Chapter 75. Hell Unleashed
**75. Hell Unleashed**
***Third Person's POV:***
Rafael became enraged as he looked at Vincent, who was dragging Astrid by her hair. Rafael and Azael fused into one.
Cindy was unable to react. She was well aware that her prospects of avoiding the repercussions were minimal. His one iris was blazing red, while the other was completely black.
He dashed towards her, but before Rafael could act, Vincent bought the dagger he had acquired for Rafael.
Rafael came to a halt as he saw him place the dagger on Astrid's stomach. Everyone around exclaimed.
"Everyone, lay down your weapons and back away," Vincent said.
But no one listened to Vincent's commands; they were only meant to follow Rafael's directives.
"Your royal highness, you better order them to drop their weapons right now, or you can say goodbye to both your lover and your kid," Vincent sarcastically said, his knife circling Astrid's stomach.
Azael wasn't ready to surrender Rafael's control, but he needed to control himself. He couldn't allow anything bad to happen to Astrid.
Despite the fact that both of his sides were still vying for control, no one knew Vincent had called for disintegration as a result of the trick he conducted. Rafael's wild side had done no harm up to this point since they hadn't completely fused together.
But Vincent had triggered the side and was also to blame for Rafael's vampire side and Azael's demon side joining.
Rafael appeared calm and cool on the surface, as if he had reverted to his regular self, but on the inside, his vampire and demon halves had made peace with each other.
Rafael swallowed and motioned for his soldiers to back down. They complied with his orders and moved back.
Vincent beckoned for his few remaining soldiers to approach Rafael, and they did so quickly.
"Kneel," Vincent said to Rafael.
"No, Rafael!" Astrid yelled.
Rafael's eyes widened in terror as Vincent raised the blade in the air and began moving it at full speed towards Astrid.
"No!" Just as Vincent was ready to thrust the blade into Astrid's stomach, Rafael screamed. Vincent paused. Rafael said, "I'm ready to give up."
"And then do it. I hate repeating myself." Vincent sighed and rolled his eyes.
Rafael sighed deeply and sank to his knees, dropping his head in defeat.
Everyone in the crowd gasped as they saw their king powerless for the first time, but where Astrid was concerned, Rafael's pride and dignity meant nothing.
"What are you all looking at? on your knees now," Vincent commanded everyone.
They all bowed their heads in unison. Those guys Vincent had sent remained by Rafael's side.
"You two get started, and if you, Rafael, fight their attacks, or if anybody attempts to save him, you may wish your queen and your future heir goodbye," Vincent said.
He had those two men with thick tree bark in their hands waiting for his signal.
Vincent grinned, and as soon as he gestured, one of them smacked Rafael's back while the other one hit Rafael's front.
Even though Rafael could heal rapidly, he wasn't given enough time. Rafael didn't even whimper, fearing it would have a negative impact on Astrid and his people on the ground.
There was this one attack that caused a shriek of pain to reverberate across the place.
"Rafael!" Astrid cried, weeping and trying to reach Vincent, but she should have had the blind removed first. She even possessed enough life energy to suck, but she could only use it to fight or resurrect someone, which she had already intended to do because several of Rafael's men were slain in the process. She had considered resurrecting them all; that way, they wouldn't have to lose anybody, and Astrid wouldn't be injured in the process.
Suddenly, the environment began to alter. Black clouds began to envelop them from all sides. The bright day quickly changed into night. Thunder and lightning began to erupt in every nook and cranny of the ground.
The ferocity with which the sky roared was beyond anyone's ability to cope, but Rafael understood what was going on because Astrid's emotions controlled the weather, and now that she is angry, everything is happening. Rafael, Eva, and Cindy could bear it, but everyone else covered their ears with their hands.
From the screaming, Astrid quickly realized what was going on, and when she felt Vincent's grasp loosen on her, she knew exactly where to drive her elbow into Vincent's crotch. Vincent screamed in agony, but he couldn't take his hands away from his ears.
"Astrid!" Rafael dashed up to her side. But Vincent followed her and stepped into Astrid's path, causing her to slip and fall to the ground on her stomach.
"Ahhh..." Astrid wailed in pain.
Rafael's world seems to have come to a halt. He remained in his position. His eyes were wide in dread. The weather had returned to normal, but Astrid was still rolling on the ground, clutching her stomach fiercely.
Rafael came next to Astrid.
But this time, Cindy erected a protective shield around Rafael and Astrid, preventing anyone from invading.
"Fight me if you've got the courage, stupid," Cindy challenged.
Rafael drew Astrid's head onto his lap and removed her blindfold. Tears welled up in his eyes. "Nothing will happen to our baby. Please stay with me. " Rafael stroked her cheek.
Astrid's eyes welled up with tears. "I-I am okay," she stammered, but the creases on her forehead told a different story. At least there was a good sign as Rafael examined her bofy He couldn't find any traces of blood, which increased the chances that his child was safe, but it also increased the probability of anything happening to Astrid and his child.
"Stay with me, little dove. I'll make sure this is all over very soon." Rafael stood up, wiping away his tears.
He saw red everywhere. The thought of losing his baby made his blood boil, and watching his mate in such misery made him feel that the only thing that might bring him peace was Vincent's blood.
All of his efforts to keep his fury in check and keep himself from injuring anyone were futile. Right now, he has no control over his own body.
Wings started protruding from his side. Thick black veins began to emerge from his neck, arm, and face. His fangs began to emerge from the corners of his mouth. Rafael's eyes became pitch dark, and lightning struck him. Everyone's attention was drawn to Rafael, and as soon as lightning struck him, the entire area was lighted with intensity, and when it subsided a bit, a large ten-foot demon stood in front of them.
Astrid really wanted to stop Azael, but she couldn't even get up. She was attempting to restore her strength but thought it would be best if she could allow her body some time to recuperate. She had the feeling that nothing had happened to her baby, yet she couldn't stop Rafael.
There was no time for anybody to stand and stare at Azael because a thick scarlet liquid began to drop from the sky before anyone could respond Cindy, Bryan, and Charles understood that damage had already been done, and no one dared to confront Azael.
Bryan wiped the dab of blood from his brow. They were all saturated in a crimson liquid that poured from the sky and looked disgusting. "Its raining blood," Bryan said after sniffing it, and everyone made horrified expressions as they sought to get it out of their bodies, but the more they struggled, the more it poured upon those people.
Vincent, who had been standing behind Rafael and Astrid, was now hidden by Azael's massive bulk. He only stared at Azael's back, his black wings fluttering, while Vincent stood in between his wings but on the ground while they were flapping in the air. . Vincent was shocked; he knew very well that even the slightest movement could result in his death. Those strokes of his wings were powerful enough for him to feel their power.
Azael turned around to look for his main target, and he was shaking with terror. Vincent looked like he was about to pee in his trousers.
"Who a-who are you?" Vincent stumbled.
Azael gazed down, relishing the terror in Vincent's eyes. Azael knelt down and observed Vincent's terrifying face, which was bathed in blood.
"Your worst nightmare!" Azael grinned, his eyes flashing red for a fraction of a second, indicating that Rafael and Azael had fused.
Azael stood up tall and laughed, causing everyone to back down. One of Vincent's men rushed to get hold of Astrid, who was on the ground wincing in agony, but no one dared to stand inside Azael's ten-meter radius.
When Vincent scowled at one of his men, he gulped and decided to test his luck, knowing that if he didn't, Vincent would use his power to kill him. He noticed Azael's back to the others and reasoned that Vincent might keep him occupied. He moved cautiously on his tiptoes towards Astrid.
Azael turned back just as he was about to approach Astrid. He could already feel himself moving closer to Astrid. Because Rafael was in charge, he suspected that some of their friends were attempting to take Astrid away from the situation, but Azael was upbeat. He couldn't even let anybody touch Astrid, not even his friends. When Azael turned around and noticed it was Vincent's man, he batted one of his wings, forcing him to soar kilometers and crash to the ground, killing him. Azael turned back with a sigh, his head alert to anybody approaching Astrid.
He wouldn't let anyone near her, ally or not. Everyone appeared to be against him.
"You dared to touch my mate; you tried to kill my child. Now I'm going to show you what you've done," Azael said in a deep voice. His eyes were absolutely on fire. He knelt down again and drew his long grey tongue from his lips.
Vincent pulled away in terror, but Azael immediately stroked his tongue across his cheek, wiping the blood away. When he did this, Vincent's cheek began to sting, as if fresh, hot charcoal had been placed on it. It slashed his cheek deeply.
Everyone around them gasped as they stared at Azael. This was the first time anyone had seen a demon, let alone an angry one. The scene before them was enough to give them nightmares for the rest of their lives. Vincent was still groaning in pain when Azael slashed his chest with sharp claws and jabbed his wing into him, causing him to fly away.
While everything was going on, Astrid's pain had subsided slightly. While everyone else were covered in blood, Astrid remained unscratched. Everyone was worried and wanted the rain to stop, but they also realized that getting too close to Azael would be like courting death and that only Astrid could save them. Astrid stood up as they stared at her with desperate eyes.
The ache began to fade as she did so. She desperately hoped she could transform into her Lycan form, which would instantly cure her, but she couldn't. She took a deep breath and approached Azael.
"Azael! My love, please stop all this. " Astrid embraced his legs. Azael stopped when he felt Astrid's presence and went on his knees, though even while kneeling, he could easily tower over Astrid.
Astrid grabbed his face and forced him to look her in the eyes. "I know you're doing it to protect us, but our people are suffering as a result, so please stop and come back to me," Astrid implored.
Azael relaxed a little, and his fangs began to recede and his height began to shrink again. "Let's stop all this, okay?" Astrid caressed his cheeks.
Rafael laid his head on Astrid's shoulder as his claws and veins vanished. Everyone heaved a sigh of relief when the blood shower ceased. Soon, in front of them were their beloved queen and king, whom they loved with all their hearts.
Cindy cast a spell that washed away all of the blood that had fallen on them.
When she was done, she went in search of Vincent, who was writhing in the corner. She was ready to kill him when she noticed something from a distance.
An army of demons was approaching them, and behind them was a large ball of grayish-red fire. Cindy realized that Rafael and Azael had "unleashed the hellfire."
