knew I had fucked up, so I stood aside and let him lead the way while I follow behind him. On getting to the table where his friends sat together with their wives and fiance, they all looked so cute, sexy and beautiful and well dressed, and I was the only one different in dressing and felt out in all.
I muttered to myself hey Cynthia this is not the place for you, you are not supposed to be here, low self-esteem was what I was feeling, I couldn't communicate freely and everything that they were doing there was like a film to me.
The only thing I was able to do was to introduce myself. As one of them saw me came in with him.
“Bob who is this beautiful damsel with you, or is she the one,” said Mike.
“Oh and she's so beautiful, look at her cute smiles,” said Lisa.
“Oh no, no I think you guys are misunderstanding things here,” he said.
“So tell us what is it you think we misunderstood,” said josh.
“Oh common Bob she's very pretty so need to deny her, if not then why to bring her here,” said Kate.
“Common guys please give us some break, she's my new secretary and I just decided to bring her along that's all,” he said.
“So Mrs or miss secretary what's your name”? Asked Flora.
“Oh sorry, it's a miss, Cynthia Anderson,” I said.
“Nice, I am Flora Shaw,” said Flora.
“I am mike Johnson,” said Mike.
“I am Lisa Dave,” said Lisa.
“And I am Dan Edgar,” said Dan.
“I am Kate Ederson,” said Kate.
“And I am Josh Smith,” said Josh.
“So how is working with Bob been”? Asked Lisa.
“It's nice working with him, though today is my first day at the office and working with him but I see him be an easy going person and working with him isn't going to be a problem,” I said.
“You think so, it's because he hasn't yelled at you with his loud and possessive voice,” said Smith.
“I don't think it will ever come to that and even if it does I see him be a gentleman who wouldn't want to hurt a lady even at the workplace,” I said.
“Enough of the interrogation and someone go get us something to drink,” said Bob.
“That's true, so miss Anderson what will you like to take,” asked Mike.
“Two shots of vodka would do,” I said.
And then Mike called for the waiters and he came and took our orders and that's was the only conversation I was able to make as I looked like a fool in their midst while they gist and laugh at one another talking about their escaustions and places which they have been to and the incidence that occurred during each trip.
Any of those places mentioned have never been there before and so don't know how to join their conversation.
“Remaster our first trip to Alberta lovers Paradise in Canada and that was where and when I met Lisa, my wife,” said Mike.
“How would we ever forget that, that was one of my best vacations ever, Canada is a nice country,” said Bob.
“Then and the incident where we got drunk and you left your wallet and your phone, had it been not for Flora you would have lost them that very day, said Dan.
“The next morning I was where the fuck is my wallet and my phone, cause I know I came into my room with those, with a drunken eye I was looking for them before I could no it, I find myself throwing up all over the places,” said Bob.
“And I had to take you to the shower, to shower you, that's the funniest part,” said Smith.
“And that was the funniest part of it, but it wasn't that funny though being taken to the shower and showered by my fellow guy and I couldn't bring myself to forget that,” said Bob.
And they all laughed over it.
“And the day we went to the park and we saw beautiful animals, I wish to go back to Canada one more time, said Dan.
“What about the hiking we went for in Australia, that I alsomt fell from the rock, I could see the Dans' face his eyes popped out like it was about to fall,” said Flora.
“You wouldn't understand how I felt and what was going through my mind as at then when you were sliding down, it was like my world was coming to an end,” said Dan.
“Why did you say that”? Aske smith.
“I can't find myself loving another woman if anything had happened to her,” said Dan.
Wow, I muttered that was the sweetest story I have heard so far. As I got irritated by the situation of not being able to commune with them or even add a word to their conversation I had to excuse myself and left to the restroom, where I stayed for some minutes and when I came out I had to go meet with him and whispered to his ear “ please can I have the car key I need to rest my head” I said.
As he handed the key to me I now excused myself and went to the car, there I was till I checked my time and it was eleven twenty-five.
“Is this how he usually spends his day and still manages to wake up and come to work early,” I said.
Not quite long he approached me in the car while lapping his lips together with his eyes to deem showing a sign that he has consumed too much alcohol.
“Would like to go home now, or you are comfortable here”?
He asked.
“I would have loved to go home, but you are with your friends and I wouldn't want to cut short your fun,” I said.
“If that be the case, why not come join us, come stay with us so you won't get bored or lonely,” h said.
“Don't worry about me I am fine, just go enjoy yourself with your friends whenever you are ready to home then we shall leave,” said.
“Okay then,” he said. As he walks back to his friend and chit chat, but he keeps looking back to the car to check on me and then he grew tired and weary then he stood up and gave them a handshake and hug the ladies then he walked back.
“Common put on the seatbelt let's go,” he said as he opened the car stepped in shot the door and zoomed off at a high speed.
“Why did you leave us to go sit in the car alone”? He asked.
“It was nothing, I only thought it wise to allow you, people, some space to catch up and have some fun,” I said.
“But why was that, did we ask you to go? No, we didn't you only decided and thought it was the right thing to do,” he said.
“Well I am sorry if that made you feel bad, but I just it was the right thing, since I was new and I don't have ideas on what you people were talking about,” I said.
“Alright then if you say so,” he said.
Then we all kept quiet as he drives till we got home and then I went to my room took a shower and went to the kitchen to prepare dinner for us, cause I noticed they were just busy consuming alcohol and nothing like food.
After some minutes I came out of the kitchen, set the tables and went for him to come to eat only to find him in the gym room doing some workout and then the flashback of the dream flashed through again and I couldn't help but stand to stare at him, the way his muscles raises each time he lifts the weight, his broad chest, six-packs I stood there not knowing when he approached me before I could know I could feel lips coming close to mine but I couldn't resist and I also wanted to kiss him.
“What's wrong with you, you are here but you are not here, what were you thinking,”? He asked.
“Oh nothing I only came to calm you for dinner,” I said.
“That's very nice of you as if you knew I was hungry,” he said. As he walks to the dining.
