49 | The Line Between Sin and Sinner
"*He placed his hands on my mind before reaching for my waist, my hips, or my lips. He didn't call me beautiful first. He called me exquisite ― how he touches me." - Rupi Kaur*
**Third Person POV**
It was already evening when Sienna walked back to the church and saw the figure of a man disappearing into the ground as her curious eyes followed. She could barely make out before she watched the shining car raced past the gates of the school.
Her brows raised for a second.
Ever since she has stepped into this small town called Galena, she had hardly seen anything of value. And that was the kind of car she had grown up with — rich and opulent. Did that come here to meet Gabriel? She wondered as she lazily strolled back to the altar behind the church.
Unlike all the other times, the school and church premises were empty. Everyone has left for their homes during the holidays, while Sienna chose to come back. Her heart and soul belonged here — at Mount Carmel.
She found Gabriel outside the confessional booth, tapping something on the phone’s screen. As she neared, his attention turned to her. He locked the phone and shoved it back into his pocket.
“Hey.”
“I saw someone walking out,” Sienna said with curiosity. “Do you know that man?”
“Kind of.” He shrugged but remained guarded. “Why?”
“Who is it?”
“A sinner,” he answered vaguely, making Sienna roll her petulant eyes.
“Please don’t tell me he came here to confess?” She laughed.
“Would that be so terrible?” The young priest challenged. “Once in a while, every man wants to confess his sins — whether in public or in private — in the hope of redemption.”
Sienna jerked a thumb backwards in gesture. “I saw the car he was driving. It is a limited edition Aston Martin. And trust me, one who drives a car that fancy would not even fear the devil.”
The confidence with which she spoke made it clear that she had come across many men in her life like that. Filthy rich, influential and devilish. She has come to believe that men like that are inherently wicked and hopelessly irredeemable.
“Maybe, you are right. He is the devil.” Gabriel smiled cryptically and then changed the subject. “Where have you been all morning?”
“Umm. I was with Harper.”
His brow raised in question. “Hiding from me?”
She felt the blush creep up her cheeks and slightly looked down. “I thought you needed some time — you know…” Sienna tucked a few stray hairs behind her ear and cleared her throat. “…to think this through. It’s a lot to take in, Gabriel.”
Sienna did not expect him to fully understand the situation, but she just wanted to get the weight off his chest. She did not want any lies between them. For what it’s worth, she bared her soul, and ironically, left everything in God’s hands.
Maybe she was becoming religious, after all.
Gabriel shook his head, assuring her. “It is nothing I cannot handle.”
True, he has seen and done worse. Being a dominant man in the bed was just one of his many sins.
“So to make things clear between us, Gabriel, I was not using you,” Sienna said. “I knew that my fate was tied to Zak Abbott, and what happened between us — I mean — it was…”
“Sienna—”
She raised a hand and stopped him. “Please, let me say it. What I felt for you, whatever that happened between us, it’s genuine. I know you have reservations — your priesthood, vows and responsibilities. You have a lot of things at stake, maybe more than I do. But it’s difficult to stay away from you.”
Gabriel looked at her, letting the slow seconds pass between them before he extended his palm in invitation. “Come here.” It was not a request but a command. His steely voice and determined stormy eyes made it clear.
“Gabriel—” Her lips trembled a little, and Gabriel did not wait for her to obey. Instead, he simply reached out and caught her elbow, jerking her to himself.
“Shh.” He breathed against her velvet skin and brought his mouth close to her ear lobes. “You worry too much. Let me take the decisions for both of us, and then you can tell me if you disagree. Okay?”
“Okay.”

Gabriel brought Sienna to his rectory once again, and the rosary he had been holding on to since he met Marco was deposited into the drawer by his bedside desk. When he turned around and locked eyes with Sienna, there was nothing but barely restraint, sinister energy rolling off him
Without breaking the intense stare, he reached out to take off the collar and then began to unbutton the pitch-black shirt.
“Lock the door behind you,” he ordered like a lazy royal, expecting to have him obey.
Sienna did not know her heart could race so fast when she heard him say those words, and there was no mistake in what that meant. But at the same time, she was scared for Gabriel.
“Gabriel, I hope you know what you are doing,” she cautioned. Sienna did not want him to break the rules for her, no matter how much she wanted him.
His eyes narrowed on her while his fingers unbuckled the thick leather belt, and in a flash, he pulled it out. It made a terrifying sound, cutting into the air with a snap as Sienna stumbled back from the sound of it.
“I said - lock the doors,” he repeated. His voice was colder than before.
As if on auto-pilot, Sienna turned around and locked the door with a steel bolt. It crashed with a sound of a heavy hammer, blaring a certain warning. When she whirled around to face him, Gabriel had already unbuttoned the shirt. His bare chest was peeking through, the abs ready to make an appearance as he worked on the buttons on the wrist.
“You need to learn to follow my orders,” he spoke in his husky, dominant voice without bothering to look up at her.
Sienna chewed her lips in anticipation while he struggled to unbutton the last one. Something brave within her pushed her forward as she walked up to him. Her fingers grabbed his hand and pushed it aside, unfastening the difficult one.
“There. You are done,” she announced with a nervous smile.
But the rosiness melted when her eyes met the intent, powerful ones. Every cell in her body went quaked. He kept her pinned with those grey eyes, studying her as if he could see through her soul.
“What did tell you before?” he asked, testing her.
Sienna struggled to recall but tried. “That you are dominant?”
His head shook in response.
“Er…” Her brain has just stopped working. “Um…you want to me follow the order?”
“Yes. I hope you know what you are getting into, Sienna,” he warned.
“I have nothing to lose, Gabriel. But you have. Please don’t do it for me. I cannot bear to carry the cross my entire life knowing I was a regret to you.”
His hand closed around the upper arm, firmly enough to make it known to her that she had nowhere to go. “You are anything but a regret to me, Sienna.”
“You don’t know the future,” she retorted.
His lips curved into a giant smile. Gabriel ran a finger down her cheek, her neck, across the tops of her cleavage - relishing. His touch burned through her, leaving her with an aching need. Sienna almost lost track of their conversation.
“Please,” her throat croaked.
He titled his head. “I haven’t even begun, and you are already begging me, little lamb?” He taunted.
His scent intoxicated her. “You are a fucking tease, Gabriel Sullivan,” she half-groaned and half-grunted.
“You don’t even know the half of it.”
There was a discreet smile on his lips that did not reach his eyes. In fact, the grey orbs were dark and ominous. His fingers stilled against her skin as he took a step forward. Instinctively, Sienna backed up.
He had the power to push her through without even touching her. Gabriel kept advancing, his features stern and the tendons straining in his throat. Finally, when her back was plastered against the walls, he caged her, just like yesterday.
“Do you know what am I about to do to you?” He growled lowly, menacingly.
Sienna shook her head, but the devious idea did cross her mind. She just did not dare to utter it.
“I have wanted to do this ever since you walked into my office the first day,” he revealed. “I wanted to do every time you dared to defy me so blatantly.”
Her body reacted instantly, heating, pulsing. Sienna arched her spine a little and pushed up against his throbbing member.
“I am nervous,” she breathed. Not scared, worried or doubtful. Just plain nervous.
“You should be,” was all that he muttered.
One moment she was arching up to him, and in the next, was the sound of tearing fabric cut through the air. Before she could even let out a gasp, Gabriel grabbed the V of her neckline and parted the fabric like a hungry animal.
“What..you—”
He turned her around, a little roughly, and pressed her against the wall. Her bra endured the ruthless treatment; the wire destroyed as he yanked the top and tattered bra off her body.
“This is how I wanted you, Sienna,” he almost grunted in her ears, grabbing a fistful of her hair to pull her head back. “This is how I have wanted to take you since the first day. And you think I am the better man?”
In every universe, he was the man she craved.
“Take me, Gabriel. Fuck me. And make me yours.”
