Chapter 26
He walked over to me with a smile on his face, he held my hand lovingly while tucking me in bed. I smiled back at him while holding unto his hand tightly "I miss you so much Heza" I he said before vanishing into thin air.
"Tariq!!!" I yelled the minute I sat back on the bed. It was the same nightmare and he keeps telling me he misses me.
"Tariq I'm sorry, I didn't mean to shoot you. It was a mistake" I mumbled with tears cascading down from my eyes. I walked to the bathroom and performed ablution. When I came out I laid a mat and sat on it pouring my heart out to Allah. "I need to begin my fast, I need to attain for my sins" I mumbled to myself while staring at the clock which read 4:44AM, I still had time to eat sahur. I'm going to begin my sixty days fasting for taking a soul, it's part of Islam and it must be done.
I walked to the kitchen and made tea and then gulped it down. I stared outside the window and saw that the moon was shining so brightly.
"I killed my brother" I mumbled to myself while staring outside the window. I almost lost my life when I was hospitalized Because I kept on lossing consciousness whenever I remember that I killed my brother. My father got too scared that he always had to sleep in the same room With me. Then one day he decided that it'll be better I leave Nigeria and go school else where where I know not much people.
I sat on the floor with my cup in my hand with my eyes closed, I could see my brother smiling at me with his hand stretched out towards me.
"Tariq!" I yelled loudly with tears cascading down my eyes. Why was this happening now, normally I would just pray and sleep peacefully but now its all coming back again.
"Tariq" I whispered before darkness engulfed me.

"Tariq" I mumbled while clutching onto the bedsheets tightly.
"Heza it'll all be fine" the voice sounded faint to my ears.
"Tariq I didn't mean to shoot you" I mumbled again while holding tightly to the hands that held mine.
"Heza it'll all be fine" the voice whispered while brushing my hair backwards. I was trying my best to open my eyes but it felt like something was stopping me.
"Its okay" it whispered again and this time I began opening my eyes slowly and I could see his hand brushing my hair slowly with a smile on his face.
"Anwar?" I mumbled.
"Yes Heza, how are you feeling?" He asked and I nodded in the positive while looking arround the environment which I presently laid.
"Where am i?" I asked.
"My mum's hospital" he responded.
"Your mum?" I asked softly while trying my best to sit up on the bed.
"How did you get me here?" I asked.
"I called your number and It kept on ringing but you didn't pick up. And I knew that wasn't like you so I decided to come to your room but of course I didn't have a key so I had to Beg a guard and he helped me and we found you laying in the kitchen unconscious!" He said.
"Thank you" I managed to mumble.
"Why didn't you tell me she was awake?!" A beautiful voice of an elderly woman startled both I and Anwar.
"Mum" Anwar said while standing on his feet.
"How are you doing darling?" The woman walked over to me and picked my hands in hers.
"I am fine, Thank you" I whispered and she smiled lovingly.
"You have to eat something, you need strength" she said while walking over to where a cooler was kept.
She dished out a plate of spaghetti and meatballs and walked over to me. "Here you have to eat this" she said.
"I am on a fast" I said and Anwar and his mum gave me a quizcall look.
"Not now darling, your health is more important now" his mum said while brushing my hair.
"But..." I couldn't finish my sentence because of Anwar.
"No if's or but Heza, you'll have to eat" He said while grabbing the food from his mum.
"Now open up!" He took the fork and began feeding me. I was hungry, that I couldn't deny so I ate.
"Here's water" Anwar said the minute I coughed.
"Thank you" I muttered while staring at his mum. Her face, it was so beautiful.
"Have I met you somewhere?" I found myself asking the lady.
"I'm sure you haven't, Do I look familiar to you?" She asked and I nodded.
"Anwar I'm full, thank you so much" I said and he paused and placed the spaghetti on the cupboard besides the bed.
"Anwar I think we have to take her home with us, I want to watch her health" Anwar's mum said.
"No need for that Ma'am, I am okay" I said and Anwar made a frown.
"Heza please, you'll have to agree. You are not well" Anwar said.
"I a..." I got cut short by Anwar.
"Please Heza" He said and I found myself smiling with a Nod.
"Alright, I'll come with you" I said and both his mum and him smiled broadly.
