Chapter 18

The room was tensed with I and sufy staring at a blank space in the room, sufy kept on ruffling his curly hair while I was biting my fingers nervously.

"What do we do now?" I finally decided to break the silence.

"Await your dad, duh" he said nonchalantly.

"We can't just seat here and do nothing, at least we should find out where they are keeping her Captive" I said with my hands across my chest.

"I know where they are keeping her Captive" he said.

"Then let's go" I got up swiftly.

"You are so foolish, they are fifty and we are two. They will kill us with no iota of remorse" he said and I gulped.

"You are their member and they might not kill you, will they?" I asked and he smiled.

"Your brother hates me and will shoot me with any chance he gets, and I don't think he likes saafa. Because the day she was about to be killed, he sat in the car watching everything that was transpiring" he said and I gulped once again. It is true that tariq hates saafa but I can't still believe my brother can kill.

"Can you explain to me how my brother is a killer, and how he is leader of the Benj brother's?" I asked. I wanted to clear up my doubts.

"Wow, I'm happy you are finally believing me" he said and I nodded. "Well tariq is the head of the cult so he does not kill directly but he sends hench men to kill people and he once ordered me to kill a girl but I refused. And him becoming the leader is because he killed the Ex VC in 2018 and that was a very hard task to get done but he did" he said and my mouth instantly went agape.

"The ex VC is saafa's dad" my words came out as a whisper.

"And saafa's dad is his uncle right?" Sufy asked and I nodded.

"Oh my God. But the VC deserved it" sufy said calmly.

"How?" I asked.

"He was the one that killed Tariq's mum, which I'm very sure happens to be your mum" he spoke very softly and I nodded.

"Yes, but my mum was kidnapped and killed and Saafa's dad was to give the kidnappers the money but was late so they killed her" I said, my eyes was already dripping with tears.

"No, Your mum was sacrificed by Saafa's dad. And Tariq tried his best to stop him but failed because he was tied and made to watch it happen" sufy said.

"I don't understand, how is saafa's dad involved in all this?" I asked.

"Saafa's dad was a prominent member of the benj brothers and he was an obstacle in the benj brothers plan of taking rule over the school, so they decided that the person who kills him will become leader and that was when Tariq opted in and decided to kill Saafa's dad as a perfect revenge for his mother's murder" he said and by then, I was already crying maniacally. My whole world was swirling in circle. I should have never come to PHU.

"My poor mom" I fell to the ground.

"Heza, It's okay" sufy came to my aid and made me lay on his chest.

"No, it's not okay. My mother's brother killed her" I found myself yelling.

"Why!!!!, why didn't you inform the police about all this sufy?" I asked.

"If I had done that I would have been long dead because the Oracle will kill me. Rule of being a benj brother, never go to the law about their secret and never harm a Benj brother, except it is necessary" He said.

"And Farooq, how could my brother be so mean!. Farooq was like a brother to him" My voice was already sounding faint.

"Farooq deserved to be killed. He impregnated my sister and denied her and when the benj brothers found out they killed him for proving as a harm to me because he threatened to kill me" sufy said.

"Why will they kill him because of you?" I asked.

"Because my dad is still a prominent member of the benj brothers and any thing that has to do with his kids, he will not accept it" he said.
