TWELVE
Curious at the structure in front of them, Ashley asked, “Where is this?”
“This is where I live.”
“You live in a…”
“Wait, before you say the actual name, I want you to see inside. It is an amazing sight.”
“Okay.” On getting inside, indeed, she was amazed. Gasping at the exquisiteness that the trailer held inside its space, Ashley wondered. “Why do you live here? It is a small space.”
Taking a seat on the couch close to the entrance, Dave replied, “What is the use of a huge space if I don’t end up using most of it? Look at this place, everything I need is in here, so I don’t see the need to waste money on a mansion or something.”
“Hm.” Ashley hummed as she reasoned his statement. Taking a seat next to him, she continued to survey the trailer with amazement. He might not love spending money on huge spaces, but the cash he used to furnish his house was not ordinary.
“Do I get a tour of your wonderful, fun house?”
“Why not? So this couch right here doubles as a bed.”
“I am so jealous of you. I find it hard to sleep on my couch at home.”
Dave went on to caress the deep purple couch. “This is my most favourite thing in this house, comes in handy whenever I am very tired after a long day at work.” Nodding, Ashley looked ahead at what seemed to be the living room the door after that exposed part of a well furbished kitchen. Looking to her right, a huge bed was in sight.
“I think I just did the tour myself without getting up.”
“The perks of having a small space, guests don’t have to stress to have a tour. Do you want something to drink?”
“Yeah. Do you have wine?”
He got up, all excited. “Of course I have wine. I’ll be right back.”
Few minutes later, he came bearing a bottle of wine and two wine cups. “I have started making some popcorn for the movie.”
She helped him with the cups. “Movie?”
“What? Did you think you were coming somewhere with a Ferris wheel?”
“Well, you did say the place you would be taking me to will be fun.”
“My house is fun. When we start watching the movie, you will see.”
“Okay Dave, you don’t have to be so defensive.” He poured her some of the red liquid and she smiled in appreciation.
Quietly, they both sipped from their glasses, eyes away from each other. Ashley wondered when the popcorn would be done as the atmosphere was becoming awkward. “Ashley Steve?”
“Yeah?” The merging of their lips was what followed as she turned to face Dave. It became as though Ashley had been eagerly waiting for him to do it, she dragged at his hair to bring him a little closer. His hands enclosing around her waist, her emotions previously all jumbled up suddenly letting go, she gave in to the intense moment happening between the both of them.
She was going to forget all of her issues and just let Dave kiss her and she wasn’t going to have regrets if more happened.
Reaching for the sides of her head, Dave pulled back, placed his forehead against hers and stared right into her eyes. “I have been thinking of doing that again all day.”
Ashley found herself smiling widely. “Why don’t you stop thinking and do it again? Right now.”
“Your wish is my command, Ashley Steve.” Feeling thrilled at the way he slowly said her name, Ashley excitedly returned his resumed kiss with even more hunger within. Dave’s hands travelling to her back to caress the little exposed skin ignited the hunger even more.
Ashley found herself pushing towards him. She wanted more, she wanted to feel more. “Come here,” he was swift to lift her and place her on top of him. Looking down at him, Ashley could not help but grin at the idea that he wanted her as much as she did.
“Mmm.” Their lips connected again. But this time it was different. This time, his hands were traveling to places she liked, their bodies were syncing even with just clothes on.
Friction between their regions increasing by the second, Ashley was beginning to feel it, her lost wave of pleasure. It had been a while since she felt like that. In fact, to be honest, what she was experiencing with Dave had never happened before. Ashley had never knew how much sexual doors she had locked within her.
But, at that moment, they were opening one after the other and Ashley knew she was really going to give herself to the gorgeous man.
“Stop thinking so much Ashley and help me with your top.” Dropping the wine glass she had forgotten was in her hand onto a box close by, her hands did as he asked and soon the swell of her chests stared right into Dave’s eyes.
“Ohh Dave,” she cried as he licked the skin of her breasts slowly. His sensuous lips going on to kiss her shoulder, then her neck, then her jaws, he finally settled on her lips.
“I. Can’t . Believe. This. is. Happening.” He punctuated each word with short kisses which were accompanied by a lot of tongue action. Ashley could not help but smile as she was beginning to feel pleasured, that too by Dave Scott.
Looking down at him, her fingers crawled to his chin and she held him there to have better assess to his eyes. His beautiful eyes. “I can’t believe either,” she whispered, her eyes closing after, as Dave’s hand went to work and began to caress her back all over. Huge hands circled her back, all the way to the side of her breasts and it felt so good, so damn good.
“I like that we are taking this risk.” She opened her eyes to look into his which never derailed from watching her. “Hearing you moan to my touch has to be my favourite sound henceforth.”
Sighing with relief, Ashley sat back into his hands that held her securely. “You always find a way to be corny. It is cute.”
Silence ensued. But Ashley was not aware of that fact. She was busy drowning with new found joy within her, into the man’s eyes.
But that was soon broken as Ashley suddenly recalled something. “Hey, weren’t you making popcorn?”
“Jeez, I totally forgot.”
“Oh my God, Dave,” Ashley chuckled as she wrapped her legs around his waist to prevent her from falling. “Warn a lady whenever you decide to get up that way.”
“You think I would have let you fall? You don’t need more pain Ashley.”
Another smile playing on her lips, Ashley pushed a loose strand of her hair towards the behind of her ear. Recalling the time Dave mentioned that he noticed that she did that anytime she was nervous, Ashley could feel herself bursting with mushiness within her. Getting off him so that he could go check the popcorn, Ashley had her seat.
Like the kind of person she would always be, she started to reason out the situation.
There was no doubt, she was beginning to have a thing for Dave and it was genuine. She could tell because she never felt that explosive with Kevin, yet she married him because she loved him. Or so she thought.
So, all her crap of telling herself to not get involved was not going to work. The best thing to do was just to go with the situation.
But, there was always the question of what would happen after. As she sank into the couch, she chastised herself. Maybe it was time to stop over analyzing situations and just let things flow. Yes, there is always the question of whether she should will able to bear another heartbreak in case this relationship gets built to a point then crashes.
She already suffered one heartbreak, how hard could another be?
Finally deciding to let go and flow with the moment, Ashley jumped up and walked into the kitchen. “It smells good.” Her hands wrapped around Dave’s waist who was pouring the popcorn into a bowl. “But why do I have a feeling that we will not be eating it immediately?”
“Hmm, I don’t know Ashley Steve,” Soon, her butt was on the kitchen counter and Dave’s chest was tightly glued to hers, his eyes on hers. “I was actually thinking about the same thing.”
“It is good to know that our minds think alike.” She ducked her head a bit to kiss the right side of his mouth, then the other side of his smile. Encouraged by the fact that he was allowing her to do whatever, her lips found his forehead, she planted a short kiss there.
Then, his nose bridge, after, she fixed one on his lips.
“You kiss like someone in pain, Ashley Steve.”
“Well, my husband just ran away with my mother,” she joked as his words settled in her head with great ache.
Dave’s hands covered hers which were stroking his cheeks, he was wearing his seriousness. “Do you want to know why I offered to help fix you? Help take your pain away?”
“Because you are sort of a creep that takes women to cemetery to shoot down papers?”
He gave a hearty chuckle, but his face wore some kind of strange emotion. Sadness maybe. It was so faint, Ashley could not place it. “I…” A ringtone interrupted his words.
“Is that yours?”
“No. I don’t use an iPhone.”
“Oh. It might be important. I hope it is fine that I take this.”
“Yeah, sure.”
Not comfortable with sitting on the kitchen counter, Ashley followed Dave into the room.
“Emily, what’s up?”
With immense interest, Ashley listened.
“Wait, what? What is happening, Emily?” It sounded like a huge problem. Watching Dave’s reaction, Ashley wondered what the problem was. “Okay, okay. Just stay put, I am on my way.”
As he put his phone away, Ashley got up, “What’s wrong?”
“Uh… Emily. She is having um… one of her episodes.”
“Episodes?”
“She sometimes has panic attacks. She is beginning to see signs and no one is at home with her.”
If at all that were true, Ashley felt pity for her. It seemed everyone had a burden of their own after all. “You need to go then. Don’t waste time here. I will see you tomorrow. “
“No, you are coming with me.” Reaching for her tee shirt to put it back on, Ashley frowned. Coming with him for what? “The last time she had a fit, no one was around the office, it was a lot of work, so I would appreciate an extra hand.”
“Alright then.”
“Awesome,” Dave pulled her closer for a quick kiss. When he pulled away, he said, “I can’t wait to do that again and more.”
Shaking her head, biting her lips, to hide her smile, Ashley pushed him lightly, “Let’s just go.”
