"Hey ..."
I turned the man on my back. We are currently at the table to eat for breakfast.
"Dad! Good morning." I kissed him on the cheeks and put my gaze back at the news on the TV.
"I didn't know you were fond of news, son."
"Hmmm?" I stared at it.
"That's good because you're updated on what's going on around. You can use that in business."
"Ah... Y-yes Dad you're right. I'm actually watching news for business purposes." I'm sorry even though the truth is I'm just looking forward to the news.
Almost a week ago when Theron and Thander escaped, until now there is still no news on whether they have returned to their mansion or what.
I can't help but be worried and nervous, maybe that's one of the reasons why I feel dizzy and vomit sometimes but it disappears immediately so I don't pay attention anymore.

I sighed.

After dinner, Dad returned to his office while I helped Tyang to clean up.

I stopped to see Dad, turning around and standing near the drawer where the company files were. "Dad, are you here? Are you looking for something? Let me help you."
"No need, I found it." he said then lifted the papers he was holding into the air.
My eyes widened as I realized what he was holding.
"How did you get this Lineah?"
I gulped. "D-dad ... I ... I don't know--"
"Don't lie to me, Lineah. I didn't raise you but I know your aunt didn't raise a liar." he emphatically promised.
My eyes went down to the ground.
"How did you have these papers? How was Salvatore Corporation transferred to your name?"
"I just took what was ours."
"How?"
I heave a deep sigh. "I'll answer you if you answer my question Dad."
"I'm the one--"
"Please ..."
"What is Lineah?"
"Why didn't you tell me you suspected you were in an accident?"
"You shouldn't be meddling with past ---"
"I have the right to meddle on your past, Dad. Your past is the root of everything that happened to me. Because of that accident my life came to a standstill ..." The bottom of my eyes began to get hot .
"What do you mean?"
"I'm kidnapped ..."
"What ?!"
"The Montevero brothers stared at me because they wanted revenge on you because they believed you were to blame for why their brother died ..." my voice croaked. I can't fight my own tears, it flowed down my cheeks.
"I-if they hadn't kidnapped me you might have found me earlier ... I-I would have known my mother ..."
Tears kept streaming down my cheeks. My father kissed me.
"I'm sorry Lineah ... It was all my fault. If you hadn't disappeared when you were a child you wouldn't have stayed away from us, you wouldn't have gone through all the hardships."
"It's alright ..." I stare at him. "I know you didn't do it Dad and I will find out who did."
"No, you won't." he emphatically promised.
"Why?" Does it mean that Dad do it? Why doesn't he want me to know who the real culprit is?
"You're already in trouble, Lineah."
I could do nothing but follow my father. It also confirmed the accident that happened then. But he didn’t tell me everything.
I can't act or take action to find out who really caused the accident because of what I did to Theron. I didn’t mention Denard and Tito Ephraim as well as the details of the plan and whatnot to my father. They don't need to be involved in this, they already have a lot of problems.
But I can't help but wonder if Tito Ephraim really did all that... But it's very impossible.
I couldn't sleep all night thinking about everything that had happened. The next morning I didn't want to leave the room but I had to because today Carl and Carolina will be visiting with their boyfriend and girlfriend.
The morning passed quickly, Carl introduced us to Erika, his girlfriend. Carolina is the same, Echo is her boyfriend who is also Erika's sister.
Somehow I lost track of the problem. Dad hasn't called me yet. It left early, I didn’t know where he was going. Neither Denard nor Tito Ephraim would make sense.
"Hey let's go out!" Carolina's suggestion.
"Let's go!"
"I'm in!"
Others agreed.
"Maybe you're just Carolina. I need you as fast as possible--" she cut me off.

"Join that one." Aunty laughed.
I have their attention, waiting for my answer.
I sighed.
"Alright!" I chuckled.
We were in the mall all day, we watched three movies all day, in between we would eat or go around or buy something. Tyang should have come with me so that I wouldn't be the third wheel of these guys.
"Carolina I'll be the first, maybe Dad will go home to the mansion, we'll talk more."
"Is that serious?" Her lips protruded. "That can't be tomorrow?"
"Do you have anything else to do? It's already midnight."
"Tsk! What are you, we're just starting to enjoy it!" she laughed.
"I'm tired so I'll go first."

“Yes,” I said.

We said our goodbyes. Even its boyfriends and girlfriends. Echo and Erika are lucky because they are both kind, so are Carl and Carolina because they also look kind and good people, beautiful and handsome.

It's time to go home.

The police car also stopped in the back of my car. I glanced in the rearview mirror at the police car. Dropped wearing a police jacket and hat from there.

Letse naman! My throat is still dry! Why now? I'm still sleepy! Maybe that's what I can tell the police. Can't I be kidnapped for the kidnapping I committed?

He knocked on the car mirror, introduced his police ID and then signaled for me to come out. I took a deep breath first.

"Good evening Sir? What's the problem? I'm not speeding, I'm not drunk and I haven't broken any laws--"
"Are you sure of that Miss?" said the baritone voice of the policeman.
There is only a pole light here so I can't see his face well but the volume of his katana seems familiar to me because he is tall. Even in a jacket, his body looks muscular.

He leaned forward.
