"Why you're so serious Dad?" I open it when I enter the kitchen. Even though he looks straight at the food, he obviously doesn’t have the focus there.
I sat down next to it, and the maid immediately took my plate.
"I just watched the news about the accident that happened to the Montevero brothers, just a few kilometers away from the scene of the accident at the hotel." Oh so that's why. Is it saddened by the accident that happened to the Monteveros? I can't figure out what Dad is really thinking right now.

Carolina blushed. It continued eating quietly. Fortunately, he followed Aunty.

"On tv uncle," Denard said then pointed to the tv in the living room. "
I sighed. I thought Dad and I would be late. I mouthed thank you to Denard. It sat next to me.
I looked back at Dad. His gaze was fixed on me. I smiled at this reason for him to look away from me. What is going on with Dad?
"We're still investigating how the car of the two Monteveros lost its brakes. We're looking into whether it was foul play or an accident. What do you think about it, Denard?"
"It could be both Tito. With the amount of enemies and competitors the Monteveros have in business, that's probably one of the reasons why they had an accident, or it might be Tito's karma."
"Denard's right Dad," I said.
"What do you mean?"
"They've done a lot of bad things so it's probably karma Dad." It's karma and her name is Lineah.
I am the karma of the Montevero brothers. I will make sure that their deception and exaggeration against the people will end. I will serve as justice for the people they have tortured and hurt.
"I don't think this will happen to them. Maybe they are cunning in business but they are still kind. I don't think anyone can do that to them."
I swallowed. I can’t fake a smile now because of the anger that surrounds me. Why is Dad like this? Why in his eyes do the Montevero brothers look like saints ?! Why is he so kind to them? He even managed to get past their abduction of me. Killing my mother who was his wife and taking over the company!
I smiled at the palm. I turned to Denard as he held my hand. He gave me a meaningful look. I took a deep breath. I pursed my lips and reached for his hands, I squeezed it to tell him I was fine.
"I'm thankful for those people who did that."
We turned our attention to the newly arrived Titus Ephraim.
"I mean if it's not really an accident, I salute to those people who made them pay because they deserved it." his bitter promise.
Dad's forehead furrowed.
"Ephraim, how can you say that? Sergio is our friend, it's his sons--"
"Our friend who turned his back when we needed him." its promise is emphatic. The two looked at each other.
I'm sure I'm not the only one who can sense the tension between the two.
"Let's not talk about Montevero's can we?" ani ko. The two nodded, Tito Ephraim stood beside Denard. Opposite it was Tyang who was looking at me.

He sighed.
"This is the only plan we have now. We can't do what we used to do."

"That won't work. They both own it, you still need the signature of that stupid Theron." Denard said.
Shit! I close my eyes tightly.
"They will be busy looking for Thander Montevero while Theron is still in the hospital."
"How is he? Is he okay?"
Denard's eyes narrowed. I gulped.
"I mean... I want to know if he's injured enough." Right! I want to know if that animal is still hurting!
"According to the news he was just injured."

"Then how should we do this?"
Denard stared at me.
"We need to go back to the rest house to see him. We need to have a plan before Denard and I go there. I can't risk going there without a plan."
"We need to get that idiot to sign the papers."
"But how? He won't just sign it if he can't get anything," I said.

Denard's forehead furrowed.

Tito Ephraim has a point. When there was, I did not separate the two. There is always one for the other and Tito Ephraim is right, in everything they divide... I must be the one who knows the habits and actions of the two because I get along better with them. I know for a fact that they share everything.
