Chapter 58. Cindy and Bryan

**58. Cindy and Bryan **

***Third Person's POV:***

Bryan was taken aback when he saw Cindy.
He had patiently awaited the arrival of his mate and had always believed in the existence of pure witchcraft.
Right now, he had come to the library over a small bet with a friend, arguing that there is no such thing as pure witchcraft these days, that it used to exist, but that now there are no real witches, just people who have mugged up some spells to help them. Well, that was what Jake had argued, but Bryan was contradicting his statements, saying pure magic exists, and why wouldn't he? After all, he had witnessed it himself. Today was the first day he felt a little better after all the exhausting events that had occurred since being resurrected.
Today was strangely calming for him. He couldn't explain why, but it felt good. As the debate raged on, Bryan dragged Jake into the library, telling him that there was a book that covered everything there was to know about witchcraft. As he approached the library door, he felt a warm sensation engulf his chest, but his inner self was becoming nervous. As he opened the door, ready to continue his argument, a previously unfamiliar woody fragrance surrounded him.
Cindy felt nervous and excited at the same time. Even though she was trying to stay calm and explain everything to Rafael and Astrid, her entire attention was fixed on the door, and her heart was racing wildly inside her chest.
"Mate!" they both exclaimed in unison.
Bryan moved quickly towards Cindy and backed her into the wall, holding her firm. His beast inside was clawing at him to take her up against the wall and claim her. Astrid's face lit up with joy at seeing Bryan and Cindy so happy. She was overjoyed that they had found each other's mates.
"Uhmmm... Guys, we're in the middle of something; don't you get started here." Rafael said.
"Rafael," Astrid scoffed, attempting to keep him from bothering them, but Rafael had already said the words.
"What?" Rafael turned to face Astrid.
Astrid scoffed. "Give them some time."
"But little dove, we don't have time with us. We have to find this solution first. They can do whatever they want. They have eternity with them to do whatever they want to," Rafael expressed.
"Guys, I apologize for interrupting your moment, but this is important. Can we finish this topic, and then you both will have all of your time to yourselves? I hope you don't mind, Bryan," Astrid asked politely.
Bryan scowled as he drew back and looked at Rafael. Bryan asked, "Please make it quick."
Rafael wanted to stop him, but he knew Bryan needed some alone time to gather his thoughts and analyze everything before making a move, so he let him go.
Cindy exhaled a sigh of relief when Bryan exited; it had been a new and exciting experience for her, and she was eager to finish everything and return to Bryan.
"Is his name Bryan?" Cindy inquired, blushing and averting her gaze from Rafael and Astrid.
"Yeah, Bryan Orlando," Rafael smirked back at her.
"Before you wonder, he is a very good guy, the most precious one for us, and he is always like a brother to me and Rafael, so you can trust him with anything," Astrid added, clearing Cindy's doubts about Bryan's character. He was a jewel that no one wanted to lose.
"Yeah, thanks for that," Cindy replied, flushed.
"All right, let's get this over with so you can get back to your prince charming as soon as possible," Rafael chuckled.
"What were we saying?" Cindy frowned, and the topic in hand completely vanished.
"What about the mating process?" Rafael said, fearful of what Cindy would say.
"Yes, now that you've triggered Azael, you should finish the mating process as soon as possible because you don't want to trigger a demon, and if he starts clawing his way back to you forcefully, Azael will kill Rafael," Cindy finished.
"Hearing that made me feel even worse." Rafael attempted to be sarcastic, but his face was filled with sadness.
He considered even ending his life for the sake of his people, but Astrid was not prepared for either.
"All right guys, let's release the tension because it's too much and it's written all over your faces. You can tell me now that I was just kidding." Cindy felt bad seeing Astrid and Rafael in a dilemma.
"No, you're late; we won't believe it, but you have nothing to be regretful of, Cindy; you did nothing wrong; only tell us the truth," Astrid explained.
"Yes, I wish I could have seen it otherwise, but everything on this page points to the end of the world, and that includes me as well," Cindy sighed, the book open in front of her, Cindy's gaze occasionally wandering to the pages.
"Are those the only details mentioned in such a large book?" Rafael asked, his gaze fixed on the book.
Cindy chuckled. "You should have asked the better question: who created the book?"
"And who exactly did?" Astrid asked.
Cindy continued "Of course my mother did. She was immensely knowledgeable, and everything she wanted to convey to the world is written in this and sealed with magic. Even in those last moments of war when your grandparents and my parents lost their lives, everything my mother wanted to convey was automatically engraved in this book," Cindy said, looking at the book. "There are many things, but only the person who wants to know about them is asked to drop their blood on this, including the blood of the people it was intended for, which is you, Rafael, and your family, and it will reveal the prophecies, and..." Cindy came to a halt.
"What happened?" Rafael asked.
"Wait, my mother said I'm somehow connected to the prophecy." Cindy announced that she was turning back the pages she had flipped a while ago, and she was back on the same page where Rafael's prophecy was.
"Then why hasn't it appeared all this time?" Rafael asked.
"Perhaps because I didn't spill my blood on the pages," Cindy said, returning to the one-and-a-half-page prophecy and stopping on the last section of the page that had nothing written on it.
Cindy drew the dagger and slashed her palm, spilling her blood on the paper, and the words began to form just as Cindy had predicted.
She quickly began scanning the words and reading them aloud, and her eyes widened as she finished, and she exhaled a sigh of relief as she looked at Rafael and Astrid.
"Is it something bad?" Astrid asked.
"It was meant to happen." Cindy completed, "Not as much as we believe it to be because it says that the Ruveva bloodline witch (that's me, by the way) combined with a Lycan and a Necromancer hybrid could stop the hellfire, but the damage is meant to happen, and the chances of putting the hellfire off are 70–80 percent. But another good news is that if Azael's anger isn't triggered after his appearance, maybe, maybe there are slight chances of the situation not happening at all." Cindy said, her face brightening up. Rafael and Astrid felt relief wash over them Except for the chances, which she lied about because she was afraid Astrid and Rafael would not make any advances in their relationship if she told the truth, everything she said was true.
Astrid blinked a few times, finding it difficult to believe she had been so absorbed in her thoughts recently that her head was literally aching from overthinking.
"That's some positive news; now we can finish our mate bond without worry," Rafael exhaled, "but what about Eva? Is she a demon as well?" Rafael asked.
"No, let me clear this up for you; your grandfather was the demon king, and your grandmother, though not an angel, had their genes as well, which I guess Eva inherited, but there is nothing to worry about with Eva; her angel will not let any harm come to her; maybe your kids would have both the genes," Cindy explained, and Rafael calmed down because he didn't want his sister to be in the same shoes as him. After all, he loved her more than that. "Come on guys, take it easy and accept everything, and don't stress yourself out too much because everything happens for a reason, and you both are blessed in a unique way, so remove these conversations from your minds for the time being and follow the path where your heart leads you," Cindy advised.
Rafael sat in the chair, rubbing his forehead. "Yes, you are right; this is our destiny, and we must begin to accept it," Rafael said, nodding.
"Okay, that's enough for today; let's end this conversation here and not stress about it," Astrid said, looking at Cindy, who had her gaze fixed on the door, and Astrid knew she wanted to be with Bryan as soon as possible.
"Yes, you are correct," Cindy replied mindlessly, but quickly pursed her lips when she realized she had been caught in the act.
Rafael and Astrid burst out laughing. "All right, let's go now because we don't want to keep Bryan waiting," Rafael said. "And fill him with everything. We don't hide anything from Bryan; he is a family; if it weren't for him becoming impatient, we would have kept him in the library with us," Rafael continued.
They all began to leave. "And you both, I would advise that if you can go to some deserted place for the mating, that would be good considering the fact we don't know how Azael is going to look. Open space would help when he shows, and that way you wouldn't even scare these people around," Cindy suggested as they were near Rafael's room. Astrid's gaze was fixed inside the unlocked door.
Rafael thought Cindy was right and decided to leave for some place only he knew about as early as the next morning, while Cindy's gaze was fixed inside the room on the window.
"I didn't realize you could turn these places so well, but why two rooms?" Cindy asked as she examined the room's partition.
"Can you see this place?" Rafael asked, surprised.
"Of course, why not?" Cindy said it matter-of-factly.
"How, though?" Rafael asked.
"Oh, come on, you both; you can't expect someone who created the place to be hidden from her eyes," Cindy exclaimed.
"Did you create this territory?" Rafael wondered aloud.
"What? Your parents didn't tell you?" Cindy questioned. "Well, technically, I just drew that veil so you and your bloodline could enter, but how could you expect me to keep it hidden from my own eyes?" Cindy asked.
"No, it's not a problem." Rafael quickly shook his head, not wanting to make Cindy feel bad for sounding that way, but he was blunt and said whatever came to mind.
"All right, we'll go pack our things because we have somewhere to be in the morning," Rafael said, implying Cindy's previous suggestion.
"All right, I'll leave you both now," Cindy said as she returned to the walk.
"Bryan can be found on the second floor and in the third room from the right of the staircase." Cindy blushed and walked away from them after Astrid winked at her.
Rafael and Astrid spent the night debating the situation, imagining what might happen if their other side showed up in full force. They awoke and began packing their belongings.
They went downstairs to notify Bryan and Eva of their departure.
Rafael mind linked Bryan to come and meet him quickly in the living room so that he could inform him of a few important details about his business so that he could handle it while Rafael was away.
"OHHHH!!!" Everyone started hooting when Bryan entered the living room with his disheveled hair and messy outfit.
He blushed, and he approached Rafael directly. "You two have already finished the mating process!" Rafael's pupils dilated as he gazed at Bryan.
"Is it really that obvious?" Bryan grinned.
"We are not blind, and you are reeking of her smell." Rafael punched his stomach teasingly.
Bryan blushed and averted his gaze.
"I am so happy for you, man," Rafael hugged him.
They both quickly left, and Rafael, instead of using his abilities, took his private jet to the location they were about to visit.
"I have a surprise for you," Rafael said to Astrid in the air.
"And what's that?" Astrid asked.
Astrid was taken aback by what Rafael did next.
