The Wine Gifts

Master Ramirez Lewis was tending to the plants in the garden at the courtyard built on a low bridge when Stefan walked in looking nervous, touching his stomach countlessly. When he got closer to Master Ramirez, he started coughing and holding to his stomach as though he was still very ill.




" Goodness, I heard you asked for me." He said, bowing his head. He moved to where Master Ramirez had his chair and table and they both sat down.




"Yes. The sound of your cough is nice and clear. I guess you must be feeling much better now." Old Reyes said.




"I still feel dizzy and nauseous. I still keep fainting. But, I am getting better thanks to you." Stefan pretended.




" I saw you and your maid, energetically walking around this morning. How strange is that?" 

Stefan closed his eyes as though not to hear what he said.

"Hey, come and stand here. I need to take something from you." Old Reyes ordered loudly. Old Reyes quickly folded the hands of his rope. 




"Before you do, I brought something for you."




" For me?" 




"Back then when I was a child, I let loose a bunch of goats in your medicinal herb. And I know you have hated me since." Stefan continued.




" Those goats ate all the medicinal herbs and are still living till this day."




" Even so, you still saved my life and kept me alive. I am extremely grateful for that."




" I thought you were a complete lout, but I guessed you have learnt how to express your gratitude." Old Reyes was surprised.




" I have prepared something for you." Stefan said smiling. Calling on Maidservant Kim to come in.

Lady Kim walked in with a tray of golden wrapped wine and some cupcakes. She placed the tray on the table and began to unclog it.




"This wine was made with spring water from volcanic Island in Southern Elysia. It is a dark wine, the best you can find in Elysia. Young master Donovan said he wanted to thank you,so I went through great lengths to acquire it." She passed the wine to Master Ramirez smiling. 

   Master Ramirez began laughing profusely running his hands over the table to reach the wine.




" This is a rare delicacy." Old Reyes was overwhelmed. He perceived the fragrance of the wine closely and seemed pleased with it

"But do I only get one bottle?" He asked.




Lady Kimberly shook her head sidewardly indicating that there was more. She clapped her hands twice and a guard came out with a tray of three more bottles of the same wine. Old Reyes jumped up on his feet laughing out loud and clapping, hitting Stefan on the shoulder.




"You're a man who knows how to express gratitude." Master Ramirez said to Stefan. Stefan kept nodding his head and smiling as well.

" Maidservant Kim, you raised him well, you really did." He continued to scream and clap excitedly.




"Thank you." Lady Kimberly smiled.




" Being it, Bring it. My Goodness gracious." Master Ramirez, took out the wines from the trays and got them on the table. Maidservant Kim and Stefan eyed themselves in satisfaction. 

      




    About this time an entry into The Martinez family is made, as the learn of Stefan's gate of energy being open. The Martinez's queen Lady Theresa is seen at her courtyard tending to her birds held up high in their best with Katherina standing with a tray of bird food to assist her.




" Mother, Stefan's gate of energy has opened. We could not do anything until now because of the War Lord's order, but does this mean we can accept him into the family now?" Katherina asked innocently.




 " That boy called off the engagement after he used you. Yet you still like him?" 




"I was the one who used him to my advantage. His gate of energy was closed so I used it against him to try and make him live with us."




" Do not distort the truth. He offered to come live with us if we helped him open his gate. That is how he seduced you. Lady Theresa said, still tending to her birds.




" It ended up happening anyways, if you had opened his gate of energy back then, you would have gotten a son-in-law and I would have married the man I wanted to marry." Katherina was saddened




" Katherina, the son of the Donovan family whose gate of energy is now opened, can never be my son-in-law. You will have to take up your sister's place and become the leader that guards Lewisville for the family. Find a man who would support your course" Lady Theresa turned around this time to look at her.




" If my sister had not died, I would have gotten married to the man I love." Katherina said, saddened and frustrated. Unknown to her, her mother goes into grief after hearing those words. Katherina notices the changes on her face and turns to look out for her.

" I apologize, mother." She said again. Lady Theresa is livid and turns to collect the feeds from her.




" Go and see if Tiwa's pottery is back to one piece again." 




"Alright." Katherina left her mother in the pen house.

  A part of the The Martinez house where the heirloom is kept happens to be another magical room surrounded with beautiful, magical and power artifacts. Katherina walks to the flowered door and casts a spell on the flowers as it turns into a door. She walks into the room to see Tiwa.

Tiwa was placed on a beautiful table to form back it's broken pieces.

" Stefan even broke this precious Tiwa, what if I ask him to marry me in return? I bet he will refuse." She said softly.
